It was nearly 1AM.
And Juno couldn't sleep. And when Juno couldn't sleep, the only thing that could make him feel better was eating something sweet. And that was exactly what he planned on doing.
He wasn't sure why he couldn't sleep. Whether it was because he was still thinking about his ex-girlfriend or whether it was the added on effect of imagining one of his students as her. He shook his head as he made his way to the kitchens. There was something very wrong about it, and he felt extremely bad about it. At the time it couldn't be helped, he hadn't been in the right state of mind. Though he did have to admit that he was feeling better now, he still wasn't able to sleep well. It'd only happened a few hours ago so it was fresh in his mind.
How could he keep it out of his thoughts he wondered? He wished that BB was there. His cranky moods were always so much fun to tease and would definitely make him feel better. But it wasn't a good idea to bother him in the middle of the night, it was best to just grab some cake and go back to bed. Or try to go back to bed anyway.
Juno rounded the dark corners without needing to even look where he was going. He was so familiar with the school, especially in the dark, that he most likely could have traveled it blindfolded.
Juno in his long-sleeved white pajama shirt and black pajama pants with a white mismatched star pattern, tiptoed into the dark kitchen only dimly lit by some moonlight from the windows. He gently pulled the tiles off his secret stash entrance and rummaged around until he found what he wanted. Dark chocolate mousse cake.
Yum.
He sat down cross-legged in front of the open secret stash and took a bite out of the slice of cake. The delicious goodness sending a shiver down his spine.

Theo hadn't woken up from hunger, or adolescent angst. He had woken up because he was awfully thirsty. He had neglected a glass of water before bed, something he needed as a mouth-breather when he slept. He'd always wake up with the worst case of dry mouth ever, nasty cotton sensation and everything. He hated it. And at this point, water wasn't going to suffice. He wanted some juice.
Theo still wasn't used to navigating the Academy at night. He found himself lost on occasion, and there were already a few close calls that could wind him in detention. Did they give detention for this kind of thing? He didn't know. He thought detention was stupid anyway. Who the hell cared what he did during the evening as long as he wasn't shanking someone in their bed, right?
Rubbing his eyes with one of his hands wearily, Theo quietly opened the door to the cafeteria kitchen. He acted more like a child than a teenager in the evenings. Incessant yawning, strange child-like noises, accidentally rolling out of his bed. Perhaps he needed a guard rail, or perhaps Theo felt he needed to tie himself down to the damn bed, because requesting a guard rail was humiliating as all hell.
Either way he was starting to get bruises.
"Stupid bed," He muttered to himself audibly, having not noticed Juno's presence as of yet.

"Stupid bed."
At the time Juno heard this mumble of two words, he was in the middle of rolling about from delight at the dark chocolate cake now half-eaten in his hand. Stopping in mid-roll to look at the stranger that had spoken, Juno saw to his surprise that it was a student.
What was he supposed to do? It seemed like this student hadn't realized just yet that he wasn't alone.
On the one hand, Juno could remain hidden in the shadows sneakily eating his cake. And on the other, he could act like an actual teacher for once and startle the life out of the kid and scold him about being out of bed after hours and what not.
As he thought about what he should do, Juno took another bite from his cake and chewed slowly staring at the teenage boy that was apparently not too happy with his bed. And without being able to help himself said, "What's the matter with your bed?"
Ah shoot. He couldn't stop himself. In an instant with his free hand, he slid the tile back over his secret stash.
"Ahem. And shouldn't you be in your bed Mister?" He tried to say more sternly and teacherly, while still sitting in the shadow of the giant fridge next to him.

What's the matter with your bed?
Theo jumped. He jumped high and shrieked loudly completely caught off guard by the sweet mongering teacher. He didn't think there'd be a teacher out this late in the evening and realized he was going to need to be a lot more careful now about late night kitchen excursions.
"I, uhm, I... Uhm, a d-drink. I came to get a drink," Theo stuttered, trying to make out where exactly the teacher was, but he could barely see in the darkness of the kitchen. He hoped this would benefit him as he thought of directions to run. If the teacher couldn't make out his features, he couldn't be punished.
Wait. Why was the teacher sitting in the dark in the first place? In the kitchen to boot.
Theo's brows furrowed at the thought and he slowly began to creep off to the side, hoping to gain a small amount of ground before he decided to run for it.

Juno cringed and twitched slightly at the high and loud scream the teenage kid let out. He supposed that if it had been him, he would have been just as startled only not as vocal about it. Though in general he wasn't afraid of getting into trouble, especially when he was a student at SA. But then again, it would have been rather frightening if you were expecting to be alone and weren't.
"I, uhm, I... Uhm, a d-drink. I came to get a drink,"
Juno laughed lightly. "Hey kid, it's okay. You're not really in trouble."
Juno finally pushed himself off the floor and slinked out of the shadows of the fridge and more into the light, just to show the kid that he was a friendly teacher. It was still hard for him to even think that he was a teacher, but he shrugged that thought off.
"I'm just messin' with ya." He smiled, and then took another bite out of his scrumptious cake. "So what's wrong with your bed?"

Theo sighed when Juno told him he wasn't really in trouble, but it didn't change the awkwardness of being alone in a dark room with an unfamiliar teacher. Even with the coolest teacher, a student still felt apprehensive. Well, normally a student felt apprehensive. Theo let his mind wander for a minute and could only see Clowrey standing there with her arms crossed in his mind, asking why the creeper teacher was sitting in the dark in the kitchen.
Theo laughed. Audibly.
"Huh?" Theo said, being snapped back to reality by Juno's question about his bed, "Oh, uhm, well... It's, uh... It's really uncomfortable. I can't sleep worth a damn on it."
Theo cringed. He swore in front of a teacher. That was bad. His mom would give him the worst look imaginable if she ever found out about this. He was hoping this was a cool teacher, because if he was about to get yelled at he was gonna bolt out those doors so fast that he might as well just run right back to Ronth and face his mother now instead of later.

Juno raised a curious eyebrow at the kid's laughing, wondering what was so funny. Perhaps he didn't realize how funny indeed it was to find a grown man hiding in the dark in a school kitchen having a midnight snack. Or maybe there was some inside joke as well that he wouldn't get even if the kid told him.
"Huh?"
"Oh, uhm, well... It's, uh... It's really uncomfortable. I can't sleep worth a damn on it."
"Mmmmm.... Miss your own bed, huh?" Juno nodded knowledgeably. "Understandable."
From what he could remember of the dorm beds though, he didn't think they were all that bad. But then again... Juno could sleep anywhere, he wasn't very picky about sleeping. Perhaps because he didn't sleep very much in general.
"You know, exhaustion is the best way to get a good night's sleep." He said pointing and shaking the piece of cake at the youngster. "Have you been training enough?" Though his intent with the inquiry was completely innocent, he asked with a slightly stern tone just to mess with him. Juno was, after all, all for loads and loads of vigorous physical labor and work. This boy seemed to look quite the opposite.
