The lights in the arena went dark until the USMC Eagle, Globe and Anchor emblem appeared on the blackened titantron screen before the background appeared to burn away, leaving a field of scarlet red in its place with the words Major Devastation above and below the ensignia in gold, military-style block lettering while Warrior by Disturbed began blasting over the PA system. Once the scarlet background on the screen was revealed, the arena lighting was replaced by mood lighting in a matching shade of red, alternating with gold to the beat of the music.

The Marine emerged from the tunnel with a US flag propped against his left shoulder and the Intercontinental Championship strapped around his waist as the lyrics to the song began, stopping in the middle of the stage to salute the crowd as fountains of red, white and blue sparks began spraying around him before he started down the ramp, zig-zagging from side to side in order to high-five some of the fans.

I am now an instrument of violence
I am a vessel of invincibility
I cannot leave this undecided
Stepping down to battle another day

Remember me for all time
This determination is a vital part of me

With the endless masses that I will defeat

As he reached the side of the ring, Major handed Old Glory to the ringside attendant and performed a standing leap onto the apron before stepping between the top and middle ropes to enter the ring itself, unfastening the belt as he did so. Devastation would then begin climbing the turnbuckles and playing to the crowd, holding the newly reclaimed title high above his head in a Rock-like manner, while he awaited his opponents' entrances.

Harli came out on stage as Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold began to play, Harli walked down to the ramp as he passed fans by, giving them a dark look when he walked by them. Once Harli reached the steps, he took his robe off before walking up the steps and climbed through the ropes and into the ring. Harli would wait for his opponent to arrive

“Weighing in at 280 pounds, from Brisbane, Australia.......HARLI”

((Wait a second...unless Harli has suddenly developed time traveling abilities, I'm pretty sure that trying to simultaneously attempt a big boot to coincide with E-Rock's sneak attack attempt isn't possible, considering that the superkick attempt happened BEFORE Harli made his entrance.))

Major wasn't as stupid as his challenger apparently thought he was. Knowing full well about E-Rock's penchant for cheap shots, the champ figured that the so-called "millionaire" might be up to something fishy when his music started playing and nobody showed up...so he started scanning the crowd while he continued playing to the fans, subtly shifting his grip on his title belt from the strap to the center plate in the process.

Devastation caught sight of E-Rock out of the corner of his eye, and just as he was about to throw the superkick, the champ would quickly try to turn around in order to attempt to clock his opponent with the belt...right about the same time as Harli's music started playing. d**k move? Probably, but no more so than trying to sneak up on somebody and kick them in the back of the head, and one d**k move deserves another...and it's not as though he could get DQ'ed for doing it, since it was a Triple Threat match and it hadn't started yet.

(Sorry I didn't read the posts properly. Was just trying to get this match started, that was all sweatdrop . Let's pretend that was never posted. Assuming now that Major has his back turned to Harli.)

Harli watched everything unfold, he then went to try to cut Major down with a chop block to the back of the leg once Major had his back turned to him (<-Harli).

Harli then looked to stomp away at the fall Major.

"It's gonna be my title soon, b***h"

The champ gave a grunt as Harli's boot slammed into his midsection once, twice and then a third time. When the Aussie's boot came down for a fourth stomp, however, Major would try to catch the foot as it descended as he simultaneously attempted to sweep the other leg.

If he was successful, the Marine would quickly attempt to catch his downed opponent in a kneebar. "Keep dreaming, shitbrick!"

*If the Major was able to lock in the submission hold, E Rock would then bounce off the ropes, going for a knee drop across the Major's throat.*
