Under the ever watchful eye of the Nanny Patrol, Adenah shuffled away to a shadier place where she could spend some time by herself. Her siblings had all, but abandoned her, content to play with the other cubs while she prayed for them to come back quickly. It wasn't that she was particularly unsociable; she was just prejudiced against other cubs. They weren't as fast, as clever, as funny, or as nice as her siblings, so what was the point in talking to them?
Her golden eyes scanned over the dried earth and landed on a prancing beetle. Instantly, every other sound faded out except for her own heartbeat. Carefully, she lowered herself down to the ground, her rump raised in the air, her tongue stuck out just past her lips. Steady....steady.... Pounce!
Failure. Adenah couldn't believe it! How had she missed? Irritably, she sat back up on her paws and after checking herself for injuries, readied herself for another go.

"Come, ON, Tuz."
A loud and bossy female voice spike across the quiet. Yes there were other cubs playing and there for there was some noise, however on the other hand, with how loud she was everything seemed pretty quiet. She liked Tuz, there was really no hiding it. But even her crush couldn't escape her wrath of bossy nature. She wanted others to play with her and when she wanted them to play with her they were going to play with her if it was up to her. She told others what to do at all times and then if they didn't want to they were going to anyway. Today, although she wasn't that sure of what she wanted to do, she was going to do something even if she had to wander around until she had to find something to do.
On the other hand the red male that was following her was Tuz'rokon, he was a simple lion, down to his name. It meant firekin. He was indeed a firekin, however he was a much more mellow firekin, especially compared to the fire-y firekin that he was following. He was much more mellow than the lioness in front of him. He followed quietly, flicking his hair out of his eyes as he did. "Where are we going though? He asked her curiously, he honestly didn't know what she wanted to do, but from the way she was talking Tuz really had no other choice.
And at that moment Kalama finally knew what she wanted do, well it wasn't exactly a group activity, however at the same time she didn't care, she was going to amuse herself in what ever way she wanted to, and she wanted Tuz to follow her with it. Even if he just stood there he was going to go with her. What she had spotted was a lioness, Adenah, she didn't know that was her name. But she was going to go bother her anyway. She trotted over quickly and then started chuckling. "You missed, that's not how you do it." She laughed a little at the lioness as she came to a stop at the side of the lioness. Tuz was following behind her and then rolled his eyes at the lioness's words. He couldn't believe that this is what she decided to do. He shook his head before started to speak himself. "She tried, and she almost got it." He commented, he was normally a nice lion and he couldn't help but to attempt to be as nice as he could.

Compared to the smaller black female, a God's roar must have sounded puny. Adenah tried to block it as much as possible so she could get back to the hunt, but by the time she'd found her inner peace, the girl was coming straight for her!
Adenah flipped her ears back, looking more put out than irritated. Unlike some members of her family, Adenah was far more anti-social, and seeing as she'd never really been teased by anyone other than her siblings, in her mind, it was the worst thing ever. "Then...how do you do it?" Maybe this little female knew something that she didn't? It's not like she'd been practicing this for very long, anyway.
And thats when she saw him. She couldn't hear everything that he said, but it sounded like a good thing, and that perked her up. "Well, I tried, but I guess I'm just not a very good hunter." Adenah shrugged nonchalantly before turning back to Kalama, keeping an eye on Tuz. "Lets see if you can do any better."

Kalama turned her attention toward the other female a small sneer was on her face from the lioness's question toward her. She felt like it was unnecessary, honestly the reason was because Kalama wasn't really that sure herself, but she wasn't about to tell the other lioness that. She was going to come up with something however she was on the spot and she had to think quickly.
Tuz could almost feel the other lioness thing for a few moments but then again that was because he was used to being bossed around by Kalama. It wasn't the first time that he had happened to him where he was in these moments. "Yeah, Kalama, tell her how to do it." There were times where he liked to corner her like this but yet he knew she always found a way out. She was honeestly good at finding a way out. It didn't take her long though before a response almost exploded out of her mouth from excitement.
"Well, TUZ, it's easier then she's making it seem that's for sure! Why don't you just know how to do it?" And with her a response came another from the male. "Then show us." He insisted before turning toward the female and that was when he moved to the slightly older female's side and flopped down on his haunches and looked at the lioness. "Well?"
Kalama didn't really like it when Tuz got this attitude with her. And he would get it from time to time. But Kalama wouldn't mind, he was cute and that was all that mattered. On the other hand she knew that if the lioness said the wrong thing she was going to get mad really quickly. She turned toward the two then puffed out her chest and turned around, she started to walk the other way toward the creature the other lioness was going after. She tried tot hink of how the others had done it before. She had seen adults hunt she was pretty sure that she could too. She creept closer to the ground and started to move slowly her body close to the ground. Her tail was straight up in the air but it wasn't like the lizard was going to see her.
With in two seconds of hitting the ground she was in the air leaping toward the lizard. she was hoping for the best, and out of sheer luck she barely grabbed it, trapping a leg under her paw, but she moved quickly scooping it up in her teeth and then turning toward the other two the it dangling a large grin was on her face.
"luck." Tuz couldn't help but to mutter under his breath.

"You know, I am right here." Even though she found Tuz to be amusing, the way he was baiting her like that, Adenah really didn't like being talked about like she wasn't around. Or stupid. She'd had enough of that from her siblings, thank you. When the male settled down at her side, she turned her anxious gaze to the bossy one. "Well?"
Adenah watched with awaiting eyes for something to happen. In her opinion, Kalama, that was her name, right?, looked really stupid. She was strutting around like she was the baddest thing in the pride, but the way she held her tail said otherwise. And yet, she didn't say a word. Bossy as she was, Kalama had managed to get the lizard when she couldn't so all Adenah could do was gasp. "That was so cool!"
Then she stopped and turned to Tuz, her ears flipped back a little. "Well...maybe luck was involved, but she really did catch it."

Tuz turned toward the other female and shook his head "I'm aware, the only thing is that I'm trying to prove her a point." He said simply shaking his head at her, he was a little grumpy that the lioness bothered to say that. He didn't like it at all really. eHe knew that he was pretty sure that the other lioness didn't understand that she didn't understand how to deal with Kalama, because that was the way Kalama was and that was what you had to do with her. She paused for a moment and then shook his head. "I am pretty sure it is just luck." She stated simply once again shaking her head adn then he heard Kalama speak.
"What do you mean luck!" She snapped at the two not sure of what to think of that. luck! She had more than luck that was skill! Or at least that is what she was playing it off as. "I got that myself with no luck I just did it!" She said shaking her head. "I mean I did it better than her." She sated motioning her paws. And then she didn't want to deal with it anymore and she wanted to do something different. "Is there anythin to do around here?" She asked the lioness. "I want to figure out something to do, there is three of us we can figure out something."

Adenah's ears flipped back on her head as she pouted. Seriously? Was her ego really that- Okay, so maybe it was large, but wasn't everyones? What made her so special that he had to down play her acheivements?
It was when Kalama snapped at her that Adenah stood straighter, her full attention on the younger female. "Luck was on your side though, right?" She edged carefully. "But you did really great. You must practice alot, right?" Even though she had no ambitions to hunt, that didn't mean that no one else did. And just like that, they were moving on to something else. Adenah just couldn't keep p with this girl.
"Well, we could scrap, or something. " What were you supposed to do with others? Usually her siblings picked the games, so it felt...odd to have that much input.

Kalama eyed Tuz before then turning toward the other female with a huff. She couldn't help it. She was a little annoyed at her. Well really annoyed but she was trying not to loose her temper around Tuz. There was no hiding that she had a rather... large crush on Tuz. She would deny it if you asked her on the other hand. She sighed and flicked her hair out of her eyes before flopping down on her haunches. "It is much more than luck. You don't get that kind of luck. Beside I practice far too much to just brush it off as luck." She spoke proudly, she felt like she was good enough to do many things. She knew in her mind that she was just lucky but she wasn't going to admit that. No way in the world.
Tuz also knew it was luck but finally he rolled his eyes. "Lets just figure out something to do." He decided that was the best thing to do right now. He turned toward the older lioness and then shook his head. He could see that turning into a disaster with Kalama. He was young but he was smart. Especially when it came to dealing with things like that. "We should do something much more interesting." He suggested. "We could go up to the rocks or something. Those are fun to climb as long as we don't get caught." He suggested simple that was interesting to him that was for sure.

Adenah couldn't help it; she crouched down onto the ground. Firekin or not, she was still a young girl, and a sensitive one at that. Every time Kalama opened her mouth it sent a shock wave of nerves up her spine. It reminded her of how her brother would talk to her when he wanted to get something done that wasn't happening right on his schedule. Scary, but kind of cool too.
"I've never been to the rocks before." In all honesty, she stayed pretty much in her own little area most of the time. "What happens if we get caught, though?" After all, there were different levels of trouble. It could all range between a stern look and full on punishment.
