Kirigakure's academy, sometimes referred to as the University, is the village's primary source of education. It's location is on a sole island that lays in the middle of a vast oasis like gulf. Ninja of all ranks must walk or swim across the calm waters reach the Academy. On the island, the Academy has been noted for having a magnificent library that hold a huge variety on a vast amount of subjects. Everything, except for the scrolls of jutsu, are free to be taken and read by any member of the village. Contrary to what is believed, the library is devoid of any damage. However, small but beautiful plants litter the rooms. Shinobi will find varies types of harmless plants growing along the surface of many of the library's book shelves. All of the Academy's buildings are all smooth on the outside, making them difficult to climb by any means. The roofs are steeply sloped to accommodate the large amount of rainfall that the Mist village gets. More often than not, it is the non-enrolled students that learn the most. With buildings that contain materials pertaining to their work roped off specifically for the shinobi of the village, civilians are kept out of harms way. Different classrooms are scattered about the island, letting both ninja and civilians mingle and even learn the trades of one another. The island also includes a hospital for the weary, injured, maimed, or generally mauled person.
