Santos was meticulous when deciding where to send the groups. With little information to go on, and only his years in the force to guide him, he decided to that the city and neighborhood were the best places to focus efforts. While other areas wouldn't go unchecked, He was fairly certain an attack would be geared toward high population areas. While Bisshalten and Specter had the northern half of the neighborhood covered, it was the duty of Event Horizon and Vegas to comb the southern half. These dogs don't like to talk to police, but they may talk to someone less official, or speak a little too loudly from over the fence. Keep your ears open and your solutions creative. Vegas slowed to a stop as he reached the invisible line between the northern and southern parts of the Summerwood neighborhood. He tossed a look over his shoulder and realized that he had left his teammates behind a bit but he could still see them so that was something. I've got to remember to slow down sometimes, we have no idea how long we'll be out here searching and I've been expending energy like I get to go home in a few hours for dinner. he chastised himself mentally while he waited for the others to catch up.
Honestly he hadn't meant to take off and leave them behind, he was just so intently focused on finding intel about the possible attack that he had lost track of anything except getting to his starting destination, hopefully Event would forgive him for the slip up and they could move forward as though nothing had happened.

 As the groups moved off, Forget me not picked the least threatening looking group to follow. Despite her large frame, she hung back as far as she could while still keeping in hearing distance. Her right ear was shredded and she didn't hear really well out of it. Keeping to the shadows, she kept silent as she trailed after the trio of dogs. The attack didn't include her, she didn't hear anything about it but it didn't sound good to her at all. She wanted to ind out more to preserve herself from the attack.

 Poison was panting as he caught up to Vegas who had stopped to wait on him and Event. The group had been assigned an area of the city that Poison hadn't been to before. He looked around at the houses that stood in rows along the street. "So, where do we start?" he asked out loud, not to anyone in particular.
He still wasn't sure what they were supposed to be doing here, but hoped one of the officers would fill him in on what his duty was. He hoped he wouldn't run into any dogs that he and Slime had picked on before. That might cause some trouble for him that he wasn't up for right now.

 Event was grateful Vegas stopped to let them catch up, he didn't want to call out to a fellow officer in front of a civilian and give a talk about safety and partnership. Was taking in the lay of the land when he heard Poison, "We stick together, seeing that we're an odd number and head towards the fire hall, there's an burnt out building along the way that we could check out for squatters. If that's a dead end then at least we'll be close to the boys over at the fire house, maybe they heard of something going down in the area. If that's a dead end too, well at least they have some good eats there. Agreed?" He smiled and wiggled his eye brows at the others.
Event thought he saw a flash of blue out of his peripheral, it could have been nothing or it could have been something, either way it set him on edge. He looked to the other. "Well lets stop wasting day light." And he moved to go.

From over a nearby fence, a high-pitched, whiny voice can be heard, seemingly talking to a friend.
"Yeah, they're pretty bad! I haven't talked to Ricardo in a while, but I think Teeana knows more than she's letting on. Such a drama queen, always keeping everything secret! No fun at all!"
.... Pretty bad? Maybe it's time you found Teeana's house.

Nodding in agreement with Event's suggestion Vegas looked to the other member of their group "Event is right, we should head in that direction, even if we don't find information on the way it's still a good place to start. He set out again, intent on reaching the burnt out building where he was almost certain they would find some evidence of strays, whether they were the hostile attack group or not was another matter.
As they headed down an alleyway he picked up the sound of voices and he moved faster, staying as quiet as possible until he reach a spot where he could clearly hear what was being said. Once he was in range he stopped abruptly and his ears pricked forward to listen in on the conversation on the other side of the fence. Ricardo... Teeana... hmm... I don't think I've heard of either of them before... but maybe Event or Poison has." As the conversation took a turn to other topics Vegas turned and eyed his partners wondering if they had picked up any of the conversation or not.

Poison licked his lips. Food did sound good right now, but that wasn't the priority here. He chuckled to himself.
Still unsure of where to begin, he just followed along behind the german shepherd and wolfhound. When Vegas picked up his pace, Poison stayed back a few steps to let the officer have some room. He hadn't heard anything until he got closer, then he heard the voice of another dog coming from the other side of a fence. He stopped to listen. The voice was in no way familiar, but the name Ricardo seemed to ring a bell. He didn't know where he might have heard it before though. He shrugged and passed it off as just some random dog gossiping with a friend, and looked to see what the others were doing.

Event nodded in confirmation when the others agreed. when the others started to walk he drop back and took the rear position, the wolfhound liked it back here, it was much easier to keep an eye an everyone. His ears twitched and swiveled to every sound as he tried to keep an eye out for danger. As they walked through the alleyway he heard the high-pitched voice too, he focused on Vegas eyes, he knew of a Teeana but she was ruff and hard to get information from.
Event jerked his head to the south east, "She's on cherry st." He turned back not wanting to go past the dogs that where talking only a moment ago, just encase one of them get recognized, and headed for Teeana's home.

Vegas was relieved when Event mentioned that he had heard of Teeana and was quick to motion for Poison to keep close as Event took off and Vegas fell in step just behind him while making sure to keep an eye, and an ear, out for any other clues or signs of them being followed.
When they were out of earshot of the dogs who had inadvertently helped them on their search Vegas spoke. "So Event, what do you know about Teeana and Ricardo?" Vegas was quite curious as to the reputation of the dogs they were trying to locate, after all, being a recent transfer did have some disadvantages, one of the main ones being he didn't know the dogs around town. He curious about whether Poison knew anything but the spaniel hadn't mentioned anything when they had stopped in the alley and Vegas was content to take the silence as meaning that their companion had nothing to say at the moment but hoped if he did have anything to offer that he would not be afraid to speak up.

Poison was a little confused at the almost silent communication between the two officers, but took it as his sign to follow again. So far, this entire thing had just been about following someone for him. He was getting a little angsty and wanting something to happen. Anything to spice up this so far boring excursion.
When Vegas asked about Teeana and Ricardo, Poison was a bit apprehensive to mention anything, especially since he wasn't sure where he'd heard the name before. He thought he'd just play it cool until he figured that part out.
"So where's Cherry Street? Are we close? And how do you know Teeana?" he asked as they made their way there. It never hurt to ask questions.

As the group she watched happened to be a few garbage cans. She watched from between the shiny objects. What were they doing? She couldn't hear the conversation. When they headed back her way though, she tried her best to curl up behind the cans to not be spotted. Why had she followed so close? She kept as quietly as she could as the trio slipped past her.

As they headed out of the ally Event caught the smallest glimpse of blue fur by some trashes cans, that he swear he saw earlier. He didn't say anything but shot a glace at Vegas and motioned his head to the fur to make sure he was aware of it but that was all. He'd wait to see if it continued to follow them and for it to play it's hand.
Once out of ear shot Event looked over his shoulder to Vegas, "I don't know of this Ricardo but I know a Teeana and I'll bet anything it's the same one. She's always getting into trouble because she hangs around the wrong crowds which is really too back because she used to be a great kid." He let out a heavy sigh. "You'll have to be the one to talk to her, Vegas. She doesn't like me too much...-chuckles- Says I'm too fatherly and shuts down. Oh an Cheery street is just one more block over." Event looked both ways and when the street was clear of cars he crossed it. They entered a quiet and sleep block of house, he walked a few doors down to her's and stood in front of it.

Poison walked quietly along behind Event, not knowing where they were going.
When they stopped at the house, he sat at the end of the walk, away from the police officers, and waited to see what would happen next. He looked up at the house and thought he saw a curtain move in a window.

Vegas caught Event's signal and turned his head just a bit to catch sight of the light blue fur hiding amidst the cans. Strange, seems they had a tag along but was the intent to help or to hinder? Vegas would be sure to keep an eye and an ear out for any trouble from the dog.
When they reached Teeana's home Vegas nodded his head, it didn't appear that any humans were at home at the moment but he could swear he saw a curtain moving in the front room. "Well, I suppose all we can do is try to get some information. I'll do my best."
With that he made his way around to the backyard and searched for an entry point before finally settling on just barking semi-quietly to try and draw out the canine resident. "Hello? Is this the home of Teeana?" I have a couple of questions I'd like to ask." He stood at the ready in case he was greeted with any hostility but he hoped that she would just come out calmly and speak with him.
