[How the murder mystery is going to work]

x. Liv and Sillie are running the plotline, so we will give you cues and clues either through narrator posts, NPC posts or our own characters. Based on our posts, you may interact with one another and the environment. We’ll let you know what happens to you when you interact with certain things. This also means we are in charge of planting evidence, which means even when people log off they will continue to be suspects.

x. We have sent everyone who has expressed interest in the guild a PM that either says “victim” or “murderer.” You are not allowed to discuss whether you are a “murderer” or a “victim” (because that would take the fun out of guessing!) The murderer, by not being caught, wins an extra prize for their cooperation, and has been instructed that they are to play their part of innocence to the extent of planting false information. Therefore, you have no idea who to trust. : D

x. This is a mini-RP event, which means that everyone is expected to reply in third person paragraph form. That means no asterisks. The posts don’t have to be long, so if you only write a paragraph, don’t worry about it! We’re here to have fun, but we want to keep it consistent.

x. In the case of this RP, Liv and Sillie are your almighty Higher Power. Ultimately, what we (or our characters) say is going on is written in law. This is just to ensure that we’re moving forward.

x. We might kill you. Yep, you heard me right. This is a murder mystery after all. :] But don’t worry. If we do kill you it will be near the end of the plot, and it doesn’t affect your guesses. The plotline will explain everything.

x. If you need to leave for the evening, have your character fall through a trap door (or some other mysterious event that separates you from the group.) When you can join back in, you can write yourself rejoining a group after falling out of a wall or from behind a bookcase. Whatever fits your fancy.

x. There will be two chances to guess who the murderer is. Liv and Sillie will indicate both times and you can PM your guesses to us. When it comes to the second guess, if a clue has made you change your mind the second guess round is when you can decide to keep or change your guess before the murderer is revealed. The murderer may not be as clear cut as you think.

x. Accuse each other. Sew the seeds of distrust. Test those bonds of friendship. That's just what the murderer wants. *Maniacal laugh.*

x. Ask us questions if you don't understand something. We'll be in the Common Room at the same time we're running this, so just pop in there and toss a question to either Sil or Liv. You can also PM either of us if you'd like.

x. Have fun or we'll kill you. Just kidding. Or are we?

[NPC Character List]

Don't fall in love, 'cause these guys might be dead or put a knife in your back! <3

Nathan Daye
A finder that originally investigated the incident and disappeared inside the mansion.

Corbin Bailey
Companion to Nathan, also a Finder who has disappeared inside of the mansion.

Dominik Gabriel
Finder currently assigned to the group entering the mansion.

Charlotte Leyett

House maid for the last 30 years who has not been seen since the odd events started happening.

Sandra Leyett
Charlotte's teenage daughter. She is also missing along with her mother.

* * *

[Active Character List]

Road Kamelot (oONoah of DreamsOo)
Road Kamelot is the Ninth Disciple, and is truly named Road; she represents the "Dreams" of Noah. Despite her early teens appearance, she is referred to as the "oldest" Noah or the "First Child". She is gifted with the ability to travel dimensions without using Noah's Ark and has shown some use of complete regeneration, telekinesis, and telepathy.

General Cross Marian (Bakasensei Cross)
Cross is Allen's master, a sorcerer, scientist, and a very powerful General. Cross has the unique ability to convert Akuma and make them work under his orders. He is the only Exorcist to have control of two anti-akuma weapons. Judgment, his Equipment-type anti-akuma weapon, takes the form of a revolver. Cross is able to fire several bullets in rapid succession with no need to reload. These bullets will not cease until they hit their target. Cross is also able to use magic to control the corpse of an Exorcist named Maria, allowing him to use her Parasitic-type anti-akuma weapon. Her defensive ability uses her song to create illusions that can conceal the presence of others. She (or Cross) can also use her song to control the person's movements by affecting their brain waves.

Lavi, Bookman Jr. (Lavi and the Hammer)

Lavi is a cheerful 21-year old red-haired Exorcist of mixed race. He aims to become a Bookman, a person who records the hidden history of the world, and has been trained from a young age to achieve that goal. His anti-akuma weapon, simply named Tettsui and referred to as Ōzuchi Kozuchi, is capable of growing and extending to undefined sizes and lengths. The weapon allows him to use "seals" that control several elements of nature.

Silvia Mirabelli (Her Silhouette)
Silvia Mirabelli is the 22-year old Italian-American scientist turned Exorcist. She boasts a highly scientific mind coupled with a lively spit-fire personality. Her Innocence chose her while working in the lab, and though she has fragments of Innocence in both of her wrists, they are two halves to a whole. Her Innocence is known as "Doku Hebi" (Poisonous Snake) and turns to armor-like scales that split to allow the portrusion of large fang-like growths. They excrete a paralysis poison that will cause the limb of contact to go completely limp.

Michiyo Saruwatari (Michiyo Saruwatari)
Michiyo is a 20 year old Exorcist recently transferred from the Asian branch. She is of Japanese origin but grew up in China and joined the Dark Order at the age of seventeen. Her anti-Akuma weapon is called Kusari, a chain-like weapon that has both offensive and defensive uses, such as constriction of the enemy or forming a living armor around her body.

Liv (-Livverz-)

Neither Noah nor Exorcist, Liv is a human stuck in the middle of a war of monsters. She lives in the Noah mansion with the whole family, Tyki Mikk her loving partner. She acts as an Aunt to Road, and dearly cares for all of the Noah family. She has no powers to speak of.

Chaoe Yuuka Kurokawa (Cerberus_Chaos)

A nine year old mixed blood japanese american who works for the order as an exorcist. She is determined but rather childish. Her innocence takes the form of a spiked club, she had cherishly named it cCerberus after the guardian Dogbeast of Hell. She likes to believe herself as a sort of guardian to the people she cares about. The second form of her innocence takes the shape of spiked pillars that surround her and her enemy like a cage.

It was mid November that evening, and darkness had already descended upon the world. The moon was glowing high above the trees, round and pearly white, close to full. A chilling breeze rustled the leaves that littered the ground, sending them scuttling across the earth.

In a secluded area of town, there rested a mansion. The tall, iron gate and long, stoned path that led to the home were less than welcoming; thistles and weeds lined both sides of the path, too tall to see above, their dead stalks and sharp thorns a fortress against anyone and anything. The house itself was magnificent in stature, three stories plus loft and attic space boasting wealth and nobility. All in all, it appeared there had to be nearly one hundred rooms in the house.

The old stone exterior and dark, cathedral windows added to the intricacy of the old building. Large turrets and steeples topped every bit of the roofing, coming to sharp, jagged points. Everything about the mansion was dark, harsh and unsettling. Rain clouds were even beginning to settle themselves above, shadowing the house even more than the night alone had. The only light shining at all was that of the moon.

It was a spooky evening already indeed, and things were only beginning...as the Exorcists approached the front porch of the mansion they were reminded of the words that Komui had left them with during their briefing the day before. As usual, screaming for Lenalee to bring him coffee and hidden behind a pile of disarrayed papers, he seemed unconcerned, but the mission he gave to them was far more dire than his laid back demeanor.

The Macellarius Mansion, owned by the great alcohol tycoon Malcolm Macellarius who created the well-known rum known as “Red Rum,” had been a center of controversy since the death of Malcolm Macellarius a month before. Once the old man died, the mansion was left to be watched over and cared for by the maid Mrs. Charlotte Leyett until the eccentric tycoon’s next of kin was found. However, Mrs. Charlotte, along with many other individuals seeking the secrets of the Red Rum formula and Macellarius’s will have disappeared once they passed through the front doors of the building.

Suspecting Innocence or Akuma involvement, the Black Order sent three finders to investigate. Two finders volunteered to enter the building, while one finder stayed behind to keep contact with the Order and keep his ears open in town. The two who entered the Mansion never returned.

Consequentially, the Millenium Earl has also gotten word of this unusual phenomenon. It is suspected that he dispatched Noah and Akuma to beat the the Order to the punch.

"hmm...This place is a whole lot like our mansion back home..cept it's gross and boring.." A childish sigh escaped a dark haired and golden eyed girl as she took a look around the foyer of the newest place innocence had been detected. The Earl had sent her, Road Kamelot, to find what was going on and what might be the cause of it. It wasn't hard nowadays for akuma to grab onto some finder and steal their information, and it was just as easy for her to get from place to place with her cross-dimensional door. She was carrying the usual trusty companion of an umbrella shaped golem named Lero, who's nagging echoed through the halls. As she walked from side to side, trying her best to ignore the plight of the talking annoyance that was lero, her new clean maryjanes click clacked through the large empty room, and her eyes sparkled, light coming from an unknown source to light them up even more than her Noah blood already did. Road wanted to go through one of the doors, any of them really, to see if she could find something interesting. Instead, the lero umbrella howled and refused to allow her to do just that.

"Leerrroo!! Don't go in there when there might be exorcists running around alreeadddyyy!!!" It whined. Lero's gender had always been much of a mystery to anyone that wasn't lero the Earl, but at the moment it sounded like a nagging mother. "Remember the last time you went in without checking lero? There were exorcists everywhere lero!"

Road sighed. "Duke sent me here! Why can't I go in...? I'm sure there's something behind the doors and I wanna gooo!!" She whined, tossing the umbrella aside and ignoring it's calls, she jumped on the door and attempted to use all her weight to pull any of them open. Any at all. "Grrrr! GRRRAAAHHH!!!" She screamed in frustration and kicked at the barriers keeping her from any of the rest of the rooms or house. "Why can't I open it!?" She growled.

"Maybe it IS innocence and it won't let us through because you're a Noah Miss Road!"

"Shut if Umbrella! Or I'll kick your head off!!" She growled. Just then, something caught her attention. The door knob to the outside..had it just jiggled? Had it moved? "Is the door...opening...?" She asked, though it very obviously was, and she ran to the thrown away umbrella, jumped on it, and flew in the top most corner of the room, waiting to see who it was, and planning an ambush if it were an exorcist...

Liv also wandered around in the Foyer, having arrived with Road. She was wearing a victorian dress, corseted with a large bustle. Her hair done up in a bun, was golden with luscious curls dangling down here and there. She felt very out of place, and it almost felt like the room had some kind of energy emanating from every surface.

"Road, will you relax? I'm sure we'll find a way in soon," she tried to calm down the bratty girl.

"Tyki asked me to look out for you, you know. Silly, really...since there's nothing I can do to stop you," she stared around at the ceiling, fidgeting.

"What was that?" she jumped as the doornob to the outside jiggled. As Road flew up into the air riding Lero, Liv backed away from the door to stand at the far side underneath where Road floated. She waited with bated breath to see who would walk through the door.

"This place definitely gives me the creeps..." the young, red-haired Exorcist and future Bookman looked up at the large mansion in front of them, stuffing his hands in his pockets to keep them from getting cold in the night air. If properly taken care of, it would have been a beautiful building, but the overgrowth surrounding it and the eerie shine of the moonlight on the windows was making it a scary sight.

When Komui had given them the mission, he hadn’t been all that worried. Sure, it would be bad if the two missing Finders were dead, but things like people going missing had happened before. These were his initiative thoughts, though. Something about the dark mansion looming over them gave him a feeling of dread. He removed his hands from his pockets and carefully touched the large, double doors in front of him with the tips of his fingers. Nothing happened.

“I’m going in, guys.” He called back to his comrades and pushed the door open with the same hand he had touched it with, the other firmly on his hammer in case of an immediate attack. The door creaked ominously as it swung open slowly, revealing the foyer. Lavi stepped in, hand still on his anti-Akuma weapon, and looked around the bare room. The first thing he noticed was the lack of furniture or anything for that matter, except for a single table in the middle of the room in front of him. “Doesn’t look like anything or anyone’s here…” he told the others, relaxing his grip on the small hammer attached to the side of his right leg.
PostPosted: Sun Nov 13, 2011 1:39 pm

The General stood at the back of the group, keeping an eye on all the Exorcists. It was unusual to see a General on a mission like this, but in this case, Komui really believed Cross would be a necessary part of the team. Cross didn't mind much, because it gave him an opportunity to see his apprentice in action, as well as keep a watchful eye on her. As he puffed on his cigarette like always, he watched Lavi approach the entrance.

He wasn't sure what might happen if Lavi touched the door, or even if the door was solid. In cases like this before, it wasn't unusual for the door to actually be a kind of gateway one could simply walk through. However, Lavi touched the door and there was no ominous sign.

"Oy, rabbit...I suggest you don't touch anything when you go in there, and wait for everyone to get inside. I'll bring up the rear," Cross spoke authoritatively.

He assumed that being the General here and having the most power, both as an Exorcist and in rank, he could order people around. Not that it mattered in his mind, because he ordered people around even if they happened to be above him. He watched as the rest of the group began filing in.

Michiyo shivered a bit, not only from the cold outside but also from a chill that seemed to emanate from the building itself. She had hung back a bit from the large group of Exorcists waiting outside the spooky manor, feeling a bit out of place, but a sudden crack behind her made her jump forward closer to the others, her heart already pounding.

Oh, get a grip! she reprimanded herself mentally I'm not even inside yet and I'm already quaking in my boots! Some Exorcist I am. At the Asian Branch, where she'd lived for the last three years, she spent most of her time doing odd jobs here and there. She tended to be a bit clumsy in the heat of the battle, so after a first desasterous mission Bak-san tended to keep her at base, much to her annoyance.

As she watched Lavi head over to the door - doors which seemed to scream HEAD BACK NOW with every fiber - Michiyo sent a quick glance towards the group of Exorcists watching him with bated breath. This would be the first time she would be in combat, and her performance would no doubt be heavily scrutinized by them all. It was doing no good to her nerves.

As the doors opened and the group slowly filtered in after Lavi Michiyo moved with them, quickening her step to get in to the front of the group, adjusting her face to hide her fear. Better show some guts! Even though I feel like emptying them...
PostPosted: Sun Nov 13, 2011 2:14 pm

Chaoe stared at the manor with a pout. She hadn't wanted to go on this mission at all, prefering to stay back so she could learn how to cook with Jerry. Now that she had gotten a good look at the manor they were to be investigating she only wished she had put up more of a fight against Komui.

She huffed, even though she was nine she did not look down upon herself and believed herself to be just as good a fighter as anyone else, however a deep feeling of dread started to grow the longer she stared at the old manor.

She watched Lavi and Michiyo, whome she had yet to interact with so she didn't know what to think of her yet, head inside. She took a breath and started inside after them. Growing all the more creeped by the emptyness and coldness of the interior.

Sil was far more nervous than her exterior would ever show. On the outside, the young golden skinned woman looked calm and collected, the last cigarette of the night lolling between her relaxed lips while her hands were busy rolling up the sleeves of her Exorcists jacket. There were many stark differences between her and her General, Cross Marian, but love of smoking was not one of them. She knew it was a terrible habit, and she didn’t endorse it, but she just couldn’t stop. Even now the sweet taste of the smoke caressing her senses calmed her, brought her a peace that she had yet to find somewhere else.

The black and red Exorcist uniform she had donned for the last few years had become nothing more than a second skin to her. It fit well to her lean body, which on first glance boasted the litheness of a dancer, not a fighter. However, anyone who knew anything about the dark underbelly of the world knew that as an Innocence bearer the playing field became far more even.

As she gently flicked the ash from the end, the burning embers drifting towards the wet ground to be extinguished, she eyed the group that had been sent on the mission with her with a certain scrutiny. As a past Innocence repair scientist she was familiar with many of the Exorcist’s capabilities, but some of the newer ones still eluded her. The newest, Michiyo and Chaoe, were of particular interest to her, and also worry. Greenhorn was written all over her face. Cross would break in the green horns fast enough with his less than desirable tactics.

Drawing a final drag out of her cigarette, she flicked the rest into a nearby puddle hearing it go out with a hiss with a sadness knowing it could be hours before the next. “Alright, let’s do this,” she muttered as she entered with the back of the pack with Cross. For the first time, the door behind them clicked to a full close, and beneath the hand of the person who closed it, the door disappeared.

“Oh hell, that can’t be a good sign,” Sil stated, glancing around the room for another exit. “I guess all we can do is keep going forward until we find the missing people. We’re going to have to split up though. This place is gigantic,” her voice echoed through the empty room.

Narration:

Dominik approached the table, picking up the note that laid upon it. With a shaking voice he read the note out loud to everyone in the room:

Welcome, friends~

Are you ready for your minds to bend~?

Many others have tried to escape before you~

Every last one has failed~

You only have a limited time, so use your precious seconds wisely~

Choose carefully~

I'll be watching~

-X

“What is that supposed to mean?" The shaky Finder asked, his voice visibly afraid. "Has anyone ever seen an Akuma write a note like this?" He passed the note around to the Exorcists in the room so they could take a look as well. "We better keep this note with us, to bring back to headquarters."

All the Exorcists and Noah will have to pick a door; choose wisely.

((We can take a moment here to let the Noah join the group. After you pick a door I will pipe in with the narrator again.))

With the exorcists in the area, and Road recognizing a few of them right away, a poutish frown drew itself onto her young face as she saw Cross Marian. The general had been the cause of a lot of trouble. A lot of things had been his fault, and she hadn't seen him for who knew how long. It had been him at the Ark, she'd known that, but other than the slight scent of his cigarettes, her eyes hadn't set sights on him in such a long time. She also noticed that there were other exorcists along with him. The few girls, she didn't recognize, the other red head she did however. '1...2...3...4,5' She counted in her head. In her head, that was more than enough exorcists for some fun time, however, she didn't like the fact that none of them were Allen Walker or that pretty Lenalee girl. They'd make do though that was for sure.

Her weight shifting slightly on the flying umbrella under her sparkling shoes, she bent down to stare at her 'Aunt' underneath her, a sly grin spread on the same lips that the frown had been on just a bit before, and she lead the umbrella away from their hiding spot, and into the dim light of the foyer. "Miisstreess Roooadd! Noooo!!" The umbrella had already announced her entrance though, and she didn't want to go back anyhow.

Once again her lips folded into a smile, and this time they let out a small giggle as she watched them from above. "Oooh~ How fun! Exorcists~ There's a Book man to play with, and a few girls~" For a moment she ignored the General, only her eyes showed that she acknowledged that he was in the room, before she continued. Her umbrella guided her around them all, circling them a couple times before she continued to speak. "We made it here for...but I'm good at sharing... so I decided I'd let you play along~" Her decisions were made on the spot, and her demeanor was very playful, though she spoke roughly, the tone in her voice giving away her cunning. "Let's play a game..whoever finds the innocence first...doesn't die~" She smiled. She'd heard the note be read, and she thought it fun to play along for the moment. She wanted to go through the door in the East, as that one was the one she's tried so hard to open, but she would wait. Patience hadn't always been her virtue, if ever, but she would need them to open the doors if she couldn't...

Liv watched as all the Exorcists filed in, and she let out a low breath, relieved it wasn't the owner of the Mansion, or someone else that might get in the way. She was unconcerned at their presence because she knew Road would be able to pick them off one by one if need be.

She didn't try to stop Road as she unveiled herself, unlike Lero. She took it upon herself to emerge from the shadow as well, and stood at the other side of the table from the Exorcists. She had heard tales of one couple, the tall redhead and tan girl next to him. They had to be General Cross and his apprentice. The others didn't look similar to anyone she had heard Tyki describe though, and she wonder how Road would handle them.

"Road, stop teasing," she only said it out of habit, knowing well that Road would never stop.

She wondered what the Exorcists would think of her, or if they would even know who she was. Maybe they'd even think she was another Noah they had never seen before.

"Hello, Exorcists~" she raised her hand and wiggled her delicate fingers in greeting.

She watched them all closely, and she could tell that the orange-haired girl in front was quite nervous, even if she was in the lead. The youngest of the group, the little girl, seemed like she didn't even want to be here, like she had better things to do. Maybe Road would find something "better" for her.

The younger man in front looked quite cute in Liv's opinion, and he seemed very relaxed for the most part. Was he the one Road had called a Bookman? That meant he must be very intuitive, able to pick up on every detail. It might not be so easy to keep things from him.

Lavi rolled his eyes at Cross' words as he moved further into the large, empty room to make space for the others following him in. There isn't even anything to touch... When the entire group had gathered inside of the foyer, the double doors through which they had entered closed and, much to his surprise, disappeared. That might explain the missing people, it was likely they were unable to get out. The feeling of dread grew inside of him at this turn of events, but his face remained calm.

Crossing his arms, he followed the remaining Finder's movements towards the table with his uncovered eye and frowned as the man picked up the note that had been lying there, surprised he hadn't noticed that when he had examined the room when he had entered. As the Finder read out the note out loud, his frown grew deeper with every word. What the hell is going on here? Accepting the note from the Finder, he stared at it, memorizing every word written before passing it over to Michiyo, the new girl he had only met a little while back, standing closest to him.

A sudden sound and familiar voice made his heart freeze for a second, glaring around the room madly before the source appeared above them in the air. The annoying umbrella that is usually accompanied by... Road! So there were Noah involved, after all. Immediately his right hand shot back to the little hammer on his leg, ready for use if necessary. As Road circled them while she spoke, he followed her with his eye. Judging from her words, she wasn't going to attack them right here and now, but this game of hers didn't sound too promising, either. A movement from the corner of the foyer where Road and Lero had appeared from attracted his attention. A young woman emerged from the shadows to join them in the middle of the room. Lavi eyed her suspiciously. Who is this? She seems like a human, but she addressed Road very familiarly. Is she an Akuma...? Unusual behaviour for an Akuma, though... she must be a high level.

Looking around at his companions, hand still on his hammer, he awaited their judgement on whether they should stop and fight or play along with Road's game for the time being.
