Prior to the surrounding, the dark mirror court had been entierely devoid of masculine presense.
It had also been a band of four, but that was beyond the point.
The point was that while mirrors had been planted at a few strategic points across the city by either their queen herself or by Leto, Requiem, and Gaia, some of them were, well...
In awkward spots.
Like women's restrooms.
So, Deneb Kaitos had taken to planting a few mirrors in locations less awkward for himself, Al-Janah, Orpheus and Remarque. It also doubled as training, or so he liked to think.
After planting his last mirror, he traveled through it, coming out of a mirror hidden on the rooftop of a small apartment complex, and that was then that he was all but hit like a semi with a power aura he had never felt before. That certainly hadn't been there, a second ago, and the dark mirror senshi had half a mind to hightail it right back into his mirror. He'd had enough of messing with high powered senshi the first time around.
The thing that stopped him ? Was the fact that this felt nothing like a senshi.

Corruption, the familiar press of a fresh aura, He turned, a curious gaze to confirm his suspicions and gave a small nod, both acknowledgement and interest to see the young man who stood now between him and the mirror that was secreted onto this roof top.
“Good evening.” The General king said in almost an amicable tone. Strange to think that he was the most ‘easy going’ of the General Kings or Queens, the one at least a few had realized they could bring problems or curiosities to. “One of Ares, but fresh blood.” He observed. “Your name? Your sphere?” He questioned turning away from the view he’d been gazing over and walking closer to study the translucent ‘vest’, dark fabrics and eye sigil.
A pause and then he continued in that young but velvety voice. “Ah, my apologies, you look confused.” He paused his even pace and then offered up. “General King Zinkenite.”

For a moment, he said nothing - both startled and confused. He knew about the negaverse, of course, and knew that they were allies... Through the two groups did not seem to mingle much. But now he'd just stepped right in front of someone who seemed one of the other's group leaders, fact confirmed as the blue haired man spoke his name and rank.
There was a frown on his face at being called fresh blood, but really... he couldn't deny it. "Deneb Kaitos." He finally said. "Twilight."

A laugh, harshly bitten back though perhaps not wholly unexpected given his sphere, and the books so popular with so many romance starved people. “Interesting.” He said and let his eyes flick over your costume once more. “When did you join her if you don’t mind my asking? Is she currently recruiting?”
He sounded particularly interested in if she was, though if he had a reason for that interest he didn’t seem likely to share just yet.

In a way, Deneb Kaitos was probably a lucky man - no one had made the perhaps obvious joke, at least not in his presence. He had yet to even make the correction, which... was probably for the best, really.
He'd certainly be rather annoyed if it did. But for now, Zinkenite's amusement was met with a raised eyebrow and arms crossing in front of his chest - defensive body language. He had to admit this was a little intimidating, if only by the aura pressing all around him.
Damn, one could probably feel this guy from space.
"Curious, arn't you ?" Totally the best way to adress one of the highest ranked officers of your allied faction. Totally. "I think she's always looking, really... Through, uh." He made a face. "She, well... in that huge battle. You know, in space ? I was awakened there."

“Yes, yes I know that battle quite well.” He nodded with an odd expression that flickered over his face and was gone. “Do you know what she looks for? Or should I ask that question of her personally?” He lofted his eyebrows ignoring the small ‘slight’ regarding his curiosity. Daneb could have no idea just how very ‘curious’ this General King could be so why not keep asking the questions.
“And yes, yes I am curious, I find asking questions is the best way to get answers. Strange little habit of mine.” He looked further amused though it flickered and died.

"I have no idea..." He admitted. He'd really only seen Ares once - hadn't gotten to talk to her directly, even. Even if he had, well... his mind had still been reeling. It was probably better this way. It would be no good to give a bad first impression to the woman whom he now owed his life to, so it was probably better if she had taken little notice of him while he was wide-eyed and confused.
"Well, that's certainly a better way to get answer than to not ask at all." He had to admit. "Since we're apparently at the asking questions phases of this relationship... Do you have any idea how we ended up in space to begin with ?"

“How?” He tilted his head and looked thoughtful before shaking his head no. “None, other than it had something to do with the white moon, likely specifically the Zodiacs given that the event revolved around the surrounding, it’s the most logical assumptive leap I can make, secondarily the sacrifice of the missing civilians involved restored the barrier we were trying to ensure could not be restored. It was a terrible blow.” His mood darkened almost visibly at the words, a failure, humbling, infuriating and unthinkable. They had been so close to winning only to have it snatched away on what amounted to a wing and a prayer.

"Hm." Deneb Kaitos scratched the back of his head - clearly a little nervous. "They didn't seem to know either, unless they were really good actors..." Or maybe most of them did not know - and those who did said nothing ?
It was hard to imagine some of them, like Grus or Maia, to be able to do such a thing. No, he much preferred to think that they might be saved, but... each thing in it's own time.
"Do you know who's pulling the strings ? I mean... These's so many of them. Who are the most influent ?" It would be good to know, really. "It would be great to have a good idea on who exactly to watch for, if you wouldn't mind..."

“With your Rank I would not concern yourself with those in the greatest position to pull strings, it’s far too much risk and I will not see your court weakened by my request.” He said and held up a hand to forgo any feelings he may have just caused about inadequacy.
“The senshi live on lies, it is what they must do to hold faith in what they believe in. They say they fight for order and justice, but for all this they lack the unity of our respective orders. They lack discipline and professionalism. I believe that most would rather try and place themselves into a position of importance rather than to consider the whole. Some do little more than see us as shallow dark fiends, monsters under the bed with no humanity because it’s easier to fight us that way. Yet they recruit chibi senshi, a dangerous game to play.”

There was indeed a frown on the dark mirror senshi's face - but even he knew that he was new, fresh-faced, and in many ways lacking.
He was endlessly irritated by it. But still, Deneb Kaitos decided not to press on. Later... perhaps.
Wait. "Chibi senshi ?" He had no idea what that even meant. Of course, he already knew that all senshi were not made equal. He and the rest of the dark mirror were the best example of this.

“Chibi Senshi” He replied with a small nod. “Children, very young children, eight or so I’d hazard in age” He waved a hand and his face registered disgust. “I’m sure that you can judge for yourself the theoretical benefits of recruiting senshi of an age that even we might hesitate. However, I don’t believe we can let that be a long term deterrent, be prepared because they will grow.”
