Hariti looked around herself finding that the are around her seemed familiar almost. Maybe there was a chance that this area was connected to her past? Maybe this area was where she used to play as a cub? She pulled awat looking a a particular formation of rocks walking over there she smiled this was their old den the den where her family had lived when she and her siblings were small cubs! Hariti lay down on the inside of the den it was large enough to fit their family of seven. So it was nice and large now with just her in it. She let her mind wander back to the days when she was just a cub back to the days when she had first wandered off on her own.
Looking around the young cub smiled softly at the back of her mother as she fadded from view going out to hunt while she thought all of her cubs were sleeping. Hariti however was not asleep and was wondering where her mother was going slipping from her place next to her brothers and sisters she looked around outside of the den before padding off in search of her mother. After traveling a bit she began to grow tired and lay beneath one of the trees she was near for a short nap never noticing the short rain that fell around her covering up the scent trail she had been following as well as washing away her paw prints that were her only way home. When she woke up Hariti began to panic her little voice calling out for her mother as she ran through the under brush hopping to find her mother only to fail as night began to fall.
Hariti gave a slight shiver as she though of that first night out alone in the plains by herself. She had been terrified for the first few months as she taught herself to hunt and scavenge so she wouldn't starve on her first time being on her own. There had been a few close calls as she learned how to hide and run from any that could possibly harm her being very wary of any others around her. As she grew Older she had gotten better at this. Finding the little things she had been messing up on going away only to be replaced by better habits.
The now older leopard stalked through the grass of the plains around her making sure her step were soundless as she stalked after her prey killing it and pulling it down with her as she pulled up back to the safe area to eat refusing to eat out in the open where another could steal her hard earned kill. Teaking a bite of the tender meat she was careful not to let to much of the blood get on her coat knowing it could manage to draw unwanted attention to herself. Slipping into the den after leaving the rest of the carcass a ways away from her den for the night after she had eaten her fill she smiled falling asleep.
That memory brought a smile to her face as she slipped out of the old den she had lived in. Moving to yet another area this one not familiar to her at all as she looked for a smaller den to spend the night in. Finding one a bit of a ways away she smiled heading inside the den that was big enough for one or two and no more laying down glad to find the den though it might be a bit cold by herself. Thinking back she thought of the way that just a few months ago she had her gotten back to these lands. She know most everything about these lands and she was glad she did.
There were some dangerous lions out here in these lands. So many hunting and living in these lands had no sense of personal space or any idea of how to get anywhere with out managing to scare the prey away so it stays in the area instead of moving on to the next feeding ground. Looking around the small den she looked into an enclave surprised to see a small pond in the the enclave that seemed to be fed by a spring. This was such a nice den she would have to come back here again, maybe make it her den if she decided to stay in the area. It was such a nice den that it was going to be such a good idea to do this that she might go ahead and stay there. Laying back down she smiled looking at the floor. That was it this was this was now her den. Maybe she would find someone to share it with eventually.
Coming back to the present she smiled looking around. Yes she would go back to that den it would be hers again and that was where she would be away from this place and the bad memories she had of Growing up alone maybe she would finally get around to finding that mate she wanted. After all she wanted cubs of her own and she had wanted them for awhile now. A family of her own one she would care for and protect and never loose them the way she had lost her own family. She smiled getting out of the den hoping she could make it back to her den by nightfall which wasn't for a few more hours.
She ran back to the den stopping to walk every now and then not even stopping completely when it started to rain her fur getting soaked as she ran. Finally making her way to the den she smiled glad to find it empty yet again. Who knows maybe she would find a Male to share it with soon. It was the perfect size for her and a male as well as a few cubs.
