The Seven Swordsmen of the Mist are the most legendary sword-wielders in the known world, possessing skills and weaponry greater than those of the average Shinobi. Information on the Shinobi and their swords is posted here, but beware: even the most harmless looking sword has power beyond that of almost any Shinobi when used properly. You have been warned.

To become a swordsman, one must contact the current Mizukage through private messaging and you will receive details on how to become one. Only Jōnin+ can become a member, but if you are of a lower rank you can still train to become a future swordsman. You have to be apprenticed to one of the current Swordsman if you wish to become a member of the organization. If you are a Jōnin+ and have been apprenticed to one of the organization's members, you meet the requirements and are able to join the organization once the spot is open.

Description:
The Kubikiribōchō (首斬り包丁; Literally meaning "Decapitating Carving Knife") is a massive broadsword shaped like a giant butcher knife, passed down from generation to generation amongst the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. It has a circle cut out of the top and a semicircle near the handle, which fit the sword's purpose of decapitation aptly, and the latter gives something to wrap a back strap around, in order to carry the weapon. Its extremely long handle is detachable, being screwed off before traveling and reattaching it for combat.

Innate Ability:
○ Passive Ability
The sword has no passive ability other than its sturdy build. Even using the cutting element requires immense force in order to cleave through the blade. Its durability is its greatest asset.

Activated Ability:
○ Weapon Class Ability
Like every other weapon used by the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, the sword possesses an unique power, this being its ability to reform itself using the iron harvested from its victims' blood. This regenerative process takes place almost instantly, and is capable of bringing the weapon back to its original perfect condition no matter how severe the damage is, from a simple chip or a nick to a completely missing half of the blade.

Description:
Hiramekarei (ヒラメカレイ) is a double-handled sword. The Hiramekarei has two holes in the upper end of the blade that shoot out chakra, which can seemingly be formed into weapons such as a hammer. However, it is apparently heavy, giving it force behind each swing.

Innate Ability:
○ Passive Ability
The innate ability is pure blunt strikes. Though it has exceedingly high durability that is its only asset for those unable to master this blade.

Activated Ability:
○ Weapon Class Ability
The ability of the Hiramekarei is to translate chakra into large objects in which it can cause mass devastation. By using differentiating amounts of chakra the wielder can create a hammer to bluntly pummel their foes.

Description:
Kiba (牙; Literally meaning "Fangs") is a set of twin swords of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. They each have been imbued with lightning, displaying enhanced cutting power in a manner similar to the high-frequency vibrations of lightning-based chakra flow. It is this capability that has resulted in these "thunderswords" (雷刀, raitō) being claimed as the sharpest swords in existence.

Innate Ability:
○ Passive Ability
Though the blades are capable of having lightning channeled through them by any with the Raiton element it does not bear weight on its natural construction. The edge of the Kiba blades are so sharp that they slice through normal weaponry with relative ease. Making all those who would combat against these blades in a clash without knowledge of weaponry will be easily overtaken.

Activated Ability:
○ Weapon Class Ability
The abilities of the Kiba allow the wielder to summon lightning even if they are not of the Raiton element. Allowing the swords to vibrate at a frequency that cuts through most if not all blades. It's reverberating prowess even surpasses that of other techniques that use raiton to cut. It's ability to manipulate lightning also comes with several specific techniques.

Description:
The Kabutowari (兜割; Literally meaning "Helmet Splitter") is one of the swords of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. The sword itself consists of a giant axe and hammer, linked end-to-end by a flat thin leather-like rope, which together are referred to as a "bluntsword" (鈍刀, dontō) that is said to be able to break through any defense.

Innate Ability:
○ Passive Ability
Blunt strikes with wither the Axe or Hammer, the density of the weapons make them unbreakable and uncuttable by any substance.

Activated Ability:
○ Weapon Class Ability
The true strength of Kabutowari is it's ability to decimate any defense without fail.

___• Solid Defense
Although the length of cord means each weapon can be utilized individually, to cut and crush obstructions respectively, their true strength lies in their capability to be employed in conjunction with one another. When facing a particularly difficult or seemingly impenetrable defense; the wielder can first attack by striking with the axe, before slamming the hammer downwards onto its blunt backside, thus using the blade like a wedge to drive straight through the offending obstacle and into the desired target located behind.

Using the hammer on its own the user can imbue their weapon with chakra and slam it directly into the chakra based obstruction, causing it to vibrate and scatted upon impact.

Description:
The Nuibari (縫い針; Literally meaning "Sewing Needle") is one of the swords of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. The blade itself assumes the form of a narrow "longsword" (長刀, chōtō) that greatly resembles a large needle, with a long length of thin wire mirroring thread, tied to the eye located at the base of its hilt. This sword is said to possess the ability to pierce all and stitch them together,

Innate Ability:
○ Passive Ability
The swords passive ability lie directly within its shape. Making it more akin to a rapier the Nuibari can stab directly through even the hardest of flesh with little trouble. While the same can be said for defensive jutsu the ability to pierce defenses with such a thin blade would be absolutely pointless.

Activated Ability:
○ Weapon Class Ability
A true wielder of Nuibari is able to fully master its piercing prowess. A capable user can even throw the sword with the intent of piercing a line of multiple enemies, before catching the needle at the other side and repeating the process at different angles, in order to create knots of corpses with the wire passing through the entirety, effectively creating bundles of bodies at various points along the length of the thread.

Description:
Shibuki (飛沫; Literally meaning "Splash") is one of the swords of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. The blade utilizes various exploding tags, contained within a substantial scroll, in order to incorporate explosions into the user's own swordsmanship, earning it the title of "blast sword" (爆刀, bakutō). The sword itself features two distinct sides, with a narrow cutting edge located down the entirety of one length and a wide platform section on the other. The aforementioned scroll unrolls along this latter side, sliding downwards and resting atop its surface to form an individual segment comprised from numerous exploding tags, which separates from the remainder upon detonation. Only once the desired opponent comes into contact with the platform, do the exploding tags finally ignite and then detach, providing a small opportunity for the user to escape the devastating blast radius, while simultaneously compensating for any resultant recoil. The sword is seemingly able to reload another segment of tags onto the platform, automatically after each strike.

Innate Ability:
○ Passive Ability
___• The wielder is capable of using the exploding tags three times within a single battle. After using up the allotted reloading times the wielder can no longer make usage of the exploding tags until the battle is over and a day has passed.
___• Outside of battle the wielder is capable of initiating the explosion no more than once a day.
___• The resulting explosion is no greater than that of a regular paper bomb and while it is capable of injury it cannot kill a shinobi.

Activated Ability:
○ Weapon Class Ability
___• The wielder is capable of using the exploding tags five times before expending a B-ranked amount of chakra to refill the used up chakra scrolls. Granting them another five swings in which to perform the attacks.
___• When outside of battle the wielder is capable of unlimited use of the blades exploding function allowing for the most devastation.
___• The resulting explosion from a Master Swordsman is highly concussive and is capable of rendering an opponent completely unconscious and seared upon direct impact. The resulting explosion is several times greater than that of normal explosives. Making the wielder highly dangerous.

Description:
Samehada (鮫肌; Literally meaning "Shark Skin") is a large living sword comparable in size to the Kubikiribōchō. It is described as "the most terrifying of all the Seven Swordsmen's blades". At the tip of Samehada's handle is a small skull. Its actual blade is covered in scales, which causes it to inflict shredding or shaving damage rather than cutting what it comes into contact with. The effect is similar to a shark's skin, hence its name. While it ordinarily remains rigid, Samehada is able to stretch and bend to a great extent, allowing it to be used like a flail.

Innate Ability:
○ Passive Ability
Samehada is an extremely durable blade able to take on many chakra based attacks before it flees. Due to it being picky it tends to scamper away from ninja below Jōnin rank as they do not have a presence befitting it. A normal Jōnin wielding this blade are able to use its scales for shredding any enemies it comes into contact with. In the same respect any other who picks up the blade will be met with a defensive spike that runs through the hilt of the blade.

Activated Ability:
○ Weapon Class Ability
Samehada is unique for being a sentient weapon that gains nourishment from the chakra of others. The blade is happiest when engorged with chakra. Although it constantly feeds off of the chakra of its owner, its largest "meals" come from fights wherein it absorbs the chakra of its owner's opponents. Such an ability allows Samehada to literally slice through an opponent's technique and even prevent techniques from being performed by absorbing all of the opponent's chakra. This is particularly useful when fighting jinchūriki, as Samehada can quickly deplete their large chakra supplies as well as remove their chakra cloaks. However, it seems to be unable to automatically absorb ambient chakra, all instances where it's absorbed chakra are when his opponent had a visible aura around them.

The wielder has access to the large amount of chakra Samehada hosts.

○ Appearance - Samehada grows larger from the chakra it absorbs, [when it exceeds its intake of chakra] its scales becoming longer resembling shark fins and its mouth, located at the tip of the blade, becoming more pronounced. Keeping Samehada wrapped in bandages apparently inhibits this growth.

___• When absorbing chakra from an attack, Samehada absorbs chakra equivalent to the chakra used to perform the jutsu.
___• When the Samehada absorbs a demon's chakra cloak the demon host affected will have been depleted of their chakra supplies and may downgrade or even remove the chakra cloak.
