His ears flattened against his head as Hathor gave a light growl. But he was quickly relieved that it was for her mother and not him. And Blind? Oh that hit him like a ton of bricks, he wasn't bothered by the fact that she was blind- but that he didn't figure it out. And there he was looking stupid trying to hide his belly. He heaved a sigh of relief and uncrossed his legs sitting comfortably now. His stomach was still giving him the gurgles. "Sa. Ok. We can look for Sa. I've never heard of a Sa." Grand-dad might- he looked over to the mess filled pen. On second thought, maybe it was safer to have Hathors mother ask. The two probably knew each other being Nannies an all.
"Grand-dad might know huntresses mother." He didn't know if he should touch her in the direction of his pen. "My grand-dad is Feleji, he's another Nanny. You might know him."

Taika looked or tried to look at him. A male named Feleji? She thought a moment before hanging her head and shaking his softly. There was a possibility she knew him but then most other Nannies stayed away from her not wanting to have to worry about watching her and the cubs.
~
Hathor looked at her mother then to the male a moment. "We never asked him." She reminded the male. She had gotten a bit scared and fled as fast as she could away from the very forward touchy-feely male. She looked to her mother wounder if she could ask but that would be a bit hard. "We...should try again." She said with a sigh. "We can't ask mother. She does not speak."
~
Taika's ear rested against her head as she listened to the two. She began to wiggle a little before standing on her feet and stretching maybe she should leave the two alone? She wish she had some was to communicate with them it was hard not being able to speak but when ever she tried the words would just not come out.

"We could ask him again..." He really disliked the idea of getting his back pounded in again, or eating a face full of pavement. "But perhaps from the other side of the gate this time..." At least it would give them both a headstart if Feleji felt like jumping over and molesting them again. Ugghhhh he did not like the sound of it one bit.
"Feleji would be the one watching all the disaster prone cubs..." He nudged her in the direction of his pen softly.
He then took a gulp. "So shall we do this?" His tail twitched back and forth against the ground nervously. He really did like to keep the food he ate down.

She nodded a little before turning to her mother and telling her by with a nuzzle before they went of to the gate. She was nervous as she walked to it. She stopped a good ways before they even reached the gate. She stood there looking at the gate before looking to the male coming up behind her.
"We do not wish to be attacked again." She said looking at the male with a very slight desperation in her eyes. "We wish to stay here where its safe like you said." She said with a firm nod.
"Maybe we shouldn't do this!" she quickly said looking to the male a bit frantic. "We should look more try again? If we find nothing then we ask? He can't really know everything can he?" She asked as she quickly began to leave the temple before they could get caught.

"I agree. I'm not into being attacked, but if we want to find your brother he is the best person to ask." He gave a long hard sigh and padded just in range of the fence, his gut giving a stark wobble with each step. "Grand-dad...got a question for you?"
Out of no place the old lion shot to the fence, he then slid and stopped. He lifted up one paw pointed an aged finger at the boy and laughed. "Oh you got me there kiddo!" He looked down at the fence. "Can't leave my post! Got kiddie's to look after!" He took the one paw that was extended and made a wide sweeping motion at Zorua that he had to duck several times. He then took the same paw and rested it on the gate as he propped himself into a sitting position.
"I see the girl is feeding you well." He went to slap him the realized that he had a gate between them. He pouted only for a second then laughed louder then before. "Good to know. I was worried you were going to starve to death at the rate your going!" He then took the unbusy paw and waggled the fat roll on his belly. "Your going to look like your old man!" He said most proudly.
"Anyway ye had something to ask me kid-DOE?"

Hathor watched the two closely she had tensed up the moment she saw the elderly lion move quickly to the gate. She did her best not to show any evidence that she wanted to flee instead of ask the man afraid he might just come after the two they where after all still in the temple not far from the cub enclosure at all.
Finally she noticed that she would have to speak to explain to the male who they where looking for. Sighing heavily she moved closer to the enclosure she really didn't feel like raising her voice a bit unnatural of course normally she didn't care about that sort of thing at all.
"We are looking for our Sa. We wish to know where our brother is." She said hopeing she would not have to explain what he looked like knowing that would just get down right confusing and rather annoying on her part.
"We wish to know where the Scribe Sa'a'Hayet son of Taikarana and grandson of Athurn." She said opting to go with his full name and lineage hoping that would give him enough information.

Oh yea that was all he wanted to look like when he was older. He cringed as his grandfather impolitely grabbed his fat and shook it. That's not something anyone wanted to have in there mind. He blinked once or twice hoping the image would go away but unfortunately it didn't. "Yea...ummm...I want to look just like you when I get older." He lied pathetically. He would have to have a serious talk with grandma about his public behavior.
"THAT'S THE SPIRIT KIDDO." He finally managed to smack him in the corner of the arm. Zorua quickly face planted on the gate then slid down to the floor making a 'thunk' as his skull hit the ground. Lucky though his food had digested enough that none had come back up. Feleji looked more pleased then ever as his grandson landed on the ground. Oh how much he loved kids!
His attention then turned towards the female who had stayed far enough back that he couldn't touch her at any measure. A disappointment, but she'd get a hug from him later- even bigger then the one she would have gotten now to make up for the fact.
"Sa?" His eyes traveled up to the back of his head. "Oh yea I know Sa!" And squinting he now recognized Hathor too. "Yea I know you both...but I wasn't your nanny." He raised a paw to his chin and scratched it. "Last I know about him was he was at the outskirts of the desert; got lost I believe? But don't know much more then that, hasn't come into the temple since the start of the drought anyway- didn't come in before either...but I'd be checkin' those outskirts. Maybe he's still there."
He was about to turn around and walk back to his cubs to leave the pair to wander before he paused and spoke softly to Hathor. "And tell your mother I say hi- that she's more then welcome to come over here with me any time she likes. I've never turned a blind eye on anyone." He gave a jolly salute and he was off once more.

The female watched the male he heart began to race. He was lost? He was out on his own in the drought? He didn't know how to hunt as far as she knew. What was he thinking!? she yelled out she began to pace she was furious now with her brother he must have been loosing it. Maybe he got heat stroke and thought about going out to find her? Yeah that might have been nice she might forgive him a little but not going out on his own the stupid idiot! She thought she was about to leave before she stopped and looked to the elderly male.
"We thank you." she said with a bow before she took off running out of the temple. "YOU COMING!?" She yelled out over her shoulder at the male she couldn't wait for him if he didn't follow she would go on her own she was strong enough she would brave the drought and the storms to find her brother.
She didn't care if he did the same for her she would do it for him. He was her beloved she would make him pay make him feel her pain of the years of being lost with her mother looking for their home.
We will never forgive you! She yelled out in her head as she kept running she moved up the dunes getting to the higher parts of the pride only to yell out as the sand began to beat against her so hard it began to hurt. She was still persistent however and pushed further.

"Thanks Grand-dad." He whispered in a hushed tone before racing off behind the female. She was going to get herself killed running out into the heat of the day. He followed then suddenly the heat hit him on the way out. It was like knives had been driven threw every little part of his body.
"Wait up!" He called and tried to keep her white body in his sights. "We are going to die out here in this heat."
He panted hard and threw on a burst of speed to dash infront of her. He then blocked her path. "If we die out here- nobody can save your brother...and your mother will be left alone without you." He despritley tried to reason with her. "If he's made it this long then I'm sure he's found some cool place to be in during the day. Please think about this...we have to go back to the temple until night time when it's cooler." He continued to stand in her way.

She growled and pushed forward she tired to move around him but he only got in her way. She finally just lunged forward against him but he had the upper footing and easily became a solid force to her. She tried to pushed through him.
"Why!? Why are you stopping us!? We must find him!" She yelled out loudly as she shook her head not caring the tears in her eyes where starting to gather. She kept pushing against him she was getting tired and her pushes where slowly growing more lax till finally she just slumped against his body her body was shaking. She began to sob against as she rested her head against his upper chest and shoulder she let out a small whine.
"We...we don't care if we die." she said weakly against his chest as she lost all will to push forward she was to tired all she wanted to do was find her brother make him pay she didn't even noticed the strong male in her path trying to do his best in protecting her.

"Yes but I do." He took a paw and brushed the tears from her eyes. "And I don't want anything to happen to you." He continued to stand his ground. "If I lost you-" He gulped and didn't want to think about it. "I just don't want to loose you." He was firm about it. "Just please. Lets look for him tonight when it's safe." He gave her a small comforting nuzzle to the side of her cheek.
"I swear to you that I will look for your brother until my dying breath. But you must promise me that you will stay safe." He looked into her eyes with his big red ones. He was pleading as hard as he could. Even if he wasn't very bright he knew the dangers of being out in this heat too long; and god he really didn't even want to imagine loosing this special unnamed female.
"Please?" He whimpered back at her.

The female was shocked she looked at the male her eyes full of confusion. Did she just hear him right? Surely she had. She knew her hearing was not going back and she felt no sand in her ears so he had to have just said that to her.
She watched him for the longest moment before she finally just leaned into the male resting her forehead against his. "We...will stop for now." She she before opening her eyes they felt so heavy she wanted to sleep but she was to tired to go to her home. "We need rest." The female said before letting her head to fall to one side.
"We can not make it home...we are to far from home." She said softly before looking to him. "We wish you to take us...Take us home beloved." She said softly as she leaned closer into him. That right he was her beloved now no longer will she think of her brother he didn't deserve the title any longer but this male did this male that was willing to die for her.
