[[I wasn't sure if you wanted to throw in your girl or not.]]

Taini was settling into her new hope happily, she was really enjoying being in one place and feeling of safety she was getting from being in once place. She still really didn't understand the whole situation that brought her to this new home but at the same time she didn't mind that much. So far the thing that she did mind was that she couldn't really leave the den yet, that upset her. She wanted to go and wander and see the things around the new home. She enjoyed the den though, maybe she wasn't paying attention enough, but her mother also seemed to enjoy the new home. She wasn't really sure what this whole new 'pride' thing was. she called it her new home. When she wasn't calling it her new home she was also calling it the den. Thats what it was. A den. Right? Whatever it was being called she wasn't sure but she was just happy she was very, very happy.

Tai was up a little early, she flicked her tail around behind her as she wiggled around her mother's side and looked toward the front of the den. Tai knew very much that her mother would probably be upset if she walked out side of the den with out her mother knowing, or for that matter being okay with it. She flicked her hair out of her eyes and stood up moving around her mother. she was trying to move as quietly as she could. She didn't want to wake her mother or her sisters. She knew she would get in trouble if she woke one of them up. She flicked her hair out of her eyes and then started to trot slowly toward the front of the den. She really wanted to get out of the den and see the world but she couldn't. She sighed and then flopped on her haunches toward the front of the den. Getting comfortable as she did. A small smile was on her face as she watched the area out side of there really wasn't that much to see however it made her happy enough.

A moment later and Taini's mother stirred, pulling herself up and crawling across the den to flop next to her curious little daughter's side. She was still grieving for the loss of her sons, but she had relaxed over the last few days and had begun to settle into life within a pride.

It was odd but not as bad as she had initially thought, though to be fair she hadn't been out and about as much as she possibly should have been.

"Awake already, dear one?" She asked, reaching out, nuzzling in against her daughter's little cheek. "Eager to see our new home, are you? What do you say to a bit of an adventure today, then, hm?" She blinked, casting a look back at the two sleeping forms of her other children; Signa and Shesha. If they stuck close by, a bit of wandering would be fine, Nissa was sure.

Taini looked at the older lioness as she started to move her way. she was a little surprised that her mother was coming her way. She really wasn't aware that the lioness was awake but she didn't really mind. She was happy to see the lioness, she loved her mother. She didn't really understand the loss of her brothers. She knew that there were more of them at first but she didn't understand now. She flicked her hair out of her eyes before looking at her mother. "Yes, mama." She said quietly as she then wiggled a little closer to her mother and leaned against her getting comfortable with her.

She was excited as her mother talked about going on an adventure. She wasn't really expecting her mother was going to offer to go out on an adventure. That made her extremely excited. That meant that she could spend her time wandering around and seeing what was around. Even if they came right back she would still be really excited.

Giving her daughter a gentle nuzzle as she passed, Nissa emerged from the den and out into the pale sunshine, its touch bearing only the slightest of warmth. It was a refreshing temperature - not humid or uncomfortable. She wondered whether that was something to do with all of the trees.

She was not used to trees.

Nissa paused to wait for her daughter to catch up, brushing aside the grasses to clear them of morning dew. "I have to admit I'm not too certain on where to go yet." She continued softly. "But I'm sure we'll find something of interest. So. Which direction first, little one?"

Tai followed behind her mother with her head held high, keeping and eye on all directions around her, she was excited to see as much as she possibly could. Her little paws trotting a fast a she could to keep up with her mother's larger ones. She was excited to be out of the den. Not only out of her den but being able to get some of her mother's attention by herself. She knew that there were some cubs that had many more siblings and when they had all of those siblings she was pretty sure that they didn't get too much attention. But that didn't mean that Tai didn't enjoy her siblings but she just loved her mother's attention.

She paused and then looked over and smiled brightly. "I don't know mommy..." She trailed as she thought about it. she didn't know where she was going either. She knew this was their new home but she was a little upset that her mom didn't know where they were going. She paused and then nipped playfully at her mother's tail. "When we were coming here there was a big tree, can we go see it?" She asked her mother curiously, sitting under or climbing around the big tree sounded like an exciting adventure to the little cub. especially when her mom went with her.

A big tree...

She thought she remembered it. The trees here were incredibly beautiful and not at all like the scraggly, pathetic specimens she remembered during her time travelling out in rogue lands. They were a strange comfort and the wind through their leaves was a delightful thing indeed.

Nissa shook her head vigorously, still getting used to the lack of weight from no longer wearing her headdress. She felt strangely naked without it. But, at the same time, she was glad to be rid of it. To put all the horrors of her past behind her and move on with her daughters around her.

With a small smile, she glanced down at Taini and gave a nod. "We'll track down this tree. I'm sure it would not have gone far." And she led them back down the path they had taken to arrive at their home in the first place, enjoying the dappled shade and the refreshing breeze in her face. The breeze brought the scent of other lions with it and of distant herds. It was odd to be surrounded by so many other lions. A little nerve-wracking, in fact, but she had to keep reminded herself that these were pride cats. They were different.

"Ah! There we are!" She brandished a paw to indicate the tree and then quickened her pace a little. "Shall we race, my little one?"

And of course, she would let her little girl win.

taini looked up at the older lioness with a worried face. She wanted to know if what the lioness was saying was true. "I hope It didn't go away!" She squeaked, she really, really, really was hoping that the tree didn't go anywhere! That would be upsetting, she liked that tree, they had seen it before and she wanted to climb up on the large thick branches of the trunk of the tree, she really, wanted to climb them and she was extremely upset at the idea that the tree might have wandered away." She kept up with her mother's trotting looking around as she did. She was keeping an extra eye out for the tree. There were few times that Taini got excited enough to prance around after her mother but the excitement of seeing something from her new home and also spending some one on one time with her mother made her so excited.

She paused before moving closer to the older lioness before pausing and looking at the tree in front of her. "Mom! You found it." she squeaked a little excitedly before smiling and trotting toward her mother and then looking at the tree. She was quiet for a moment before speaking to the female. "that sounds like a fun plan." she giggled and then flicked her hair out of her eyes afterward.

With a laugh, she loped as slowly as she dared without seeming to obvious that she would let her daughter win. The ground beneath her paws was cool and soft, the grass cushioned instead of sharp and prickly. Everything about this place was calm and gentle and she found that the longer she stayed the less she wanted to ever go out into rogue lands again. It frightened her, really, how quickly she had settled and had begun to feel as if she were at home.

Home.

That was...a nice word!

With another laugh, she arrived at the tree and peered up into its branches. It truly was a huuuuge tree. "It's something quite special, isn't it, my little race winner?"

She lowered her head to nuzzle against her daughter's cheek. "I bet it has been here for a very long time. Perhaps longer than the lions." She blinked. "Would you like to get a closer look?"

As she was walking, the lioness was pretty sure that she was basically the fastest lioness on the face of the planet. She didn't understand how she was beating the older lioness! The only possible explanation was that she was the fastest lioness on the face of the planet. Wasn't that the explanation? In her little mind that had to be the reasoning. She flicked her hair out of her eyes as she looked at the older lioness and then started to slow down as she reached where they were going and she then flopped down on her haunches in front of her puffing out her chest looking as proud as she possibly could. She was extremely proud of herself.

She grinned ear to ear at her lioness and then she paused as she stared at the lioness before taking another moment to look at the. "Yes, mama." she giggled a little in response to her mother's answer. She then pause and looked toward the tree before purring as her mother nuzzled against her. As she was thinking before she loved one on one time with her mother and she also loved affection from her mother. She got along a lot with her well and she loved any sort of attention. Although if she never got much attention Tai wouldn't mind that much she was never one to ask for the attention on the other hand she didn't mind too much. But the fact that she was allowed to have some attention and she could get the attention that made Tai a very happy cub. "Yes mama!" She giggled a little as she looked at the tree, she could see how it could have possibly been here longer than the lions. That just made everything more exciting to the little cub.

"Okay, up we go!" She caught Taini by the scruff of ehr neck and pushed herself up onto her hind legs, setting her forepaws up against the wide tree trunk. Then, stretching up to the bough of the tree, set the cub on the thick branch before dropping back down to all fours.

With a smile, she took a step back and looked up to admire the little one up in the tree.

"One day you will be too big to climb trees, my little Taini! So make the most of it whilst you can." She glanced around just to make sure the coast was still clear and then turned back. "What can you see from up there? Anything exciting?"

The small lioness turned toward her mother and then smiled at her, she went limp as she felt her mother grabbed her. She was a little surprised but let her mother do it, she was a little excited to be carried by her mother. It was another one of those things that she just loved because it was attention and she enjoyed it. she loved spending time with her mother and she probably always would.

When she was placed on the tree trunk she looked around excitedly. She was happy to be with her mother, and she was happy to be here. She flicked her hair out of her eyes as she looked at the older lioness before turning toward the tree and pulling herself up to go a little higher looking around as she did before her attention toward toward her mother. "Really?" She asked curiously. She was hoping not, this was fun, she didn't want to not be able to climb trees one day because she was too big.

"That's right." The lioness replied. "Then you will be bound to stay on the ground, just as I am." She sighed, wishing that she could be that young again, innocent and happy and unaware of all the corruption in the world. She had not had a normal childhood and so she would ensure that her daughters could, even if they had all suffered loss so early on in their lives.

Their little brothers might be gone but Nissa dearly hoped that one day she might see them again. If only to say sorry that she did not protect them as a mother, should.

"We'll stay here a while and watch the sun come up over there, then we'll head back to wake your sisters." She told her little daughter with a sad smile. "Then we'll travel out together."

A new day was a new beginning. Things might not always be so sad.

Tai quietly listened to her mother, she wouldn't be able to climb one day? She thought it was really upsetting. She didn't like the fact that she one day wouldn't be able to climb, but she was guessing that one daay it was going to have to be something that she was going to have to give up and get used to. As she thought about it though she looked down at her mother and frowned a little. She felt bad that her mother couldn't join her up there. She wiggled a little and then started to make her way down the side of the tree before flopping on her mother's side.

"Sounds fun mama" She said simply nodding at the idea. She liked the idea of watching the sun rising with her mother. And then she was going to be with her sisters. that was a little upsetting to a point but at the same time she didn't mind. She looked at the lioness and then flicked her hair out of her eyes and started to trot quickly toward the lioness and curling up with her. She was going to enjoy the time that she had with her mama. If her mama couldn't have fun with her up in the trees she was going to enjoy cuddling with her mama right where she was.
