It has been many years since Xan'Thran sacrificed his life for his people. The planet had been overrun by Demons, and everything had almost been lost. When, driven by despair at the loss of his wife, Xan'Thran, king and member of the Dragon Trinity, had made one last desperate attempt. Putting all his power, energy, life, and soul, he formed a barrier using his swords as a focus, that banished the demons to their dimension. Unfortunately, from the tremendous energy used, Xan'Thran died in his effort. Too much had gone into the spell. Now, almost two full millenia after, the demons have started to appear again, the barrier is breaking, and the time for the of the kingdoms ancient hero. Will he succeed at restoring the barrier? Or will the demons invade and destroy the home he once died to protect? Only you can decide his fate, choose your side and help to determine the fate of a world!
In this RP, you can choose two sides, that of the demons, trying to stop Xan'Thran's return, or that of the natives, fighting to defend their planet, and wondering where their great hero is who's return has been prophesied for two centuries now.
Even though this rp takes place two thousand years after the original, not much has changed, it is still a medievil fantasy RP, so, no advanced weapons. It is allowed to bring other characters from other planets, and you can make things quite fun by doing so. Profiles will be posted on another thread.

A crack appeared in the air on the cliff overlooking the city, dark and malicious. Slowly it widened and a black gloved hand appeared, slowly, bit by bit someone, or something stepped out into the night air as the rift in space opened, and then closed behind the hooded figure. Sanro smiled, cold, heartless, his eyes blazing with triumph. Finally! After millenia of being trapped in that cursed dimension by that fool king Xan'Thran, he could taste freedom. His smile widened, and he laughed softly, a cold, mirthless sound that caused the nearby trees to draw back as if in fear. "It has finally happened, the seal has weakened, and now, my conquest can begin anew." Sanro said softly to himself, then laughed again, louder this time as he gazed malevolently at the city below.
Xalcorsh stood from where he lay on the grass, he shivered, something felt, wrong. He wasn't sure what, or why, only that something was going horribly wrong and he needed to do something about it. Problem was, he didn't know what, how, or even where this something was. Come to think of it, he didn't even know who he really was, or where. He looked around, his large frame moving slowly and carefully as he examined his surroundings for the danger he sensed, but he couldn't find it around him. He frowned, and looked down at the scabbards of the two swords that lay on the grass near where he had been sleeping, and picked them up. Though it was the middle of the night, he knew he needed to leave, so he grabbed the only things he owned and started moving north, towards a destination he had no idea about, nor even a reason why north other than it felt right.
Xan'Thran Jr. woke up suddenly in the Inn he was staying at and walked to the window. There was something malevolent in the air and he frowned. Could it really be that time already? He paced away from the window, lost in thought. As he thought he turned towards the window and paused, staring at the bent figure that had appeared there and sighed deeply. "Somehow, I knew that you would show Sanroth. . .it's that time, isn't it old friend?"
Sanroth stood calmly near the window and nodded at Xan'thran Jr. "Yes, it is finally that time. . .I merely stopped by to tell you that you should stop your search, and should return to the palace. They will need you on the throne to guide the country through these times. You should know that your father will appear when the time is right, and not before." His voice was soft, and gentle, and he sighed as Xan'Thran Jr. merely nodded. "I am continuing on for now, if you wish to join you can young one, but please, return to the palace, and stop your search for your father." He waited a moment, but when Xan'Thran Jr. didn't he respond, he turned and vanished.
In yet another part of the world, Titus found himself standing in front of the doors to the throne room, long sealed with the death of his mother and father, staring at the ornately carved and gilded doors. He had come here many times in the past, but there was something different this night, as if the magic that could be felt from inside that room had some how diminished slightly. He frowned, unsure if his senses were correct. There was something else though, there seemed to be a sense of evil in the air tonight, and he feared that it was coming to that time that had been prophesied. He turned at the sound of footsteps, and nodded to his youngest brother, Xilp, as he came and stood next to him, the hilts of his swords rising above his shoulders. "A forbidding night tonight, isn't it Xilp, especially if it makes you walk armed within the palace itself."
Xilp stopped next to his brother, and looked up at the twin dragons above crossed swords that was embossed on the massive doors. "That it is brother. . .do you think Xan was successful in his search?" He glanced at Titus, who merely shook his head and then sighed. "I hope he at least comes home soon. . .and I hope for our sake, that the prophecies are true, and that father will return. I want to meet him, and see if I'm as good with my swords as he once was with his." He paused, and the two of them stood, staring at the doors in silence, each lost in their own thoughts.

Helki had curled up for the night in a open clearing so that when the moon shone bright in the sky she could absorb its gentle light. But a disturbance had stirred her from her sleep and she opened her pinkish eyes, her pupils dilated greatly in the low lighting. Her great ears pivoted upon her head as she took in a breath, scenting the night air. Her long feathered saurian tail twitched and she ruffled the feathers of her four wings. She let off a low rumble of infrasound and moved her head, her crystalline antlers catching the moonlight.

A tall man, stooped with age stepped into the clearing, leaning on his staff he contemplated the creature before him. "A strange creature, I wonder from where you come young one." He said softly, before sitting on the ground, not wanting to startle her or seem threatening. "A little lost I take it?" he asked her calmly, laying his staff across his knees and continuing to watch her calmly.

She rumbled low in her throat, the sound turning into an odd clicking and puffing out a breath at him. She nodded her head and then stretched out her front legs and yawned widely.

He said, watching her examining her horns. "Though it might be easier if we spoke the same language," he said, mostly to himself as if debating on something, or at least on how to do it.

However, the question is not where are you, but where do you want go?" He watched her eyes, still calm, and undisturbed by her strange appearance. "You are a beautiful creature, and seem to be very young indeed. I'm afraid this world may not be safe for too long. So, where do you wish to go? Home? Somewhere safe? Do you seek something specific perhaps and have been sent here to find it? I doubt that last one, but you never know these days." He folded his hands in front of him and looked up at the stars for a moment as he waited for her reply.

She tilted her head to the other side and twitched her ears. She seemed to be thinking on the answer. Instead she seemed more confused than ever. Helki looked at the ground. 'I don't know. Maybe I appeared here for a reason?' She murmured softly to the old man. 'Is it possible...that I'm here to do something?' She was young but had already learned much.

Heavenly Snow She tilted her head to the other side and twitched her ears. "A good question for one as young as you, and one I cannot answer for myself. I will send you in the direction of a person who may need your help, it will be up to you. I will warn you however, be very cautious in how you approach him, he is confused and may easily feel threatened. He also, does not know who he is, or where he is, or why. You at least know who and what you are, and perhaps you can help him learn that for himself." He stood, planting the end of his staff on the ground and using it to help himself up, then leaning on the staff he walked calmly over to her. He stopped next to her, and touched the staff to the ground, where an illusion appeared, looking like a miniature map of the forest they were in. "You are here, and he is considerably north, about here." He pointed to the two locations with his staff, then looked at her. "It's quite a bit of terrain to cover, and I do not know how fast you can travel, but I would estimate it is some 35 leagues to where he is now, and he is moving due north. If you do not feel that is where you should go, there is a castle here," he pointed to another spot on the map, this time north and west, but considerably further. "It is about 200 leagues from here, and they may be able to help you there. That is the best that I can do for you, young one, make your choice and see what fate has planned for you, if anything at all." He bowed then, and as he straightened, smiled, and vanished, though the map lingered with marks on it of where he had touched, though it too would vanish in the next hour or so.

She blinked and stared at the place where the man had vanished. She snorted and then looked down at the map. Tilting her head left and then right she studied its contents. So, the castle or to go after this potentially dangerous man. Helki's ears laid back and she stuck out her lower lip. Shaking her head, Helki rose to her feet and stretched and shook herself off.
Suddenly she took off. She shot across the clearing and into the surrounding forest. With her agility and speed she ate up the distance, between her and the man.

Xalcorsh was moving steadily north at an easy run, covering distance quite quickly due to his long legs. He didn't feel tired, and he knew instinctively that, if needed, he could keep this pace up without stopping for two full days. His soft leather boots hit the ground almost soundlessly, and he left little to no tracks despite his heavy frame and large size. He had slung one of his swords across his back, the sword being nearly as long as he was tall, and the other, a little more than half that length, was at his waist with one hand on it to keep it from tangling in his legs as he ran. Since he had started running earlier that night, he had covered almost 3 leagues, but he didn't really know where he was going, only that he should go north, and as he traveled, he pondered. Just who was he? where was he? and why didn't he have any memories of being anywhere before he had woken up tonight? The question burned and frustrated him, but try as he might, the voids in his mind remained as such, empty, black, vast voids where no memory resided, only instinct.

Helki's long legs and well equipped feet helped propel her forward. She knew that if her energy fails her that she could always tap into the energy she had absorbed. She hadn't yet broken a sweat nor was she panting. The distance shrank as she sped over the land, obstacles being easily dodged or leaped over. After a time the scent of the man picked up. It was unmistakeable. She maneuvered her course to follow his, her speed picking up, hoping she was getting closer. The soft pads of her feet kept her movements quieted and the wind was in her favor tho she wasn't sure if sneaking up would be a bad idea...

The soft pads of her feet kept her movements quieted and the wind was in her favor tho she wasn't sure if sneaking up would be a bad idea... Xalcorsh's scent was strange to her sensitive nose. There was the unmistakable scent of human there, and something else, something far more dangerous, and much larger. It was that of a dragon, if she was familiar with their scent, and it seemed somehow attached, or mingled with his. While Xalcorsh was fast for a human, he couldn't compete with her speed, and it wouldn't be long before she would be able to see him. He was tall, easily taller than her in her beast form, and powerfully built with broad shoulders and heavily muscled arms and legs. Clearly he was a fighter, and the familiarity that he had with the weapons he carried stated quite loudly that he was very adept at using them. His hair was long, reaching the bottom of his shoulder blades, and tied in a loose pony tail to keep it out of his face, and a rich black color. Depending on how well she could see in the dark, he would have rough features, with a strong jaw, slightly slanted eyes and broad forehead that were strangely handsome for a human. His clothing consisted of a wool shirt and trousers, calf high sot leather boots, a leather band around his forehead, and a leather vest.

Helki suddenly spotted a figure up ahead. She slowed a fraction so as to not run him over. Her legs gave a nice loping stride now. She called out a trumpet greeting, giving him enough warning of her close presence. She snorted and started to keep pace with this large humanoid male. Her nostrils flared as she took in his scent and realized it was touched by dragon. But the way it was on him indicated it wasn't a beast outside of him. She gave a light roar and came up beside him at least several feet away. She could now see he was taller but she had more body mass. At least as a sidron, which is the form she took. She tossed her head and playfully trotted like the young animal she was, letting off another trumpet.
