Okay guys, I've decided on openings for our new crew.
Now, the requirements for crew members are as follows:
- Must be an active member.
- Must check in appropriately.
- Must be dedicated to the position they choose.
Here are the available positions:
- Moderator, 2, Crew
- Planner, 2, Crew
-Human Resources, 1, Crew
- Assistant, 1, Vice Captain
All the positions may not be filled now, since I'm doing most of the work, but slowly, the crew members will have much to do. There is no pay at the moment until I can gather the funds, but if you are loyal to your guild and your duties, payment will be issued. Here is a run down of the things expected from each crew member position:
- Moderator: These crew members will be assigned a particular sub-forum to watch over. Duties will include watching for active role plays, recruiting, and making sure the members playing in your sub-forum are following Gaiaonline TOS. If a moderator finds that a particular role play in their sub-forum isn't being active for a certain amount of time, or that a role play hasn't opened yet, they will be in charge of notifying the role play owner that their role play is in danger of being removed. After a moderator notifies a member of their inactive role play, they will then notify a member of Human Resources of the situation. Moderators are often seen as the quickest solution to a problem in their sub-forum, before climbing up the chain of command. It is very important that moderators check in on their sub-forum as often as possible, and preferrably, be active in said sub-forum. (The number of moderators is currently set to two. As traffic picks up, more moderators will be needed. Eventually, there will be only one moderator per sub-forum.) While there is not current payment for this position, contest will be held frequently between the moderators. "And I'd like to thank all the little people I had to step on to get here."
- Planner: Event and holiday planners work as needed. These crew members are in charge of planning and organizing special events, holidays and give-aways. Because of our low funds, planners must be willing to help in anyway they can, and even help organize fundraisers as well. Planners will set up events in the Holiday Inn sub-forum and will be in charge of cleaning out threads within said sub-forum. They will be required to submit a request of funds to the Guild Assistant for anything that they will need. (The number of planners is currently set to two. The maximum alloted positions available will be four.) There is no set payment for this position, but if fundrasers and events are a success, Planners will be rewarded for their good work. "To the vitcor go the spoils."
- Human Resources: A member of Human Resources, or, HR, will be a very administrative person. Firstly, a member of Human Resources handles all violations of TOS or unfriendliness amoungst the members brought forward by the Moderators. Members of Human Resources will handle the disputes and violations between members (as well as crew members) when the Moderators need assistance. Along with these duities, members of Human Resources are required, (on the 1st of every month) to send private messages to guild members who have been inactive for over twenty days. On the 15th of the month, Human Resource members send a follow up private message to those inactive members warning them of possible termination from the guild. They will handle any special cases for inactive members and urge them to post their unavailibility in the Hello-Goodbye thread in the Main Forum. On the 27th of every month, Human Resources will compile a list of inactive members (after their second warning) and send it to the Guild Assistant. (The number of human resource members is currently set at two. As the guild grows, more positions may be added, though this is not a promise.) Those who wish to apply for this position must be punctual and willing to set aside their time to make their deadlines. While there is no set payment at this time, a monthly salary will be worked on soon.
- Assistant: The Guild Assistant is in direct contact with the Captain. The Assistant will be in charge of keeping tabs on the crew members. They are also promoted to Vice Captain, and have the ability to take charge of a situation incase the Captain is not present. They are in contact with the Planners and Human Resources to answer their questions and relay messages to the Captain on action that needs to be taken for the construction of the guild. Sometimes, the Assistant will be given tasks to delegate to the crew members, or be asked to write up the guild announcements or to interact in the Main Forum. (The number of assistants is set to one. This number is not likely to change.) The Assistant must be active and willing to take on any task. They may also be sent random messages from the Captain to remind said person to do something. Example: "Dude, don't forget to remind me to check HR for that list of inactive members by Tuesday." While there is no set payment for this position, a possible monthly salary will be discussed once the member as proven their worthiness.
*If you'd like to apply, simply shoot me a PM and we'll discuss it. I'll be hiring here in the guild first before expanding hiring outside of the guild.*
