It was a long shot and even something she was not 100% certain of. It was something even she wished they did not need to do. Though if there was one thing she was learning from this war, in order to get a upper hand there was sometimes things one needed to do that they did not want to.
Her paws felt like lead, her head hung low, and her pelt rippled with both anticipation and even a hint of fear. She was out to specifically look for one feline, one that she honestly did not think she would seek out so soon again. A flash of memory as his tiger striped fur came to mind, his mouth as sharp as his claws.
Chloe gave a huge sigh at the task ahead, she only hoped he had similar stomping grounds. The goal here was to attract only the feline, and pray he was not with another negaverser, so they could talk.
Leaping up on to the stone wall that surrounded the park, she crouched down and waited. Not a word was uttered, or even a body movement. Her tail wrapped around her body, only eyes would show she was not just a simple statue.

Hiro was, unfortunately, a creature of habit. When he wasn't tucked into the side of Alkaid or Tanzanite, he 'patrolled' the same area - if only because it was where his favourite senshi and officers tended to work. Hiro was hoping for either Painite in the park or Alunite in an alleyway (with a lead pipe, his mind helpfully quipped), but he'd take just about anyone, really. Yelling at the newbies was always fun, the kids still so weirded out by talking cats. Hiro chuckled to himself.
Trotted up to the entrance of the park, Hiro eyed the stone wall. He could easily jump the wall that ran the length of it, but, really, why bother when he could walk through the open gate like a human? Anyone he saw him would just think he was a stray cat chasing pigeons (ew, really? ew, they were diseased or something, Hiro was sure) or looking for a safe place to spend the night.
He wasn't the only cat making his way in or out of the park. More importantly, he wasn't the only Mauvian.
The problem with their natural energy-dampening was that it was almost impossible to sense each other unless you were right on top of each other. Hiro paused at the park entrance, one paw still raised in the air. Slowly he head turned to one side, teal eye narrowing at the cat sitting atop the wall. His tail lashed, once, twice, before he forced it to be still.
He extended his senses. No senshi in the area. So Chloe wasn't the bait in a senshi trap, Hiro was tentatively sure. Which didn't mean there wouldn't be a fight - she'd handled herself rather well in their last spat for all that she looked like a pampered housecat.
"If you're looking for Ammolite," Hiro took great pleasure in using Lyra's new name in front of Chloe, despite how much it personally rankled Hiro (senshi should not have to try and pretend to be regular Negaverse officers), "I'm afraid tonight isn't one of our training nights."
It was always nice to wave Lyra - Ammolite - in front of her former Mauvian. She was Hiro's now, and Hiro did love to hoard what was his (which was everything he chose it to be, really). Of course, last time Hiro had flaunted Lyra/Ammolite, things had taken a turn for the sharp and claw-y. Muscles bunched, Hiro lowering his chest slightly in case Chloe decided on a dive attack from above.

Hiros gaze would not be unmet as Chloe too had felt the pull of his aura as he passed by. Her tail flashed out some as he had startled her with his random appearance, but it was not like she was entirely not expecting it. Little to his knowledge, yet, that he was her target.
Pushing herself into a sitting position, she semi gargoilishly loomed over the feline below, choosing not to leap down just yet. Chloe could not deny she was relieved when all she felt was the other Mauvians aura, he had come here alone. No need to be cautious with words, she honestly did not wish for even a senshi to over hear this conversation tonight.
Still looming, she kept her gaze on Hiro not wanting to chance him slipping by her and attacking. He was a formidable opponent. "Her. Name. Is. Lyra." She hissed out, feeling her claws extend and contract as she kneaded the stone beneath her.
Keeping a similar hushed tone, with a hint of malice from before and yet some urgency as well, she spoke to him. "I actually came here to talk to YOU, Hiro." No she would not even grant him the pleasure of calling him a horrible nickname, it was too serious of a time for that.
"I have a proposition for you." Suddenly it dawned on her, it felt almost as if she was making a deal with a demon...

Hit and score, Hiro thought as Chloe bristled and insisted on Lyra's senshi name. He fought against the chuckle rising in his throat - he didn't want a twenty-clawed death from above if he could avoid it.
One ear swivelled backwards. A proposition...? Well, at least it wasn't a fight she was looking for. Not yet, anyway.
Hiro let himself relax slightly (but not too much, because for all the White Moon called themselves 'good' they were just as capable of lies and trickery as the Negaverse). He sat, staring up at the Siamese Mauvian. If nothing else, this ought to be entertaining. He'd hear her out for that reason alone.
"Proposition?" he repeated sceptically. "If this is like Dahlia's offer, then while you have very fine taste, no thank you. That's not my idea of a recreational pasttime."

Her own version of a low rumble started in her chest, and barely made it out of her mouth as she cut it off with a snap. Chloe HAD been just about to ask who dahlia was, but no matter. "Who you shove your...attentions at, or not, is no matter of mine." The feline did a rather human like gesture, and rolled her eyes at the Mauvian below.
"However, i would like to keep your attention with a open mind." She all but glared down, tail flicking furiously in irritation. If there was one emotion Chloe understood, it was anger and even frustration.
Closing her eyes, and breathed in deeply and collected her thoughts as she words carefully. "Our fellow Mauvians have been making a...machine." Now she just sounded stupid. "Ok, look. We have built a machine that we want to test out, but we have not got the energy to do so. We believe all of the Mauvians got together —yes even you— we might have enough power to at least test the machine. What is the purpose of the contraption? To bring us back and forth from Mau."

Chloe wasn't the only one rolling her eyes (well, eye). Open mind, whatever. (Open ears, for information? Sure.) Machine. Oh god, they tried to build something. Had it run amok? Rampaging in downtown Destiny City, news at 11? Really, the White Moon cats were having delusions of grandeur if they thought-
"- to bring us back and forth from Mau."
Hiro was instant attention. Well. Someone certainly was having delusions of grandeur - but even grander than Hiro had expected. Still, that was the magic word. Mau. Something warm and painful unfurled in his chest, a stronger tug than even the visit to the Outpost had caused.
Home. He couldn't remember it. Had no idea what it would be like. But he wanted so badly to go there.
And the White Moon cats would have been and gone without him, if they'd had their way. He glared at Chloe. It was obvious that the only reason he was here was because they'd already tried and failed. They certainly weren't sharing out of any idea of brother- or sisterhood.
So he felt a little justified in letting his tail curl lazily in the air as he purred, "So did it blow up in your face or was it just a big non-event?"
He was hoping explosion, really. Serve them right. But for all his taunting, Hiro wasn't walking away. He waited to see what Chloe really wanted.

True, the white moon cats had not thought originally about bringing their negaverse brethren with them... but did you blame them? How was she to know that the negaverse had not wiped their Mauvian pride away, brainwashed them as thoroughly as they had her Lyra. This was more of a test than anything else to see if they were interested.
Though his attitude was so not helping.
Sneering back, she lowered her eyelids in a glare. "No. We have not tested it yet, for your information, because i would rather we not lose Mauvians in the process when from crunching numbers we knew we did not have enough power. There are few enough of our race as it is, Hiro, without using ourselves as lab rats. Together more Mauvians can perfect the device, and i am certain we would all reap the rewards. Which is all of us learning our heritage..." Which, she added silently, would benefit both sides of the war. Though she, being a white moon cat, hoped it would help her side more.
".....So i am recommending a cease fire between Mauvians, so we can work on this... if you are interested in going to Mau, that is." Her last words were said with a soft mocking purr, more a question than a statement.

For Chloe, Hiro wouldn't lift a paw. But for Mau? Oh yes, Hiro would play along for Mau.
... Well, there were some people he had to run things by first. But he was willing to actually do that instead of turning Chloe down flat. Hiro wasn't sure what they could bring to the table numbers-wise. Himself, and he thought Dahlia would come along for the ride. Whether they could locate fur or tail of the early, long-missing Negacats? Unknown. Still, even just two extra might make a difference to this 'crunching numbers' that Chloe spoke of.
Hiro tilted his head to one side, tail resuming tracing lazy loops in the air. "I'll forward your proposal on," he said. "That's the best I can do for now."
Chances were that Tanzanite would be all for it. But if she said no, well... then he'd have to decide if sneaking was worth it (Mau was, but he'd have to sneak so well that there was no chance Tanz would find out, otherwise he would be just a tiny toyger-skin rug in the General-Queen's throne room).
"Meet me here tomorrow night," he said. "I'll have an answer for you."
And for once, he wasn't even thinking of laying a trap.
