Passionate, Evangelical, and bizarre. I dress strangely, keep many strange masks and other occult items around me, and I make a habit of trying to convert all those who serve my purposes. The idea of giving up does not apply to me, and those who try to stop me will only point themselves out as creatures of evil. And evil cannot be allowed to prosper. He tends to be rather calm and collected when he's not going off on a sermon. He spends a great deal of time philosophizing, which may make him seem like he has multiple personalities. In reality, he just tends to show one side or the other, depending on what the situation calls for.

Sometimes you know your family's past. Sometimes you don't. Sometimes, you know it, but don't believe it. Mahdi fits into that last group.
In the family, some things were whispered about the past. Every so often, Mahdi heard things from some members of his family that disturbed him. More often, he found records of members of the family that had been involved in the "occult" and other strange thing. They involved rituals, ceremonies, and references to ancient gods.
His family could be traced back to Egypt, back when they worshiped many gods. At that time they had worn many masks and worshiped many gods. Mahdi had managed to get a hold of documents and other things that had been used by the family. In secret, he began to perform the magic rituals that had been outlined in the texts.
Through this process, he reconnected the past and the present. He managed to contact the gods themselves, igniting the spark in his soul to perform the magic of his ancestors.
Of course, an enrollment in the academy was the obvious next step. He couldn't be around normal people until his beliefs waned again. Sadly, they haven't even though the gods that extended their voice to him have been silent since that first encounter.
His family, for better or worse, is not at all happy that he's delving deeper into his family's past. To most of them this is a checkered subject, meant only to show the folly of those that came before. In their eyes, it would be better to send him into an insane asylum than let him out to cause a stir with his old beliefs.

Rituals and relics are my tools. Through complex rituals, I can infuse various items, with magical powers depending on which god or goddess he invokes. Of course, most of the blessings require sacrifices, and many more require certain boons to be met before they can work.

Please expand on his personality. What is he like when he's happy, sad, angry? What does he act like when someone challenges his morals and/or faith? How bizarre is he, and what do you mean by it? Surely three adjectives can't describe his entire person!
History: If you can, could you tell me more about his home life? You talk about things that happened in the past, and where his family came from, but what about his family now? Why was coming to Fuyu "the obvious next step"? Pretend the reader is just a liiiittle bit dense, and needs an explanation! C:
And finally, if you could find an image to fit Mahdi, you'll be all set.

Forgive me for my poor profile skills, I usually leave profiles as bear bones since few people read them, and because I prefer to see how a character will do in RP rather than try to explain him/her before I've gotten a feel for how a character can react to things. Still, I think I've changed it to your specifications.
