The grub in the cafeteria was rather literal today. Nahm debated briefly between fried grubs, baked grubs, and pickled grubs, then decided on all of them. For once, a selection that wasn't a choice between nasty and nastier - how nice! He filled his plate, swiped a bag of blood out of the section generally frequented by vampires, and scanned the cafeteria for familiar faces while he waited in line to pay.
There was one - a familiar topknot, at least. Junko's boilfriend, Seiji. Extra bonus; he'd been intending to talk to him anyway. Nahm suspected that Seiji had gotten the wrong idea about Nahm's friendship with Junko. Not really surprising, considering; but Nahm genuinely liked Junko, and it'd make hanging out with her more difficult if Seiji thought he was trying to snipe. Nahm handed his pumpkin seeds to the bloblike cashier and headed over towards the table at which Seiji sat.
He plopped his tray down next to the other boil and sat down without waiting for an invitation. "Hey," he greeted Seiji, giving him a friendly grin.

Seiji hadn't even bothered to look at the what exactly the lunch ladies were ladling onto his tray. Frankly it didn't matter to him, he could, and would, eat anything set before him, and considering his race, flavor didn't really have a whole lot of merit on his meals. Oh sure, he enjoyed more pleasant tasting things, but his range of favorable tastes was a lot more broad then his fellow students.
At least most of them. Nahm and his twin, grues, probably had the most diverse pallet amongst the student body.
There was a speared grub halfway to Seiji's mouth as the robe clad boil sat down beside him, and it made him pause, dark brows arching, before he finished his bite and returned the greeting. "Hey." His voice was pleasant enough, so far. He wasn't entirely sure what he thought of the other boil just yet, considering his only real interaction with him had been when he'd been acting rather friendly towards Junko. Considering his somewhat jealous nature, Seiji was doing a rather admirable job of being friendly.
He'd reserve judgement until he knew what exactly was going on.

Nahm grinned sideways at Seiji. "Y'don't like me much, I bet," he said. "Suppose I don't blame you. Just gotta let you know. She already told me she got you and she's not interested in me. I'm not looking for a fight." He popped a few grubs into his mouth, hummed a little. "Hey, the fried ones are really good today. I'm just a friendly kind of boil, that's all."

Gray lips pressed into a thin line, but the ghost was quick to cover the expression with a smile. Albeit a slightly forced one. "I wouldn't say that, I'm trying not to form any real opinion about you yet, in all honesty." That was the truth, blunt as it might have been. He poked a bit at one of the grubs crawling it's way across his tray as he listened to the grue explain things, and a knot of tension loosened in his shoulders. "Is that so?" Friendly? Seiji supposed he gave off that sort of vibe.
Jealousy was something the ghost was working on dealing with, and for the most part he was doing a good job of it. It helped though to hear Nahm's reassurances that he wasn't going to be trying to go after his ghoul.

"Hey, I appreciate that. Very fair of you," Nahm said. He grinned brightly at the ghost boil. Blunt didn't offend him. As a matter of fact, very few things offended him; the rare exception to the rule generally passed unnoticed by the offender, too. It was much easier to get revenge when your target had no idea they were being stalked.
"Mhm," he agreed, and just to make the point, he flopped loosely over sideways to put his head on Seiji's shoulder and smile at him; the quick flicker of his eyeglows suggested he was fluttering his eyelashes melodramatically. "I just got no personal space at all. Especially when you're hot. Oh, wait; I should have said they're, right?"

Seiji bobbed his head in an acknowledging nod, shoulders rolling up and back in a shrug. Least he could do for a friend of Junko's was give them a fair chance before jumping to any hasty assumptions. Besides, it certainly couldn't hurt to have a few more friends around campus. He wasn't an unfriendly boil in any way, but he did have a bit of a habit of sticking to those he already knew. It made it hard to branch out some times.
Dark brows first rose, then drew together over the bridge of Seiji's nose as the other boil moved to rest his head against his shoulder. It wasn't the first time another individual of the male persuasion had used him as a pillow, nor would it probably be the last, but it was the first time he'd been hit on at the same time. Hell, it was probably the first time he'd been hit on by a boil, period.
He wasn't entirely sure what to make of it. In fact, he wasn't even entirely sure Nahm had in fact been hitting on him, but it had certainly seemed that way. It took a moment for the ghost to form an actual response to the grue's insinuating(seeming) question, but he finally managed. "Depends on who you're talking about, I suppose." If Nahm cared to notice, Seiji's posture had gone quite rigid, but so far he was doing a decent job of not over reacting to what he was only assuming was happening... What ever that might have been..
He was a little out of his depth.

Nahm chuckled easily and straightened up again, resisting the powerful temptation to get closer and make the other boil really twitchy. At any other time, he might have done it, but his goal here was to show Seiji he wasn't a threat, and freaking the boil out would be counterproductive. "Attractive boils and ghouls," he purred. "Lucky for me, there's a whole lotta those around here." He rested his chin on his hand and speared a forkful of grubs to nibble on. He added, "I only really bother the ones who wanna be bothered, and I don't go for the ones who got someone. That's just disgusting." Beejoux orz. Also, Nahm's version of "disgusting," lolz.
