Mubina had wandered for days with only one thing on her mind. The sight of her possible mate with another cheetah. It was forever burned into her memories. She had barely eaten in the time after. Her body was unusually thin. The scarce meals she did have were those that she managed to somehow steal, though the pieces were always very small. She didn't have it in her to hunt. Her heart was broken. The world looked so bleak and gray.

She collapsed next to a particularly big rock formation within the tall, dry grass of whatever land she now lay in. The sun overhead burned her eyes as she stared at it so she slowly closed it. It seemed like all the hope for happiness had been drained out of Mubina. A single tear spilled from one eye into her fur. That tear seemed to be the gatekeeper to the flood of tears she held inside of her. She was soon sobbing into the ground, her body wracked with the pain of heartache. A horrible cry of pain came from her before she quieted down. Mubina just lay there. There was no energy in her to do anything more.
