Fav. Food: Scallops and green olives...as a cat and as a human. But, as a cat, scallops most certainly win.

Urban Exploration - When he's left to himself, Abel will often find himself perusing the same books over and over again. Pacing the same length of Pasha's room, re-examining a situation till he fools himself into thinking he's found new information. As such, he's taken to alleviating the pressure by long walks on the beach. I mean, around town. Abandoned buildings, any sort of alley-- you name it, and he wants to stick his nose in it. (Except a dumpster, those are given free passes.)
He knows well enough to stay away from highly populated areas, considering he is a cat in a cravat, but he finds no harm in exploring close to home. It maybe provides him with a little bit of a rush, as well-- but for safety's sake, he does try to get back to his home base before dark falls.
Working - Sadly, he likes it quite enough that it's become a hobby. Abel's prime activity is trying to research more about the Negaverse, even though he may not always be the most vocal about it. Any information he finds worthwhile will be brought up to the senshi, however, much of what he sees is casual observation rather than any sort of drawn conclusion, and he hates acting without proper causation. A lot is keeping out during the day, keeping up on the information feeds for what the happenings are in town-- he flits between news reports running on the telly, checking Twitter and the blogosphere, and plain old eavesdropping.
Abel records everything in painstaking detail. His memory is far from perfect, so he's got access to Pasha's computer to record everything he learns. Not everything is correct, and 99% of it is hearsay combined with Senshi reports, but he works diligently to connect attacks to Negas. His success, however...has been limited. He's yet to connect anyone to anything, actually, but he remains vigilant in his records, hoping that some day he'll be able to find an answer.
Cooking - Ever patient and bookish, Abel combines the two to recreate works of art-- well, I mean food, when he can find time in his human form. He can't cook a unique thing to save his live, nor can he slapdash throw something together. But, if given a recipe, he can follow it to a T. Sometimes it ends well, and sometimes despite it all, it doesn't. Mostly, he prefers to bake pastries, and that sort of thing.
Unfortunately, in his cat form, he can't really deal much with a mixer...but he'd be damned if he doesn't try to con Pasha or anyone with opposable thumbs into helping him. Danishes for all.
Trolling the Web - Abel has always considered himself to have a relatively well rounded mind, but ever since Pasha has shown him Wikipedia he has been able to read without actually having to peruse the library or book stores for tomes that interest him. In general, if there is something that piques his interest-- generally the sciences and current politics, he will do his best to studiously look them up. It's less keeping up with the Jones' and more self improvement that he strives to have.
And sometimes, if he wants to look at cute cat videos, then he will look at CUTE CAT VIDEOS.

Virtues:
Steadfast - Abel stands by his ideals with a firm grounding of logic. He is true to his faction, even in its darker moments. Abel has come to the logical conclusion that he is doing the right thing in this war. So as long as most of the senshis are playing nice and fighting the Negaverse, he is happy as a clam.
Due to his faith in the cause, Abel will carry out the necessary tasks as exacted by his leaders. So if that means going outside of his comfort range to recruit, or pushing himself to exhaustion to search out information, he bucks the ******** up and does exactly that. To stray from work, this also means that Abel will follow his friends into dark, unpleasant situations...be it a cocktail party or a battle worthy of lore.
On the whole, this results in Abel being a steady, loyal, and trustworthy friend...albeit a prickly one. He will listen to the bitching, the moaning and the crying and not bat an eye, as long as the concerns brought to him are legitimate. He takes no pleasure in being cruel, even if he can cut a little close with jabs when irritated or irate.
Sentimental - Despite the fact that Abel is quite literally the best definition of a sourpuss, he's got a softer underbelly than he cares to admit. He is a complete prickly pear on the outside, but if something manages to penetrate the air of indifference, it is quite likely that Abel will get attached to that. He has taken up the company of lonely street kittens, wandering students (in Pasha's case) and even things as simple as a bed of wildflowers.
He remembers birthdays, anniversaries, major events and grievances. He will remember that last week you said you felt ill, and will inquire about your health. It may be followed by "I am pleased to hear your strength has returned; we are in need of it," rather than something more soft, but the sentiment remains.
Of course. Should anyone realize, he'd deny it. Should anyone accuse him of it, the denial would become rather vehement.
Observant - Looking at the world is what Abel does best. Sitting back, avoiding interactions in order to watch everyone else's, as well as the little details of the world. Much of his knowledge comes keen observation from body language, a sharp eye, and general acquired knowledge to fuel basic inductive logic. It doesn't make him Sherlock Holmes by any means, but he does his best to gather what the bigger picture is. Again, he isn't always successful, but as a cat...he DOES get a free pass to stare at the smallest of things for unusual amounts of time.
Flaws:
Crabby - Abel is far from a pleasant cat. He's irritable, anti-social, a bit rude and kind of high and mighty, to be quite honest with you. He's got no patience for stupid people, even though he's not the most intelligent (even though he tries to pretend that he is) and is quick to accuse and slow to forgive and admit to wrongdoing. His heart may be in the right place, but he's a prickly old cat, and will sulk and sulk and sulk...as cats are sometimes prone to do. While most of it is a defense mechanism to hide his tender side, and none of it really all comes out at once, it doesn't excuse his behavior. Abel comes off as on edge and an old coot. Once people have earned his trust and loyalty, he gets a little kinder, but he still isn't soft all the time, even to his keeper.
Anti-Social - Some cats are social, but Abel isn't one of them. When given the choice to watch an interaction to gain information or talk to them directly, he'd much rather observe, 9 times out of 10. Social outings exhaust him, especially when there's a large number of people around him-- Small encounters can be enjoyable as he's not a complete hermit, but anything like team or faction meetings are notorious for making him want to withdraw.
However, his drive to work makes being alone (either at home on the computer or out in town) nigh impossible. Despite the fact that he doesn't enjoy being a part of the hustle and bustle of the senshi, he realizes his dislike isn't useful for being helpful. It ends with Abel being haggard from the constant talking and glaring and wrapping himself in barbs until he can get home. He never lets himself indulge in the joy of his sometimes lonely habits until he's run down to exhaustion.
Possessive - There is little in this world that Abel can call his own. The cloak on his shoulder when he's half human, the cravat around his neck when he's not. The computer he uses that Pasha has been kind enough to share. A few trinkets and knick nacks collected around Destiny City. Pyxis as his Senshi. Very little substance holds him here, and if he weren't so inextricably twined into the town then Abel sometimes feels like he'd blow away in the wind.
As such, despite all logic and judgement, he is possessive, especially over his few close friends. Any cats around Pasha get a hiss and a glare as he walks between his legs, and if anyone dares to touch his cravat, then they should kiss their fingers goodbye. It pains him when Pasha has people over, sometimes, as it encroaches on the territory he calls home. While he can redirect his anger by working or going for a walk, it sits in his belly and burns there like a flame until the offending people are gone, and he can reclaim his area on his own.
It's irrational, and while some of it can be attributed to crabby -- when Abel doesn't curb it, it can get pretty nasty, pretty quick. An area to work on, to be certain.
Challenge: Pay attention.
