[ *this RP occurs after Day One; posting them simultaneously to avoid long time gaps ]
His second day at Amityville High, and Gale was beginning to wonder if he would ever get any sort of decent information from the creatures.
Accidentally he had passed by a group of giggling girls and his mind had gone directly to the creatures he and his team had fought in that room; a hard sort of irritation had flowed through his veins momentarily, but after a few deep breaths it had dissipated, Gale merely moving past them quietly.
He did not seek revenge, of course, but he wasn't sure he would object if it was handed to him.
Except this mission was not about redemption, revenge, or any sort of behavior revolving around fighting - especially since Caelius would most likely cut off his head should Gale return and told him that.
Find out what happened. What are they saying here? What do they believe happened? Be on the lookout for any sort of suspicious behavior from the creatures and their teachers. That was his job, and he was going to do it well.
Walking past what someone had told him was the ghost dorms, Gale hesitated for a moment, then decisively pushed inside the gloomy looking building. He was not sure why he'd come in, but perhaps there were some creatures willing to "talk."
And, sitting on the couch in what might have been the common room, was a familiar black skinned boy with black ears.
He was in that tent. A caged creature.
<< Go talk to him. See if he knows anything more. >>
Thrusting his hands into his pockets, Gale made his way over to the creature.
"Hey," he said casually. "These are the, er, ghost dorms, right?

Tybalt sat slumped on the couch, plucking at a loose thread to occupy his time. Since well, he had nothing else to do.
The past few days had been nothing but complete crap. Ever since they had all returned from that supposed field trip, he had heard nothing but the rumors and the lies revolving around the whole set of events that had happened a couple of days go.
All of which had put the black dog in one irritable mood.
He couldn't speak out against any of these ridiculous lies. He wasn't permitted to. Not with school grounds crawling with boogeyman and the threat of being expelled looming over their heads if they did speak out against it. It sucked, but he wasn't going to risk it. Not yet. Not if it meant losing his chance to encounter these hunters again.
But the fact was, Red had died. All this crap about her retirement was nothing more than a story. A story to deny everyone, who wasn't involved, the truth. To keep them from asking questions. Or better yet, to keep them silent. It was a cover up.
Growling, due to suppressed rage, he raised his head at the sound of the others approach.
It was another canine boil... who, little did he know, was a hunter in disguise. In fact, not just any hunter. He was one of the many hunters present, back when he had been caged in that tent.
If only he knew.
"Yep, it is." He answered; confirming the boys question and yanking the thread right off the couch. "Though... who, or what are you supposed to be?" He asked in return.
It was a question of curiosity. But to one undercover, it might have felt just a little more like suspicion.
"You don't look like a ghost... You get lost or something?"
Snot's were always getting lost. He himself had gotten lost quite often during his first year.

Details, Jin.
<< He's a ghost, obviously. The ghost of a dog, by the looks of it. He was in the cage with the others - the gryphon, and the little puppy who was throwing shoes, and snake demon. From what I remember, he's got a temper on him - and a mouth. Be wary. >>
Got it. Thanks.
"Ah," said Gale, giving a sheepish laugh, reaching a hand up to rub at the back of his neck. "I was, er...looking for someone, but I got turned around and wound up here. New, I'm afraid," he added, gesturing rather uselessly to himself.
"And I'm an inugami," he added, tail flicking behind him as he leaned his forearms on the headrests of one of the chairs and linking his fingers together. One of his ears flicked towards the black creature, then pointed upwards.
<< Find an excuse to stay. Don't let the conversation falter, or he'll get suspicious. Maybe not "hey this guy is a hunter" suspicious, since if people aren't expecting a hunter when they look at someone, they won't see it. But if you're not careful he'll think you're some sort of creeper. >>
Right. Got it.
"Sorry, I didn't catch your name?" Gale said, and strode forward, holding out his hand to the other. "I'm Gallant; I'm new here, as I said. Just my second day."

Yep. Newbie.
"Hmm... figured you were a dog of some sort." He pointed to his own ears, showing the other what he meant. Though thankfully, he managed to bite back on any 'thank you, Captain Obvious' comments.
Gallant's scent though... It was kind of weird. There was definitely that distinct canine scent, but... there was something else about it that piqued his interest. He couldn't put it into words, but it was strange to him. Then again, he didn't know this boil at all, nor was he too familiar with his kind, and from what he could tell, just about everyone here had a very unique scent. Maybe this was just what an inugami smelled like..?
"Tybalt." He answered, offering his own hand in return. "They call my kind a black dog. We're something like your typical hell hound, barghest... You get the picture, I'm sure." He shrugged. "Who were you looking for again?"

Gale almost bristled at the "figured you were a dog of some sort" comment, his hackles rising -
- at least, until he realized that this ghost meant it quite literally.
<< Relax, idiot. He's going to get suspicious if you're not careful. >>
"Right," said Gale to Tybalt, nodding a bit as he casually flicked his tail back and forth, wrapping it around his leg. His face relaxed into one of calm pleasure, tilting his head to the side as he examined the creature in front of him.
"A pleasure, Tybalt," he replied with a smile that was easier than he had expected to fake. Perhaps it was the fact that he did not look like his Hunter self and did not have to constantly be checking to make sure that the other would not drive his claws through his neck at first chance.
<< Don't get sloppy. Be cautious. >>
Yes.
"Hell hound, hm?" said Gale, brows lifting with interest. A wry smile twisted his lips. "Ah, well, never met a hellhound before. And I was looking for a ghost by the name of - "
<< Jove. That was the name the gryphon called the little blue thing in the cages; the one who was throwing shoes. >>
" - Jove, but haven't managed to find him yet." Gale jerked a finger over his shoulder, indicating outside of the door. "Passed by someone who said he was here, but they mighta been mistaken - "
<< Mention something about the 'field trip' - subtly, please. >>
" - they said he might be still recovering from the, er...field trip, was it?" finished Gale, with a small and apologetic shrug, looking aptly unsure of himself. "I'm afraid I wasn't here in time to attend that, so I'm not quite certain what they meant by 'recovering,' after all."
The lies were coming more easily now.

"Never met an inugami before now, either." He said with a shrug. His eyes narrowing at the mention of the field trip.
"You're well informed..." He sighed, pushing his hand through his hair. "It was a field trip of sorts, yes..." He answered. Not bothering to mention the part where their 'trip' got interrupted by the hunters, followed by that crazy a** battle and the loss of their gym teacher. Though it wasn't like he could speak about it anyways.
"They meant, recovering from the usual crap that we're put through each time we go on a field trip." Again, he didn't bother with specifics. "I'm sure you'll find out soon enough, now that you're a student here."
"Anyways, Jove does live here... Though I don't know if he's in his room at the moment. Why? Need help finding him?" He asked, curious to know how this snot knew the little wisp.

<< Watch where you're treading, idiot. Subtle. >>
I'm trying - now that I think back on it, this was the creature that spent a good portion of his time in the cage throwing as many insults at us as he could. He's definitely got a temper.
<< Something tells me we're not going to get much out of this one. >>
Not without risking a lot. And Caelius would have my head should I return having compromised my position or identity.
<< He does love that scythe. >>
He does love that scythe when it's sticking out of other people.
<< So true, so true. >>
"Not really," said Gale, with a casual shrug. "It was merely mentioned when I registered for classes, is all. I overheard someone telling someone else - you know how that is," he added, with a small, slightly sheepish expression of one who had been caught with his hand in the cookie jar. It quickly slid into one of concern, however, Gale nodding quietly.
"Sorry, I don't mean to be insensitive," he said, rocking back on his heels. "I wasn't here, after all, so I haven't got any room to assume things or anything."
"Need help finding him?"
<< Mayday, mayday. >>
What now?
<< Clubs. Pretend you're interested in clubs. >>
That's the first thing that came to your mind, isn't it.
<< Maybe. >>
"Er, no that's all right," said Gale quickly, waving a hand as though embarrassed. "It was nothing, really. I just heard he was a member of a club that I was interested, but I'm sure he's not the only available to talk to."
<< You're sinking. >>
"At any rate," Gale continued hastily. "Don't worry about it; I'll catch him later."
Pushing himself away from the chair, he gave the creature what he hoped was a friendly smile.
"Anyway, thank you for your help," said Gale, with a small wave. "Hopefully we'll meet again sometime."

Tybalt had once again took interest in the couch. This time trying to make it more comfortable as he sprawled over it. If anyone wanted a section of the couch now, they were going to have to fight the black dog for it.
"Eh? No problem. There's just been a lot of s**t going on lately. Normally everyone is in a better mood than they are now." He shrugged. "I guess it was just lousy timing on your part. Don't worry though, I'm sure it will get better."
He listened as the boil went on. Mentioning something about clubs.
"A club? Ahh I see..." The darn school rule of having to be in at least three clubs was a bit of a pain. Especially for one who was new to the school. "Hope you find him and good luck with the club stuff. There are a few neat ones about. If you like, you can check out the K9 club later too. Not really active yet, but y'know, something for our own kind."
He nodded offering a friendly smile of his own. Though to a human it might have looked more feral with all those serrated teeth.
"Sure, no problem and I'm sure we will."
