The Marigold Family is a bit strange but nice all the same. Eric James Marigold is the eldest while Bianca comes next and Shine and Howl are found on the bottom.
Their parents passed away when Shine and Howl were younger, so Eric and Bianca banded together to raise help their siblings as best they could.

Eric has always been a simple type, knowing he was going to be a blacksmith and content at living in Nirvani Island with his family. He knew that eventually he'd meet a nice girl and settle down. That all changed the night of the wreck. Eric has always been the leader, but now he was the father as well. He was only twenty one, barely more a child himself when he and Bianca began having to take care of Shine and Howl. Howl and Shine were twins born to their parents later in life. Both were only fourteen when the accident happened, and unruly as they came. Eric resolved himself and promised Bianca that he would do whatever it took to take care of them all. Thankfully there was life insurance to help with household costs, and he and Bianca got jobs to cover everything else.
oxoxoEric is very focused on whatever his task he has at hand. He is closest to Shine and often butts heads with Howl. He tries to be the father, but sometimes he needs a break. That is when he takes walks outside with his secret collection of cheesy romance novels. She was twenty when their parents died while Eric was twenty one. They both promised they'd do whatever they could to help take care of their younger siblings. Their parents had went driving in the rain to get get medicine for Howl, her younger brother when they got into the fatal accident. Bianca had just been fighting with her mother and when she heard the news she was devastated. Her resolve when times get hard is remembering how her mother looked when she said those awful things.
don'terase She has always been quite adapt at reading tarot and has always had another sense about things. When Bianca told her mother that, she had written her off, sparking the last fight. Now at twenty six, Bianca has been able to forgive herself slowly but surely. She's quite reserved and sweet for the most part unless someone accuses her of lying. Hotlink to the character's journal. нısτσяყ → xoxo Shine and her brother Howl were the surprise babies to the Marigold family. Because of their distance between them and their siblings, Shine and Howl were spoiled, both by Bianca and Eric but also by their parents. Shine was the most spoiled out of the four of them though. For whatever reason, she was just able to worm her way into the hearts of the males in the family, always getting her way. She is older than Howl by a mere two minutes and never lets him forget it. Like Bianca she wasn't made for an ordinary job, extraordinarily flexible and loving to make people laugh with her flips and twists.
After their parents died, Shine was the first one able to make Howl smile again. She is very physical with her emotions and not able to really express her feelings verbally most of the time. If she's happy, she laughs, if she's sad, she cries, and if she's angry she punches. She's quite mischievous and not the brightest, but all together pleasant to be around if you need a laugh. He was always sick growing up and his parents were constantly having to run out at all hours of the night to get medicine for him. That night it was his asthma medicine. He was having a hard time breathing, but nothing critical. When the officer showed up at the door in the rain instead of his parents, Howl saw the devastation on his sibling's faces and felt responsible for everything. He fell into a deep depression, unable to speak for weeks. The only person that was able to pull him from his darkness was Shine. And even though they argue constantly, they are very close.
He also has a special connection to his sister, Bianca, she made sure he ate and was the only one who seemed to understand the guilt he felt, confessing that she felt as though it was her fault as well. Now he works as a journalist for the small newspaper, refusing to work as a blacksmith like his brother. He and Eric constantly butt heads because they disagree on everything. ℓıĸεs → xoxo❥ reading
