Well some of the posts were also out for a long time and then someone finally decides to post out of no where it does make for it to be slightly random if you ask me. xD;;
Also I was thinking that we should probably try cleaning up all the threads that aren't in use anymore. I hate to say this but I'm starting to get annoyed seeing so many unused topics in the main forum. sweatdrop

Completely changing the subject here but uh... I have a few things I would like to rant about and I felt like this was a good place to start versus making a whole new thread to rant in. XD Seeing as the topic of this one seems angry enough. XD
Anyway, I shall continue. I have a few things that I want to rant about or discuss with some of you.
------------
Rant #1.) For a long time now there has been this person that I met who was at first a nice person but has started to slowly get on all my nerves. She's basically a child who got married because she thinks that she knows what the meaning of 'love' is. She marries this guy that she met online and has known for a total of 2 years. She has barely been married to this guy for even a year, and of course with how mature she is being 18 and all is surprised to find out that her supposed 'husband' has cheated on her.
Now her 'husband' is stationed somewhere in Afghanistan, because he married her before he went out there. One of the reasons he married her was so that she could have support for a disease she has.
Ok correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's completely stupid to marry someone you barely know especially if you're still a child. Sure you can argue the fact that she's 18 but you have to think that this guy is 22 and they were 17 & 21 when they met, so.....? I believe that they are still both children, heavily. This idea I thought was stupid, just completely stupid. Why would you marry someone you barely know and SO FREAKING YOUNG!?
I've been with Mayra for 7 years now, 7 YEARS! I had not even seen her until 4 years before moving out to Minnesota, however I had been in a relationship with her for 3 year prior to that move. I had a very strong commitment with her and I still do which is why we're together. However I didn't jump the first plane out to go see her 7 years ago now did I..? Nor did I see her 5 years ago if you want to get even more crazy.
I don't know the whole idea of a child getting into such a HUGE commitment like that just seems ******** retarded! And then the fact that this person is completely stupid about the whole situation, constantly moping because her 'husband' wasn't online talking to her any chance he could. Or because she was so freaking lonely. Um, hello...!? YOU BARELY KNOW THE GUY! AND YOU'RE TOO SHY TO SHARE CERTAIN THINGS WITH HIM YET YOU WONDER WHY AND HOW ALL THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED!? Gee, I wonder why. stare
So she says that she's talked with him, that she doesn't forgive him but she still 'loves' him. In all honesty I believe that she's just blinded by the thought of being alone since she thought that this guy loved her so she married the first person that asked her. I don't know but I don't think that being as clingy as she is, isn't the best idea.
I'm not saying she deserved to be cheated on, but I am saying that she was stupid for getting married. I'm also saying that because of other reasons that I'm not surprised that he 'cheated' on her either. Everywhere that I see this person moping about online I see people feeding her neediness and mopy-ness and it's driving me absolutely MAD! DDDx STOP FEEDING INTO THE FREAKING PROBLEM!!!!
Rant #2.) There is this other person whom I know as well. This person is a really good artist, I think that her art is amazing, her coloring is gorgeous. However she's VERY full of herself. Which to some extent I think a lot of artist can be that way. But she's 21 and every picture she draws looks just like the last one. She also thinks that because she's gotten paid with real money for some of these pictures, that she's top notch.
So in other words there's no variety because they all look like they're the same person only with a few things changed here and there. As in clothing, hair, and colors. Other than that the whole image looks just like the one before it. Every picture is posed in the same 3/4ths face view pretty much. If you were thrown into a sea of images you could spot all of her drones in an instant that's how much alike each image is.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with drawing 3/4ths face view but if all of your work looks exactly the same and you think so high and mighty of yourself yet that's all you can do, then... Where exactly is the talent..? I want to see some drama or some action or maybe THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FACE, WHAAAAAT? HOMFG NO WAAAAAI!!!!!!! rofl
When this person talks down to you it makes you feel like ripping your gut out or possibly ripping other things out. It's funny though because the person feeds off of people's praises, but if you critique something makes up excuses. So they like to surround themselves in lower end artist so they can boost their ego's higher. It's a sad vicious cycle that I hate to see and I don't approve of the constant praise for this person because the coloring is so good on the image. Like I said I want to see more in the image not the same thing over and over again.
I in NO WAY say I am the best, but I love what I do and I don't talk down to people who like my work or criticize it. If I did something wrong and I didn't catch it then I'll take it. I've been known to draw people's hands backwards. sweatdrop Usually I don't notice until someone points it out then I have to fix the problem, of course. rofl I'm not a b***h to someone who may be a potential "threat" to me just because they have a better grasp on something I can't handle. Like in no way do I feel that I can draw a man correctly, I hate the way I draw them. I'm working very hard to get better at them, is it working..? I have no idea. And I can't draw lips to save my life, but I'm still trying and experimenting.

However I really needed to get all of this off my chest and I feel like I'm getting suffocated in other places where I don't feel safe to rant. Ahem.. er, ya. Looking at that long, her art is amazing, but at the same time it bothers me. I'm not sure why but I really hate it. The art doesn't look like clones or anything but they are all female, all colored very similar but in different clothes and different hairstyles. They are all the same medium. Most of their facial expressions and way they hold themselves has an unwelcoming feel to me and makes me feel uncomfortable.
...I hope my art isn't like that.. Well no not the medium thing.. or the similar thing.. but the facial expression holding themselves build thing. Well, concerning my humanoid art anyway, not the animals, or objects, or other random stuff I've done..

I'm not sure, I don't think that your art gives off that kind of feeling though. At least I haven't felt that way about anything of yours I've seen. So I wouldn't worry about it.
Her stuff however really does bug me. Yeah sure it's nice eye candy but what really bugs me is the fact that it ALL looks like the goddamn same to me! scream

Thank you sug, I always do try to experiment. Actually yesterday at Christmas I tried to draw a character of mine that's half russian and half romanian. I'm not sure if I made him too think or not(medium build) but likely because its super zoomed in and my style tends to make everything look thinner even when its not thin at all like some freaky optical illusion. After him I drew a naked lady with a ribbon flowing around her that changes to wings at both sides. Shes so pretty that somehow upside down and right side up she looks like she looks good XD Like she was meant to be sitting in that direction. I'm very happy with her, though not sure what medium to do it in.
Think I really spotted the issues in her art? Aww x3 Now I feel sharp.

You should get like a tumblr or something else I can stalk you on Ty, I'm so tired of millions of updates every time I go to DA and since that's seldom it's really annoying and tedious. D:
I was just drawing some chick that I fabricated from the ceiling stucco... XDDDD You know how you look at something long enough you can make out objects and figures, well I was staring at the ceiling one day and saw like a woman's profile. So I tried to recreate what I thought I was seeing. So I don't think it's exactly what I remember though since it was a few days ago that I did this. Dx I know I should have done it right away but I had others things to do. XP

XD I think the main reason you don't see my scanned art often anymore is simply because I don't have a scanner. The only sites I put art on is furaffinity and deviant art. I don't know those other sites ^^;;
That piece sounds interesting, yes I do know. I used to love staring at sand and letting my vision fade out to view it as far away on hot days, then the heat waves in the air and the blurring mixed would make it look much like a hot moving ocean and it would entrance me for so long. I would love to see her when you're done.

I like staring at walls and ceilings mainly. xD;; I think we sound a little odd right now! XDDD
Hmm, well she's mostly naked because I don't remember what I envisioned her wearing. And I'm not sure I have the hair right but I know there was like a regent for sure. rofl She's definitely not something I would normally draw for sure!
