History||
Born in Egypt, she doesn't remember the parents she was taken from as a child of five. Taken to England, she was sick from the drastic weather change and left to die in the wilds. Merlin had found her and taken her in, sensing magic potential. She learned from a very young age not to be loud or intrusive, and in return for her continued good behavior she was rewarded with nuggets of knowledge and teaching from Merlin when he could take time from his own studies and duties. She didn't do much magic, due to not very formal training and due to the fact that as she gained resistance to things and her REAL powers awoke, the potential Merlin had sensed for arcane studies like his magic had dwindled. She taught herself to read, write, and draw, studies Merlin encouraged and gave her books for to look through on her own...when she was done with her chores and the minor work she was given as the lowliest apprentice. Known to her as Nimue, sometimes known to others as Morgana, or Morgan le Fey, was also there, occasionally. Nimue had acted like royalty, treating Lyra like a slave for her skin color and obvious youth, as well as the fact that one person's apprentice could be treated as another's, if the two masters were amiable towards each other. By now Lyra was about twelve, and she watched Nimue tie Merlin's soul and spirit to a tree, and then had it cut down. Lyra spirited most of the wood that had been cut down away, and had taken it back to his small hut. There she had mourned, and made the wood into a sort of box. Nimue found out, and was enraged. Sending Lyra into a deep sleep and locked into the small chest she had been able to make, Lyra woke up again many many years later.
It was now 17-something in England, and the person who had found her in the chest just figured she had been playing dress up and fell asleep. Or had been drugged and dumped. They at first hadn't understood her language, closer to the Bard's than the Queen's English. Eventually escaping, Lyra was chased and bullied in the streets due to her skin color and way of speaking. Finally seeing a place she thought she would be safe, she had asked for help in the new world from an apothecary. For two years she managed to survive in this new world, being chased and hunted for being a witch when she had managed to make a man fall asleep as he tried to kidnap and rape her. And it didn't help when she was afraid, that things moved around, her real power of telekinesis unheard of. Finally finding the box again and stealing it back, Lyra found the stump where Merlin's spirit still faintly resided. Burying the box and then herself after making herself fall asleep, she had convinced someone to cover her with dirt. She has now woken up again, somehow having been brought to Reed's in the box which has changed as she needed it to. It has kept her alive and young throughout her years of sleep, and she still feels as if Merlin was watching her, still somehow alive, if just sleeping, as long as she kept the box whole. Will be found in there at odd times, and sometimes studying as if it intensified her abilities.

where should i have her appear in the box, and i would rather have her with another person though i could put her to live with Vera, since i am assuming Vera's all alone in where the Sirens had lived...? well, with Greator and Ryuu... rolleyes

Miera42 where should i have her appear in the box, and i would rather have her with another person though i could put her to live with Vera, since i am assuming Vera's all alone in where the Sirens had lived...? well, with Greator and Ryuu... rolleyes Your choice.

I guess I didn't understand the last comment. Just post about the box appearing in the classroom. And I'll make sure you don't have characters sharing rooms. It's a no-no rule for me.

It's a no-no rule for me. i was just saying if i HAD to put her with Vera, i could.....but yes, i agree; same-driver-OC's shouldn't automatically live together unless they were made as family or to do so....i just think Vera all alone is kinda, um -_- sad...pathetic wise though there's the emotion there too XD
