A black female glared at the ground. She was upset, but no where near close to tears. She was fustrated. Pregnant and was feeling abandonded. She looked around for the Daeva who was the father of her kits to be. He seemed nice enough, even his father wasn't to happy about giving birth to him, now the son is going to have kids... At least they have a common ground. Asuna sighed and plopped down on the rock she was sitting on.

For once, Aleksandr was tempted to scorch something. Another fox, a small animal, a forest...Something. Which was very unusual for him. He rarely showed emotion, and never anger. Perhaps that was why his own father hated him. The daeva could hear his voice now in his head, calling him a wuss, claiming that he was just a normal pretending to be a daeva for daevas needed to show emotions, the violent ones, the worst emotions.
All through that his mother stood by Aleks's side. She was the better of the two, or so Aleks had thought. Until he had met that normal, Asuna. While he had only met her a couple of times, and never had a decent converstation with her, somehow the dieties decided they should have kits together. It had to be the dieties horrible sense of humor for that to happen. Aleks wasn't sure how his mother would handle the news that she was going to be a grandmother, but she probably would not be happy about it.
Aleks's steps slowed as he spotted something black sitting on a rock ahead of him. Speaking of mothers....There was the mother of his children. He approached her slowly, not bothering to say anything...yet.

With a slight twitch of her ear Asuna turned around. There he was. 'Think of the devil...' She blinked a bit then got down from her rock. She didn't know what to say. What was there to say? She examined the Daeva before her. At least he wasn't bad looking. "Have any ideas where to go?" They could go anywhere they wished.

Aleksandr sniffed. "As long as it is somewhere far away from our family I do not care." And anywhere was fine with Aleksandr. Wait..."As long as I have room to stretch my wings as well of course. And...the wings of the kits, should they have any." Dieties it was going to be hard having to think of what was best for the family. He knew one thing for sure, the farther the kits were from their grandparents, the better.
He looked down at Asuna. He did hope that the kits took after her more than him. It was bad enough he had to have the same colored wings as his father. He didn't want that on the kits. "Where have you always wanted to live?"

The vixen nodded. Anywhere... Right now she wanted to be somewhere seclusive. She didn't want to be in the jungle... there was just too much going on there. Not the dessert... "What about the mountains. Or a grassland neer the mountains. That way we have space, and as far as I know its away from our parents." She looked for any reaction or commomt from Aleks. "To be frank, I don't care where we go. I just want to go..." Her ears pressed back and her head lowered. "... and soon."

"As long as we avoid the sea we will not see even one flame from my parents. They have this idea to live on an island." Which really did leave a lot of choices. Forests, plains, deserts, jungles, mountains..."The mountains sound like a good idea. Depending on how high we are, we would be better able to protect the kits until they are grown and on their own."
With that, Aleks shook his wings out. "Then let us be off, for there is no better time than the present." He blew some of the hair out of his eyes. "And do not be afraid to tell me if you need to stop. You do not want to tax yourself in your current situation."

Asuna was fine with that. She looked up and saw the sun. Ok she knew witch way to go now. "Let's head west. I believe there are mountains that way. I think we can find a sutable height, not to high or low." Asuna looked at Aleksandr. "I will be carefull. I promise." She wanted to add to that but she hesitated. Before she made another step he looked back, past Aleks and toward her home. She glared, snorted, then headed west.

Aleksandr had to fight back a smirk. So this fox had an attitude. He supposed it would make for interesting travel. After all, if she was a fox like, say himself, it would be very boring as there would no doubt be little conversation. At least he wasn't stuck with one of those eye blinding bright foxes.
"Do you know how many days away these mountains are?" Apparently Asuna knew more about the terrain than he did. Well, they wouldn't get lost that was for sure...he hoped.

"It should take about a week. If we are lucky..." She paused to think. "A good four, five days." She just kept forward, she felt as if she looked back she would regret everything. But she wasn't going back. Not anytime soon. Her tail flicked. "Let me know if you get hungry as well. I know where some good spots are to hunt." Hopefully Aleks would be good to her. Protect her on this journy... Maybe even become close.

A week at the most of traveling. Alright. He had experienced worse. Or maybe not since the female he was with was pregnant. Hormones and all that. It could very well be the worst experience he had. And he hardly knew Asuna. Just her name and the fact she was carrying his kits.
He bowed his head slightly in acknowledgement of Asuna's suggestion. "Of course." He fell silent for a moment, trying to come up with a somewhat safe conversation. He prefered to stay away from family for the moment. Which left..."What do you like doing?"

While the vixen walked a shrug rolled off her shoulders. "There are a few things I like." They were doing one of them. "I like traveling and going to new places, but I have been to these mountains before. I also like... Obtaining things." As she mentioned that last thing a faint clink was heard from the pack around her thigh. "What about you?" She knew Aleks was a pretty lax guy. She was curious what he did. She knew to avoid parental talk, that was a obvious given their situation.

Aleksandr raised an eyebrow. "Obtaining things?" His eyes slid to the pouch at the noise, but then back to Asuna's face. It was no matter of his what might be in there. Just because Asuna was with him, as well as the mother of the kits, did not mean Aleksandr had to get into her business.
As for what he liked...What did he like doing? There really wasn't a lot that he had done. "I suppose things that need to be done." A lot of the time if someone asked Aleks to do something, he did it. He did not care if it was dirty work, or labor. He did it anyways. Aleks found that he did not care about a lot of things.

Asuna saw his eyes wander to her pack. "...I come from a family of thieves." She left it at that. She was sure the boy could put two and two together. "There isn't much in there. Just something I want to pass on to the kids." She looked over at Aleks. "I will show you later if you wish."
"You know... someone could take advantage of that." She wasn't going to. Sure she may have an attitude at times but she cared. But with Aleks it was a odd case. She cared for him as she would a friend. But he was going to be the father of her kids. It was just a little awkward at times. Deep down she hoped something more would come from this.

Aleksandr nodded slightly. "If you wish to." Their kids had not even been born yet, and already Asuna was thinking of them and their future. What could she possibly be giving them? But if she was already thinking of their future...Asuna would be a good mother.
Aleksandr snorted. "If they did, I would have stopped helping." Aleksandr may help many other foxes, but he knew better than to help someone who was using him. He wasn't that blind or naiive. "If there was a valid reason they needed my help, then I would have helped them."

Asuna chuckled and rolled her eyes. "Ok." This was humorous to her. Why? She was unsure. She pause for a moment. "Look. The mountains are so high you can see them from here." Her paw was pointed upward, then sun was just setting behind them, it made it look like the mountain was their promised land. Away from judging eyes and family.
