The Student Council room had not changed much since the first time this particular set of council members had first seen it. The door was wide open this time, as if refusing to act like there was something to hide. Inside, sitting in the very same chair that Red had inhabited that first meeting ago, Riley waited. Her arm rested on the armrest, and her head was perched on the hand of that arm. Her other hand was tap-tap-taping the chair repeatedly.

Anxious, unhappy, and altogether ready to begin and end this within minutes. Of course, she had to wait until they arrived, before anything began.

She was never very good at waiting.

The council had been called. When he got the message, Jericho made sure to show up on time. He had an idea of what was going to be discussed that day, but he didn't know all the details. Stepping on in, he paused for the moment as he saw Riley sitting where Red was the first time they were there. It was the President's chair, after all.

Shaking his head to himself as he didn't want to think too hard on the lost Professor just yet, he made his way in and took his seat. There should be plenty of time to dwell on that once the meeting began.

"Hey Riley," he greeted once he was sitting. Most likely, it wouldn't be long before the other members of the Council showed up.

Junko looked like she hadn't slept since the day before, and the highly caffeinated drink in her hand was only further proof of that. Her hair was twitching, there were slight bags under her widened eyes, and there were new bandages on her fingers. The ghoul had learned that sewing with bandages on her fingers was hard..but apparently she was a glutton for punishment and had done it anyway.

She felt fine. No, really. She felt great. Better than yesterday.

Not long after Jericho had made his entrance Junko followed suit, pausing at the door and just staring at Riley in the chair at the end of the table. It..it looked very comfy. Yes. That was all she would allow herself to think of right now. "Hey guys." Junko chirped, sipping from her mug as she walked up to the table and sat in an empty seat near Riley. "How's your leg, Jericho?" It felt like it'd been weeks at that Haunted House; Junko was having a hard time believing it was only one night.

She didn't look very thrilled to be there. There was something ironic about the PUBLIC RELATIONS officer having a look on her face like she would have rather gone back to where she'd been, curled back up in the pile of pelts, and fallen asleep. Or at least pretended to be asleep. Like Junko, there were bandages - though in Shehk's case they were wrapped around her head, a reminder of the double blunt-force battle her skull had with ground and lost to it.

Seeing Riley in the seat that she'd last recalled Red sitting in caused a slightly visible flinch in the Pricolici, but she said nothing, her eyes turning away from watching as she walked over to take her own familiar place, easing down into it with a great wince and then leaning forwards to keep her back from touching the back of the seat. Cleaned up and bandaged or not, the chainsaw wound in her back ached horribly, how she could even stand tall at all was probably a function of trying to hold onto it for everybody.

If she was seen carrying herself like a gimp, it'd lower student morale, wouldn't it?

Either way, she seemed to sink once she was seated, leaning over and cradling her head in her hands.

"Hi."

Her voice was small, not out of meekness, but it sounded like she was still thinking. Thinking over everything. Over all of the images and scenes that would still play through her head for the weeks to come. But would that desperation and the gut-punching failure that followed from it ever really go away? She wasn't sure.

She looked to Junko. Junko looked as tired as she felt - it was hard for a creature who didn't require sleep to actually look as tired as living flesh, but still...

"How are you holding up, hon?"

It wasn't like Christof to be late. Truth be told, it was hard to be 'late' to a meeting so impromptu, so under the radar, that information about it had been told almost immediately before the meeting was scheduled to begin. Riley eyed the open door, as if assuming her eyes could summon the igor, before she gestured for everyone to sit down.

Hello. She greeted them all quietly. Shehk, I am glad to see you back. We have some things of import to discuss, as I'm sure you're aware. We are just waiting on Christof before we begin, but while we're waiting - Junko, how is your, ah, project coming along?
PostPosted: Mon Nov 07, 2011 7:27 pm

Shehk arrived and Junko immediately turned her head her direction to make sure she was okay, eyes darting to the bandages around the ghoul's head. She swallowed hard a moment and took another sip from her mug to distract herself, doing whatever it took to keep her mind off that morning. So much fire. So much chaos. Her hands trembled and she sank into her seat as if that would keep her from going crazy right here. Nonono. Relax. Relaaaaax. Damn, this wasn't her usual jasmine tea. Was it too late to go back and get it? But if she did that she'd probably fall asleep. Damn! What to do what to do what to dooooo! "Oh my Jack, Junko. Shut. Up." Came Her muffled voice from underneath the bun tied up behind Junko's head. The ghoul blushed underneath the gauze covering parts of her face and cleared her throat, sitting up and giving Shehk her attention when the ghoul asked how she was.

"Ah...a little better? Kind of. Um. Oh, you mean...the tired? Oh, nono. I didn't sleep last night." She paused and sipped her drink again. "At all." Yes. She was still up from yesterday. "What about you?" Junko's expression softened as she regarded Shehk, quite worried for the ghoul. She had been hit pretty hard by the events of that morning both figuratively and literally.

Riley's voice entered her shortly after that and she gave the mindflayer her attention, though she also noticed they were short their secretary. Where was he? Maybe he was having trouble getting here? But at the mention of her project all thoughts of Christof's whereabouts were pushed aside for the moment.

"Not terrible. I made one to start just to figure out the pattern and then kind of went from there. Sewing is harder with these bandages." Junko wiggled a few fingers as if to emphasize her point. "I need a clasp of some kind though to keep them closed when all is said and done, I don't remember how the original closed since I never...thought..to check..." Her voice grew quieter as she admitted that. It wasn't that it was something she should be ashamed of she just felt sad knowing there were so many things about Red she never noticed that now...she never could notice. "I'm calling Lizzy and Xiu after this to ask if they want to help, since it was so late by the time I remembered I was going to do it and I didn't want to wake them."

Junko appeared to be doing relatively well, but Shehk on the other hand... looked horrible. Jericho looked over the undead girl with a hint of concern as she came on in. As with the others, the trip must have hit her pretty hard.

"It's getting better," he said to Junko before waiting to hear on the progress of things. It was too bad he didn't know how to sew or else he would have offered to aid... outside of having supplied ALL fabric. And help move it into Riley's room.

"Shehk, how are you holding up?" he asked once Junko finished speaking.

"Nuk has been...watching after me. But, I'm fine."

It was a lie. Her head ached and she was trying to convince herself if she didn't blink, her mind wouldn't flash the images through her head anymore. It didn't really work, but it was a grip on anything to try and keep herself from breaking down into tears again. She really didn't have tears anymore - or so she would have liked to have though - and Nuk had put up with a good portion of them himself. The skinwalker was a completely different problem on her psyche as it was, but none the less, it seemed she was getting all sorts of odd curveballs thrown at her in the last couple of days.

Shehk paused, looking to Junko, then did a motion around her neck. "There wasn't a clasp, it went over her head." she said after a moment - knowingly. What else would they be talking about? It was a detail Shehk would have noticed, and it seemed to take all of her willpower to not break down into sobbing again.

It only was two more steps, why couldn't you have moved faster she chastised herself for a moment mentally. Her arms shook and she forced herself to sit up, even with her bandaged back against the chair.

Scrambling, limping footsteps could be heard down the hall befor the hunchback fumbled through the door. Late, late so late but he had only just heard about the meeting... Flushing, he spotted his Mistress at the head of the room and gave her an appologetic bow before taking a seat. Notebook out and pen at the ready, he prayed he hadn't missed anything too detrimental to whatever it was the were meeting about. Just take notes, that was his job.

Riley had no time to react to Christof's tardiness - instead, as soon as he entered, she stood. Her walk down the table took only a moment, but once she was at the door, she closed it shut very carefully, and turned so her hand was on the knob behind her. A soft clicking sound was heard.

Good. We're all here. Let's begin.

As she walked back down to her seat, her hand rested gently on each council member she passed. When she stopped at Junko, she responded to the cloak matter.

Shehk is correct, there was no clasp. I'm not sure how it attached, but I do not remember a clasp. However, if you're going to make clasps, I think you can imagine a good symbol to place on them.

Then she turned, and sat back down in one flourished motion, clasping her hands in front of her.

This meeting is going to be short. It has to be. Junko, I want you to tell everyone what you told me, so that we can begin the process of planning a proper memorial.

Her eyes lifted to Christof's pen and paper, and her face lifted slightly. He was so eager to do his job, she almost hated to say it, but.. Christof, I want no record of this meeting, please. Trust me, your input is of far more value.

Nuk was watching Shehk? Junko's eyes widened with surprise, a smile actually spreading across her lips. Nuk and Shehk?! Were they back together? Oh please, oh please! She desperately needed the good news! But when there didn't seem to be anything else on that Junko pouted and returned to drinking from her mug, perking up again at Shehk's answer to her plight about not knowing of a clasp. No...clasp? Wow. Red had a magic cloak. "That's odd. I've never seen a cloak with no clasp or string." She'd have to make one then. But how?

Christof's arrival was welcomed with a small smile and a wave as he bowed for Riley. "Hello, Christof. How're you feeling?"

Riley began the meeting, however, and Junko quieted. She'd just concentrate on finishing off her drink. It was doing wonders to keep her awake for this. But Riley spoke her name and told her to take lead, looking up with wide eyes and a faint blush underneath her gauze bandages. "Alright." She answered quietly, downing the rest of her drink for courage before standing where she was. Junko cleared her throat and waited for Christof to agree to Riley's request first. Yes, there would be no record of this.

"The boogeymen are forcing everyone to claim Red retired," Junko even added air quotes with her fingers before she continued more seriously. "It's not right. The students are hurting physically, emotionally and morally. Simply writing off what happened as nothing is wrong. Red deserves better than that. I think we need to do as Riley said. A proper memorial. But we need to do it in a way that the boogeymen won't catch us, and if they do they can't do anything. Riley and Jericho have been very generous in providing a lot of red fabric." Wide eyes were turned toward the mindflayer and the dragon. "A lot of it." She still wanted to know where Jericho found so much red fabric. She wanted to go to this place. Damn.

"Anonymity seems to be our best bet. We pick a location, go there, and then don the cloaks. I don't know how we'll get the others to do. Maybe just...spread a rumor? Somehow? That's something we need to figure out together, I think. That and a location. But I have the anonymity figured out! I'm making red cloaks, enough for anyone who attends. Now we just need to figure out what exactly we'll do to honor her, where we'll do it, when and how."

Christof looked a bit disappointed as Riley stopped him from his note taking, but shifted in his seat obediently. It was a shame no one there knew sign-language, but a quick thought in Mistress' direction sufficed, Mistress, I could make a few anonymous fliers, perhaps? Cut up bits of magazines for the letters and make them cryptic... Can be good about it. Will not disclose all information in one place. Might look like nothing to those unsure of what they are looking at. It was the best he could come up with. Verbally spreading rumors was not something he could help with, unless it involved interweb stalking, but since Groanspring had made it complicated to make "anonymous" comments, his interweb shenanigans had been cut short. I am more than happy to make anything needed, though.

Nodding to Shehk, Jericho was glad to hear that Nuk was taking care of her. The poor girl looked terrible. His attention then switched over to Junko as she began to lay out their plan of action. It was certainly a good start, but it would be a little tricky for them to execute.

"We'll have to find a way to pack the cloaks and get them to all the students. As well as with some sort of message or way to let them know what's up," he said, "Um... I have a lot of kobolds I can use to help deliver things."

He turned towards Shehk for her input. She was the public relations person after all.
PostPosted: Tue Nov 08, 2011 7:09 am

A proper memorial. Good. Shehk could think of a few people that could be asked about things for one;

"Someone should talk to Cricket." the pricolici said after a moment. "If nothing else, the school nurse likely knew more about Red personally than we did - but she seems to have eyes and ears everywhere." It was weird to recommend a staff member for this task, but Shehk...Shehk had seen that look on the woman's face in the medical tents. It wasn't quite the same as the looks on the student's faces, but it was related to it.

Frankly, it didn't seem like it would hurt - it didn't seem like the staff would do more than tell them to not get caught based on their response to being censored.

"As for... 'delivering' things, I know that just us as the council have several dorms covered by living in them, but I have a question:

Do we know if Minipets can move items through the subspace? It might be a sneaky option to consider if we don't want them to find out about it. Then all we need to do is have students mark their doors with a certain scent or something for a 'delivery' minipet - or several - to find."

Shehk shifted, the burn on her back aching. "But that might require a quick experiment to find out about. If that won't work, then we'll need to think of something else." The pricolici knew that Skoll and Hati would be obedient enough to do so, but what about the Kobolds? Could they scent track?

Oh right, the Nurse and Red were pretty close from what Jericho had heard. It wouldn't hurt to find out some more about her if possible in that case. Nodding in agreement to Shehk, he soon thought about the minipet subspace. It seemed like a good idea but his kobolds might have a little trouble locating doors. At least by scent. He figured there might be another means to get them where they needed to go, however. Well, that was what he hoped. Otherwise they would need to find another way to deliver things.

"We'll test it out tonight. Alternatively, we might be able to put some sort of sign on the other side of the closet door as a visual marker for the minis along with the scent," he suggested. This would need some tinkering to say in the least.

"It's too bad we don't have some sort of HPS for them that they could use to navigate."
