Reine
Honest and outspoken; if she feels she needs to say something, she'll say it. In return, she'd rather you be honest with her than being passive-aggressive, or trying to sugarcoat your words. If you think she did something wrong, tell her, and she'll be more likely to regard what you say as constructive criticism- something she can work on. If not, you're likely to lose whatever respect she has. Reine
hates being babied. As evidenced from her actions in the meta, she also has a strong sense of personal justice. If she sees something she doesn't agree with that directly affects her, chances are she'll do something about it. If you say something she thinks is stupid, be prepared to deal with her reaction.
That said, Reine's not completely uncompromising. A huge part of what she does is related to learning and improving and being open to things; in college, she was majoring in biology- even now, she's extremely interested in research. Since she was young she's been somewhat of an insomniac, and she has a habit of staying back at the lab to work at nights. She cares more for the fun of research- that is- the process, than the results. ALWAYS BE CLONING! It should be noted, though, that should she get to work with actual halloween specimens, she might not be completely comfortable with it at first. Ethical issues!
With people, she's usually friendly, though she has a terrible sense of humour- she can't resist bad puns, even in the worst of situations. It's sort of a coping mechanism with her- the more nervous she gets, the more likely she is to say something stupid. Her greatest pet peeve is someone who's whiny but doesn't make any effort into overcoming their weaknesses; it goes against everything she believes in! She will, however, tend to step up and stand up for weaker people who do try hard. Again, it's how she'd like to be treated herself. There's no point in babying someone who's going to waste your effort- might as well help someone who genuinely wants to improve.
Reine's extremely goal-oriented, favouring environments in which she can focus, if she needs to. It's because she gets distracted easily and knows it, so she'll go out of her way to make sure her environment is conducive for working. She likes thinking of herself as logical: eliminate all distractions so you can work better, but it's not completely efficient since she'll spend time cleaning and organising and packing things, making sure they're neat, before she even starts working. The same goes for her room, which is usually neat and clean. She'll get twitchy if you touch her personal belongings, or move something she's put in place, though she's unlikely to voice it unless it's a particularly precious (or expensive) item you're playing around with. She also gets somewhat attached to her belongings, especially her electronic gadgets,
which have names.
Alynthe
Somewhat catlike, somewhat snakelike, and extremely slimy, the way Alynthe speaks feels sort of like a frog cosying up to you. Sometimes she sugarcoats her words, to the point of being overly saccharine; sometimes she breaks out the babytalk, cooing over Reine. Sometimes, she's just plain.. creepy. It's all for the best, though, really! She just wants to do whatever she can for her hunter, even if it's actually really unnecessary.
She does consider herself somewhat motivational (cough, manipulative)- Alynthe is a determinator to the point of
never giving up and trying to convince Reine to
do all the things. Even if Reine gets hurt in the process, the experience is all that matters, right?
Why did your human character choose to become a Hunter?[
solo here] Even though Reine was never particularly traumatised by monsters or the like, save for the one incident as a child, she was somewhat jaded with life, especially all the drama between herself, her twin sister, and Robert. The invitation extended to her sounded like a chance to run away and leave everything else behind, so she took it.
Weapon Ability[swift strikes] projectiles of ice shaped like spikes/discs/icicles are launched towards the opponent, clinging to their skin for a short moment before melting away.
Physical Description: Tallish, slender; in pretty good shape.
