corvette z06 or zr1? which has more potential? im coming close to transferring schools and the car decision time is coming.
ive hopped my dumb a** all over the place througout my years of living
supra skyline m3s 240 sx/silvias rx7s civics and here i am at corvettes. im pretty sure this is it since im doing it all american as of lately XXDDD yeah but in all seriousness, you guys got me into the whole corvette thing. I figure suck buying a honda s200 and puttin in a ls1 i wanna buy me a whole corvette!

Well, this is my field of expertise. I am pretty educated in the LSx field. But I need more questions and answer. It's a long process. 1. Money? are you buying said vehicle? if so, how much do you want to spend? 2. Options, You can do what me and my Dad did and buy a car with a corvette motor in it. 3. uses, Di you want to use this for a DD, drag or auto cross?
I can tell you on thing. LSx motor are the most powerful motor's money can buy. Being apart of ward's top 10 motors ever made. These are powerhousing the Corvette, Firebird and Camaro's, GTO's, and holden's all share.
But for a budget Vette, Get an 97-02 I believe with a LS1 and build the motor. All motor you can make over 500 easy with the right mods.
What I did was bought a Trans Am off some guy who bragged (Has been backed up by a close friend) the car ran 12.7's with mods. I bought the car for 3k that's 89 dollars per HP. amazing ratio. for a 340 hp car running high 12's newer cars making 400 hp sometimes have trouble with 14's depending on the driver.
What I would do if I was you and had the extra buck would be. Buy a cheap Vette with an LS1, Sell the LS1, take the money and do an Lq9 Turbo Swap and reap everyone with your 9 sec car. Done. That's my dream for my fireturd. All for under 25k

I like the ZR1, but I do not like the black roof. I like the Z06 a lot better than the rest
