After an extremely long walk, and a good gulp of ome of her canteens, which she hated lugging around, she found herself at the wetlands. Bad choice Dottie. She peered around nervously, there was plenty of water and fish, but Dottie didn't have anything for fishing. Which sucked. She slumped down beside a tree, swearing to herself that she saw a giant spider leg, but after that, she didn't notice anything out of particular. She felt sleep craving her, but she stayed awake. She didn't want to know what came out at night in this place, it already gave her the creepers. She closed her eyes and made a silent prayer for safety. ' Dear lord...Please...Please... Let me at least last long enough to be at least considered for competition. I'm sorry for missing church for the last few sundays... I mean...You can tell I've been busy, right? Anyhow, Forgive me for all of my sins and I thank you for everything so far. Also help out my family if this is the end. Love you, Amen.'

Dottie had thought she'd been safe for just a little bit. Yeah right. Waking up, she found herself washed a good ways from her spot under a tree. Luckily her stuff had been washed up beside her, which she quickly examined and ate a few bites of jerky and two sips of water. After that, she tried some foraging, hoping to get something good. But before she could do that, she gently applied the healing salve she found the other day while foraging. She winced at the pain, trying to focus on the way her hair clung to her neck, still wet from the flood. The GameMakers weren't going to be very sparing aparently, giving a small sigh. She walked for awhile, her boots caked in mud from the flood, not to mention that this was the wetlands. Slightly tired, she sat down near a few puddles, managing to avoid them. Then, something aught her eye. A frog. Any meat would do. She silently picked up a stray stick, raising it above the amphibians. A few moments of holding her breath, and some generally okay stalking techniques, she'd caught some frogs. Dottie leaned up against a tree and continued to wipe the frog blood from her hands.

The treeline surrounded the wetlands, just as hoped. The forest surrounding the water was actually very dense, which was great. I hadn't yet dare dropped to the ground, but decided to keep moving around the water instead, in the safety of the trees above.
Tree after tree I hopped, searching for a nice spot to set up camp, but it was quickly obvious that I would be constantly moving, no room for a camp, or better said, no chance. I had spotted maybe 4 different threats while moving around the wetlands; Alligator-type creatures in the muddy, marshy areas; one or two furry, aggressive-looking canines. The next two were the most threatening things I have seen yet, two giant spider webs, big enough to trap a tribute, and the very quick sighting of a HUGE snake slithering across the ground of the forest at an amazing speed.
I decided that after 10 minutes of searching without a sighting of any threat, I found a few strong branches that crossed over that were about 30 yards from water, on dry ground. A spot I could at least spend a couple hours getting used to the new environment.
I laid out my sleeping bag, not really planning on sleeping there, but it was a good place to put some of my equipment. I tied another snare, this time hanging down onto the ground below. It was a tiring morning of travel, so I took a seat on my sleeping bag, leaning against the strong heart of the tree and had myself a meal. 2 servings of fresh meat and 2 servings of water.

After taken a moment to relax and regroup, I took a stroll through the new environment with my knife, canteen, and smoke bombs. Just moments into the stroll, I've already ran into good luck; an untainted pond. I drink all that I can out of my canteen and proceed to refill the canteen to it's full 5 serving amount.
I return to my "base" with, once again, a smile and feel of relief.

The sun had just past it's highest point, and I've decided that I should make the most out of this day. It might not be too long until I may be engaged in battle. I take my fishing net, 1 serving of bait, knife, smoke bombs, and canteen with me.
In a not-so-far look from the shore of the water, I can see my base. I prepare my fishing equipment quite cautiously, considering the beasts I have seen in the area. But I throw the net and bait in. Even faster than the river near the mountains, I bring in 4 good-sized fish.
I walk, on the forest floor, back to my hideout only to find a wombat-looking animal stuck in my snare; he's already dead. Carried in his mouth were 3 long strands of common herbs. It was a two for one deal, really.
I clear out a spot on the forest floor to start a fire with my lighter; a fire that would roast the gutted fish, along with the large rodent. 2 servings of fresh meat would come out of the rodent. 4 roasted fish would be the result of another successful fishing trip.
I grab my equipment and jump back up on the natural support area up in the trees above. There I would get a little crafty with some of the equipment I had snatched at the Cornucopia. This project would be surely accompanied by 2 servings of that roasted fish that was previously caught, the other 2 wrapped up in plastic wrap. All done while the sun was still up in the sky; way up there at that.

Dottie had simply been counting her supplies when, a giant wave hit her. THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME A FLOOD HAD HIT HER. She hated disorientating murky water, and dear God she was never going to the beach, ever. Luckily, this time she never lost consciousness. And once again, luckily, her stuff wasn't far behind. She patched herself up, fished a little, ate something, took a sip of water, and leaned against a tree, cursing her luck. (Though, with no cussing)

After finishing my project last night, I set it up below the tree-cover. The long rope was once again set up as a large snare, but this time, since I just use my fishing net for fishing, I tied the 4 large barbed fishing hooks around the snare. This would enable the hooks to dig their way into flesh, barbs used for a certain catch, to permanently trap any intruder. I fell asleep in my insulated sleeping bag hoping that more food would be around the corner.
Today, I find myself waking up a little earlier. It was pitch black, certainly not that normal blue-ish tint of the morning that I see everyday. I'm usually woken up in complete peace, but this extremely early morning was not. It was accompanied by a shriek that only be made by a human being. I quickly but quietly slide on my night vision goggles and slid my head over the tree branches. A female tribute was ensnared in my contraption. No doubt the hooks were stuck deep in her calf as I could see her try to cut the rope with her teeth rather than get the hooks out.
I quietly grabbed my fishing net and hunting knife and mentally prepared myself to kill. This would be my first kill in the games. The first time I've ever killed a human being. I suppose from an outside view, it's not much different than the cows or pigs I've seen slaughtered back in District 11. I glued that mentality into my head, along with two other ideas; kill or be killed... and vengeance for Venus Tala.
I looked around for a spot that I could jump down and get the fast kill with my hunting knife. Two large branches led their way about 4 yards from her position. It was perfect. I prepared myself to jump down and slit her throat, but then I thought about the noise.... Who knows what creatures would love to investigate the scene of screaming. I took a minute to re-plan. I grabbed my equipment and quietly hopped down the two branches, stopping on the second. I firmly grasped my hunting knife in my right hand and grabbed the net with my left. And then... I attacked.
I threw the net over the tribute and found myself behind her nearly just as the net dropped. A yell began, but was quickly ended by a sliced throat. The way the blood bubbled out of her neck was sickening. I felt lucky that this was at night and could only be scene in a greenish tint supplied by the glasses. Her corpse carried a large backpack. I threw the bag around my shoulder and dashed back up to the safe-haven above. The body wouldn't be retrieved until I left the area, and I knew that a bloody corpse would do nothing but attract trouble. I had to get out of the area soon, and I plan on doing that as soon as the sky is painted with a dark blue tint.

As I hoped for, the light of day didn't take too long to arrive. While waiting, I searched through the backpack I picked up from the dead body below me. It was packed as full as could be with all kinds of food; Full Canteen(5 servings) & Pouch of Purification Tablets(6), 2 Full Canteens(5 servings each) (2), Beef Jerky (7 servings), Dried Fruit (5 servings), Multivitamins(5), Rice Crackers (5 servings), Energy Bars (3), Water Purification Tablets (6). I could never go hungry or thirsty out here now. I just need to find a good weapon now. A hunting knife might not be enough to stop a sword-wielding tribute.
It was light enough to see the water from my terrace up in the trees, so I prepared myself to leave the area. Maybe to a new area all together. I never felt too comfortable here anyways...
Once again, I grab up my materials to, once again, fill all of the backpacks up with my food and equipment. I climbed down to the scene of my first murder. It was sickening, but not as bad as I had earlier thought. Maybe I was becoming mentally stronger... There was no way I could slide the hooks out of the flesh, so I ripped the hooks out; each covered in blood with a piece of flesh stuck on. I scrapped the meat off of the hooks with my hunting knife and placed that into the small pocket of the fishing bag. The bloody net as well.
Backpacks on back and shoulders, I picked a direction and started walking. Nearly 20 minutes of walking lead to an area with downed trees and mud. It was obvious that a tidal wave or flood had occurred in the area, no doubt activated by a Gamemaker. That flood must have pushed that girl out my way, right into my snare... I couldn't make too much of it though as out of the corner of my eye, I could see a crocodile eyeing me. I climbed up the nearest tree and started running in the same direction tree-by-tree instead.
I followed the water and stopped by a tree covered in dark blue berries. A Poggenberry tree. I could remember seeing these trees in the tree-fields of District 11. I took some time to eat a few berries just to be interrupted by the sight of a large spider a few trees away. Once again, I had to keep running tree-to-tree.

Dottie sighed, her eyes just now opening. They felt crusty and dry, she'd gotten no sleep at all. But that was common for Dottie, especially in the games. After a few moments of rubbing her eyes and wandering what to do, she decided fishing was the best option for what seemed to be early morning. She'd fallen asleep before the anthem, so she hadn't seen who was dead or alive. She let out a small groan, forcing herself to get up and fish. She only had three bait, so she used two of them, catching two fish. Later in the day, she decided to go looking for things, and she did, getting some almonds and hunting down another two frogs. Although, she wasn't a fan of frog meat, I mean, it's a frog. But she decided she needed it, eating one of them after cooking it. She'd been scared about the fire, so the moment she thought it was done, she'd covered it in marsh to stop the smoke as quickly as possible. She took a sip of her canteen, hoping to find some water tomorrow.
