Hariti smiled as they grew nearer to the den, the entrance now in sight after the walk to reach it through the plains. She looked back at Bukaera her happiness showing in the slight spring to her step as well as the elegant sway of her tail.
"Here it is, and we managed to get here before anyone else did." She continued into the small cavern which was slightly hidden from view or at least it would be in the dark, a safe place to rest away from some of the nastier rouges out there. As well as a safe place to stay with the handsome male that has been so sweet to her.
"The den is a little small, but well as you said before, it's easier to cuddle and stay warm." She looked over at the other waiting for him to join her in the cavern. The den would fit around three in it if you wanted to be squished but two would fit comfortably as long as they were relatively close. At least they would stay warm, the den was well insulated.

He walked into the den and looked around. It was relatively small, though he had been stuck with smaller. It would be different this time because he would be sharing it with another. He would have to be careful not to roll around in his sleep. It would be terrible if he accidentally squished her in the middle of the night.
"It looks nice," he said with a smile as he curled up into a ball. "How did you find such a wonderful den?" he asked curiously. As he looked at her deeply. He gave her a soft playful grin.
"I always have terrible luck when it come to finding dens. I can never find one the right size for me. Normally they are far too small. Either my head hind would have to be outside, it usually ended up being my head." he laughed at his embarrassing story. He thought about a time when he had to keep his head out while it was raining. He was completely soaked and cold, but he was sure it was one of the funnest sites around.

She let out a soft laugh at this curling up in her own spot not to far away from him. "I just happened to come across this one day found it. I happen to have good luck finding dens when I need one they always seem to be just what I need at the moment or could need at some time later."
Her tail swayed behind her happily ears perked slightly as she listened to him. She didn't get to enjoy the company of others very often so the company of this male was turning out to be better than expected.
"It's not often I get to hear such tales I haven't had anything like that happen to me since I was a cub. I had to end up sleeping out on the rains once, I was freezing and soaked before I realized that there was a den just a few meters away from where I had been sleeping." Her eyes held a hint of mirth in them as she said this a slight laugh leaving her as she thought about that night.

He laughed. It seemed they both had a moment of bad luck. He wondered how long she had been by herself. How did she lose her parents anyways, he wondered. "Have you been all alone since you were a cub?" he finally asked, staring into her eyes. He couldn't imagine what it would be like to be alone like that with no family. Despite his miserable young life, he had at least his brother with him.
"Do you know how you got separated from your family?" he than asked hoping he wasn't being too nosey. He thought if maybe they knew why they left it might be easier to find them in the end.
"I forgot what my parents were like. In my old pride cubs were never aloud to see their parents. I only had my brother. I always imagined what they were like though. My dad would have been a strong warrior, while my mom was gentle and kind. I don't know if my description of them is completely accurate, but it is better to imagine them than have nothing at all I think."

She looked down sadly nodding in answer to the first question. "I have been alone since I was old enough not to need my mother to survive." She could barely remember her parents and family just her mothers unique markings she could remember thinking they were pretty.
"I think I wondered off one day while mother was hunting... I never managed to find my way back. I'm sure my family looked for me but I can't even remember what the area we were in when I got lost." She was thinking hard staring blankly into the den looking at the formations of the rocks. There was so many things that had gone wrong that day.. she had been so young just a cub, she was lucky she had managed to survive at all.
"My mother had the most beautiful markings... They looked like butterfly wings on her back..." She smiled at him this was obviously a good memory the only one of her family she had.

He looked at her and placed his paw on hers, to know he understood. "You mother sounds beautiful, just like you. When we find her I am sure she'll be over joyed to see you again." He gave her a comforting smile. "Who knows maybe while we are looking I will find my own brother and we'll have two family reunions."
He grinned at the thought of his brother. "I think you would like my brother. He's clever, but a true warrior. I've never met a leopard so brave before." Bukaera almost had an idolized version of his brother in his head. To him his brother could do no wrong.
"When we find them it will be the happiest moment of our lives, I am sure. Being away from someone you love for so long and finally being able to be with them is an amazing moment." He said in a dream like way. It would be beautiful, he decided.
He could imagine her mother and her finally being reunited after years of separation. It would be an amazing moment for all of them. He was sure that his meeting with his brother would be different though. Much more serious. There would be no way his brother would ever admit that he missed him. No his brother would stay calm and collected like always.

Hariti smiled slightly at this the feeling of his paw on her's was comforting as was the warmth coming from him in the small den. "That would be very nice, for us both to find our family's. After all you have been very kind to me so far, I would hate for this to turn out as nothing." The violet eyed leopardess let her head lower to the floor just enjoying hearing the other speak after being on her own for so long.
"Your brother sounds like an amazing Leopard, I am sure he will be glad to see you when you find him." the descriptions of his brother made her remember her own litter mates, not that she remembered their personality's just vague colors...
Letting out a yawn she nodded in agreement to his words. "Just the thought of seeing my mother again makes me happy." She smiled slightly as she said this a dreamy look to her face. Getting to see their families again would be so nice, so very nice. With the way she was starting to think, maybe she would be seeing her family again. Maybe she would be lucky enough to get that chance.

Bukaera hardly ever felt a connection with another leopard before. Hariti had gone through things that he could understand completely. The bond almost scared him. It almost felt like he was falling in love. He would have to be careful to make sure their relationship stayed as friends and nothing more. They were there for each other to help find the others family.
"Where have you already searched for you family? I would hate to have to look where you already looked. Do you remember any landmarks from when you were a cub. Any mountains or rivers?" he asked her hoping to find some sort of clue to where her family was. He stared at her. "Think really hard now. Try you best to remember."
He hoped he wasn't putting to much pressure on her. He would constantly try to relax enough to remember what had happened the night him and his brother escaped the pride and got separated. Because of all the things happening at the time he remembered mostly blurs and not much else. He couldn't even remember where his old pride was, though he was sure he wouldn't want to ever know.

She thought it over but nothing stood out other than the rather large den they had been in. The area around the den was plain and you had to walk for some time to get to any source of water. "There wasn't much that stood out about the place as a cub I remember it being a long walk to any source of water, and the den was a large one, large enough to hold my mother, my father and all of my siblings. "
She went silent looking down for a few moment's. He really was so caring to take time out of his own search and help her look for here family as well. She honestly had never gotten this close to another leopard and she had to admit it was nice to be this close. What she was feeling was new to her a strange sort of warmth in her heart that she had never felt before, the new feeling scared her slightly she had to admit but it was nice at the same time.
She frowned slightly looking back over at him. " The area I got separated from them in was very plain looking and I think I have been there again in my wanderings but no one was there and no scent trails, they would have moved on long ago." The frown was once again replaced with a sad look as she tried of think of where her family could have gone. Her parents had to have talked about it some time when thery were cubs but she could remember none of it.

He nodded his head. "Tomorrow we'll look for them and I'll stick with you until we find your family." He said calmly as he curled up closer to her, hoping to get a little warmer. "For now we should sleep. We'll have a busy day tomorrow searching for you family."
He let out a loud yawn. It was late. Despite how much he was looking forward to tomorrows outing he knew that they both needed their rest. He gave her a small smile as he laid his head down. "If there is anything you need just let me know. While we are traveling I want to keep you safe and happy, alright?"
As it became darker, his eyes closed until he was fast asleep. He dreamed about family, his own and Hariti's. It would be a wonderful family reunion when they finally met up. A large leopard family. What more could he ask for.

She discreatly moved a bit closer to him seeking warmth as the light outside dimmed. "Yes we will need all the rest we can get." She yawned slightly letting her head move to rest on her paws.
"I will be sure to do so. It will be nice to have a partner to travel with for once." The thought of traveling with someone left a happy feeling inside of him a nice feeling that would follow her as they fell asleep. Even more so was the tords he said someone wanting to keep her safe and happy, It had been so long since someone else looked after her well being.
With these thoughts in her head she fell asleep next to him a smile on her face. As she slept she dreamed of her family and of Bukaera. The leopard had been so kind to her, it was such a nice change.
