The cold was starting to set it, such things were evident by the way the air was chilled and plants seemed to be dying. Even though winter was coming, it was still autumn enough to have a nice afternoon sun heating all that it touched. In one of these sun beams stood a rather odd looking noodle. Her ears were short and pointed, the tail long and skinny with a tassel of fur at the end, but the weirdest thing about her was the grey hooves that sprouted out of her fur on her hind legs. It was almost like she was a creature of myth and not a noodle at all.
Stupid sunlight. Thats all he kept thinking while darting through the underbrush, through the shadows. Shade hated the sunlight...the bright happy rays just made things..worse. No..darkness felt best to the nearly all black noodle. He could care less about anything else..even when his eyes caught a flash of slightly unnatural colors through the foliage. He did not wish to stop..stopping meant talking, talking meant effort and, living. That all spelled nothing good in Shade's head.
Light brown ears flicked forward at the sound of something, or someone, creeping through the undergrowth of the forest around her. She blinked a few times before turning toward the sound and putting one paw froward. "Hello?" She called, ears perked forward for a response.
Darn. Grumbling under his breath Shade froze..maybe if he held perfectly still the..whoever or whatever kind of noodle that was..would just leave. Then he could go on his way towards the dark little log called home. There were no thoughts of how rude or creepy he might seem..he just longed for that shady log..that place to curl up and wait for life to fade away.
