Marcellus Ivory Adair wasn’t one to gloat but he sure as hell was beaming. His arms were full and layered with candy. Blood-flavored lollipops and chocolate frogs. Every flavored beans and tootsie rolls and snicker bars. He had so many candies he doubted he would have to buy any ever again. He couldn’t help his grin. With a glance down the hall he headed toward the Great Hall. He had just bet all his Halloween candy against all Kennedy’s and he had won… on a stroke of luck.
He had had a low straight … Kennedy had held 4 Queens and an Ace. He was surprised how easily Kennedy had let go of all his candies. Marc would have probably thrown a fit. Well not a fit per say… but he definitely would have pouted.
Glancing over at the hufflepuff table he glanced to the slytherin table. Vi was there. He made a B line. Dropping all his candy onto the table in front of her he grinned. “Can you believe it! I beat Kennedy in Poker… I swear… I have no clue how though. ”
He sat and pulled out his sketch book. “I had nothing but bad cards too… I had a 2, 3, 4, 5, and a 6.”Looking up, his new robe hanging over the bench, he grinned. “So… wanna eat candy with me till we get sick? ”

Violet was a bit down that her favorite holiday season had just passed. Of course, she did rake up enough chocolate frogs to last her at least a month. She was hanging out in the great hall cause she had no idea where any of her friends were. If she had not come to the great hall she would have had to stay in her room. No way was she doing that. She could read but that was always risky in the dorms. Someone might see that she is reading and it would tottally ruin her reputation. She couldn't be known as a nerd like Marc. She would never get a boyfriend like the celebrities in Teen Witch Weekly had. They were always sporting some new teen band member on their arm.So she decided to come down and look at a fashion magazine instead. Where was Marc and Von when you needed them?
Just as she was flipping to a new page Marc came over with an armful of candy. He dropped the horde on the table and Vi's mouth dropped. "Marc you shouldn't be showing the whole hall this wonderful, amazing pile of candy! You never know who might be watching!" Vi started picking up half the pile of candy. " Now lets go eat till we are sick."

Marc grinned. "Well where else would i take it..." He scooped up the remaining candy. "Well...where are we going to eat this candy... i can't totally... go in to the slytherin common rooms.... and you cant go in to the Hufflepuff room... so... " He shrugged... "Lets go.... Somewhere where no one will watch us..." He didn't like the idea of anyone watching him puke his guts out.
"I think there is an empty class room up on the next floor." He grinned and Started for the exit. "So what do you think... Wanna do warhead wars? and Who can eat the most chocolate frogs?"

"Or we could go up in one of the towers way away from people." Was Marc serious about trying to go into a candy contest with her?! Of course, she would always win in that. "You are so on Marc! You will never beat me, like ever!" She started to take off towards one of the meany empty towers. She was going to show him who was boss.

Marc grinned. "I practiced over the summer..." He laughed and followed her. She was heading to the towers. He grinned again. "I can keep a black cherry war head on my tongue for 30 seconds before i have to take it off now..." He smiled full out as he made his way up the stairs. "All my taste buds were burnt off at one point over the summer."
