"Fantastic."

Howlite's wide, bright grin was like a burst of sunshine as she overlooked what was to be the Battery 'compound'. Her jacket had been removed, exposing freckled shoulders glistening slightly from exertion, though she'd kept her gloves on for protection as they shoved rubble from an entrance.

She'd spent the better part of the afternoon 'space-shopping,' looking for something big enough, unoccupied. The Rift was full of unused spaces, left behind and abandoned, what with the youma relinquishing the outer part in favor of their hidden village. Of course, she rather liked it there, but this... This was business.

Her dark eyes found the male beside her, the one who had spent hours walking with her, talking and pointing out areas to explore. Finally, finally they had found this. Room for training, meeting, and even a room to use as an office, of sorts. It was for the Battery, of course, which needed more space than Veritas had to offer.

"What do you think, General-King?" She dusted off her uniform pants, before planting her hands on her hips.

Zinkenite’s own coat had been removed as well, along with a vest, and the upper buttons of his shirt had been undone to reveal, very little actually, whatever held the mask in place went further down than he had shown, the only thing really revealed now was his face. He nodded slightly but looked amused nonetheless, it was far less exertion for him to move the rocks given that he could have moved a car if he had to.

“Don’t thank me yet, you have to make this work, and even then I won’t be the one to thank Captain.” He tossed a rock aside before turning back to assess the areas they had cleared. He wiped dust from his brow and picked up his coat and vest again. “I think… it is a good start.” He said carefully. He wanted to say he thought it would do very well indeed, but he would not promise success when part would be her effort, and part would be the trust others had in her.

“I HOPE, that it will turn out very well indeed though.” He smiled, an unguarded thing for once, a young face beneath the pale blue eyes. “I think this is very much something we need right now, perhaps a table, I’ll see what we can do.” He murmured as much to her as to himself. Mental checklists already working behind his eyes though they stopped almost as soon as they started. This was not HIS proving ground, this was hers, he stood a little taller as he looked her over, reading something there that he did not speak.

“Excited Captain?” He asked “Do you have people in mind? Would you like me to keep watch for people that would suit you well?”

"I reckon," Her black eyes met his, "That those that need this will come to it of their own accord, like me." She had no urge to forcibly recruit, or to track down new members. They needed the most loyal, the most dedicated. The people that were looking for something like this. A chance to work hard, to learn. She didn't want the trouble-makers, the arrogant, or those that needed to be kept in line. The doubtful and the diplomats. There were other places for them.

"Anyone with knowledge, I'm going to ask them to share it. Medics, combat experts, tacticians," She nodded an acknowledgement to his own particular skill, "But knowledge, and rank, won't make our ranks. It's all about this," A thump to the chest. "I want those that want to sweat, to bleed, to make us succeed."

She would crush them with pressure, and see what diamonds were born. They would be a team, a family of united purpose that the Negaverse, the Senshi, had yet to see. No jealousy, no insubordination, just the mission. There was a sort of serenity in dedicating oneself completely, losing themselves in their duty, and Howlite would show it to them.

"A table. That would be nice." She added, belatedly.

Good, very good, her answer pleased him enough that he didn’t even bother to raise the mask back into place to make his expression harder to read. He enjoyed on many levels the anonymity it offered, the fact it almost removed his individuality until he spoke. Now was not the time or place for that though.

Yes, blood sweat and tears tied to a loyalty, a dedication to the cause. Not a blind dedication though he thought many would call it so, but something more, perhaps something that could never be taught as a lesson, Howlite seemed to have come with that rare quality, but could she instill it in others?

“Is there anything else?” He asked watching her face, the serenity as she looked at the promise before them, the hope. “Anything for training people?” He clarified and then let a flicker of a frown, a thoughtful one pass over his face, eyes distant for a fraction of an instant and it was gone. “I greatly anticipate hearing of your team Captain, I hope you will be an inspiration to many.”

"We'll need to clean this place, get it into decent shape. Bring in some furniture, books, maps of DC... We can rope some lieutenants into doing it." Those was trivialities. Now that they'd found the place, Howlite knew it would all come together.

Zinkenite was speaking again, as the captain ran tugged off a glove, running a hand over some of the engraved symbols left on the stone of what would become her office. It took her a moment for his well-wishes to process.

"Oh, no, sir," Howlite's voice was somehow distant, as if she was looking at something beyond the ruins they stood in, "This isn't my team. It's Hers." It was, perhaps cryptic, but the blonde had felt a calling in her bones, and she was here to make it a reality.

Straightening, she blinked, and turned to face him, that smile appearing on her freckled face once more. "I appreciate all your assistance, General-King," she thrust out a hand, to cement her gratitude in a firm hand-shake.

He took the hand and gave it a firm shake in return; something wild and dark in those pale eyes, deep like the ocean but pale as ice. “Not at all Captain, I’m pleased to be of assistance, if I can be of further help please don’t hesitate to contact me.” He produced a slip of paper and handed it to her, a cell phone number of all things.

“…This, ties to a trac phone, specifically for ‘US’ if you catch my meaning Captain. Messages should be discrete but I promise if you ever need me for a non emergency this is the best way.” He slipped his vest back into place, and the coat after before giving her another nod.

“We are all ‘hers’, weather we acknowledge that or not is another story.”

"Of course," The blonde made a note to text him the number of her own disposable, and found herself pleased that he was smart enough to have one, as well. Howlite had begun using them as a civilian for an entirely different reason, but the habit had transfered over to her career as an officer.

She tucked the slip into a pouch at her belt, before speaking again. "If you don't mind the walk back, sir, I'll stay awhile." The captain turned her attention back to the space before them, contemplated. It would take some time to settle in, to complete her vision of where things should call.

Howlite nodded then, a quick, polite goodbye. She would not take up anymore of his valuable time.... Today.
