Typically as Leto waited for a teammate to arrive to a meeting, she would be pacing. But considering the fact that her knee was still in the healing process, she opted for sitting on her a** as she awaited Al-Janah's arrival.

Deciding that the roof of her apartment building was probably a bad idea after her and Deneb Kaitos got interrupted during their training session, Leto opted for a location less close to home. Unfortunately for her, she had never been to HITS, so mirrorwalking all the way there wasn't an option for her. She mirrorwalked to the closest mirror she had to the location and begrudgingly walked the rest of the way, trying her best to stick to dark areas to avoid unwanted attention in the middle of the night.

On the way she drained a few civilians, so if anyone walked her path they would notice fallen, unconscious bodies tucked away in alleys and dark corners.

She laid back in the grass on the field of HITS, eyes closed. At least she'd be able to feel it if anyone snuck up on her.

Al-Janah, in contrast, was very familiar with HITS -- which meant a quick pop into the mens' room on the second floor, followed by cursing and fumbling as he wiggled his way out of a window and struggled to close it behind him. If Leto's head was turned that direction [oh god, let Leto's head be turned a different direction] she'd get to witness the least graceful wiggle and shuffle and struggle and, eventually, tumble to the ground she ever witnessed.

At least he was powered up. It meant the fall didn't kill him, or even do any real damage, except for rattling his funny bone. Al-Janah was still grumbling, holding his arm against his chest and digging fingers into the spot, as he approached the field. This area he knew much less well, having never really set foot on the field.

Leto was a beacon, though. He wasn't even going to try to sneak up on her. He'd just approach.

Thankfully for Al-Janah, Leto's head was most definitely turned in a different direction, so she didn't get to enjoy the spectacle of him struggling and tumbling out of the window. If she had, she probably would have teased him for weeks. She thought it was particularly hilarious that her newbies (yep, they were hers) were the complete opposite of graceful.

When she felt the familiar aura of a fellow Dark Mirror Senshi on the field, her eyes opened. She remained laying on the ground until he approached her, and she simply looked up at him with a grin.

Immediately noticing him holding his arm, she began to question him. "Did someone else do that or was that all you? If you guys have been getting into trouble while I've been out of commission I won't hesitate to kick your a**."

She was completely oblivious to the fact that him and Deneb Kaitos had a run-in with an Eternal. And that Navi was out flirting with an Eternal that had kicked her own a** previously. ... God damn, her team really liked Eternal Senshi.

"...um." Without really thinking about it, Al-Janah dropped down to sit next to her in the grass, still nursing that injured elbow. He didn't know if she was serious about kicking his a**, about picking trouble with other senshi, but his expression probably gave him away at least a little before he dug up a proper cover story.

"I fell out the window. Was mirror hopping..." He turned in place to gesture in that direction, and then realized that his cover story was at least as bad as reality. Al-Janah rolled his eyes as he turned back to her, already regretting that one.

"Whatever. I'm ******** peachy, is the point of it, just give me a minute to regain feeling in my fingers."

Leto pushed herself up so she was sitting next to him rather than laying in the grass. Her eyes lit up with amusement when he admitted he fell from a window after mirror walking. She couldn't help but laugh quietly and shake her head at him.

She eyed him suspiciously for a moment, her right eyebrow quirking upwards slightly. She was injured, but definitely not stupid or blind to the expression on his face. She chose to ignore it... For now.

"I'm only half kidding. Just... Be careful. I don't need any of you ending up like me," she waved her right hand in the air, as if dismissing the thought.

"Anyway, I did some training with Deneb Kaitos before I got ******** up, so I figured I should probably find out how you're doing. With mirror-walking and energy draining and what-not. Oh, and fighting. I need to know where you all stand with fighting. I was trained by the best and while we may not be set up quite like the Blood Moon was, I need to make sure you can hold your own in a fist fight."

She brushed a few stray strands of hair away from over her eyes. "If you can't, I'm gonna teach you here and now," her familiar wide grin reappeared on her face.

"I was small and brown and liked computers in high school; I learned a little bit about fighting." He raised his eyebrows with that, leaning back onto his own elbows as he did. A week ago, he might have been concerned about doing that in the new duds; after his meeting with Dahlia, though, he'd gone more casual. Dirt, scuffs, scratches -- it really did all heal up when he powered down. Presumably grass stains would as well.

"...mostly, though, that meant kicking people in the knees hard enough to knock them down and then running for the hills." He grinned at her and shrugged. Not much in the way of fighting, no, but he had the attitude for it, at least. Hopefully that meant something.

"And, you know. That one Drumcorps pit..." Even just thinking about that made him wince in memory. It made the numb fingers seem like nothing.

Leto watched him out of the corner of her eye as he spoke. "Not good enough!" She shoved him playfully when he leaned back onto his elbows. "Moshpits don't count darlin'."

She pushed herself awkwardly to her feet. While she was healing quickly, she still found her movements to be heavy and uncomfortable rather than light and simple like she did before the knee injury. She shifted her weight to her left leg and looked down at him, arms crossed over her chest.

"Get up," she said, eyebrows raised and she nudged him gently with the toe of her boot. She took a few steps backwards and motioned with both hands for him to come at her. "C'mon, hit me."

She was grinning from ear to ear, a sparkle in her dark red eyes as she waited for him.

He'd just gotten comfortable, and she already wanted him up? Al-Janah groaned faintly, shifting where he was sprawled, legs hiked up as he considered Leto's too-amused expression, her folded arms. She could at least have offered a hand, couldn't she? To spare him the indignity of fumbling up to stand, shoving off the ground and shaking himself out...

He sighed as he patted the last of the dirt off of his pants and straightened, squinting across at her. "Maybe I'm not the kind of guy who hits girls."

It sounded good, but only until he said it out loud; then he remembered just how many of their new foes were girls, and he made a low rumbling noise, correcting himself carefully -- "Well. Unless they deserve it, I guess."

Hey, if she could get up on her own with a gimpy leg, he can get up on his own being perfectly healthy. She watched him as he eventually straightened himself out and dusted himself off. If she had a watch on, now would be the point where she looked at it impatiently.

"Then either pretend I have a p***s, or pretend I'm a White Moon Senshi who deserves it," she said. She secretly hoped he would not pretend she had a p***s- no lady wants to be seen as a guy, even if she was a bro most of the time.

She took the few steps forward to close the space between them. When she was practically right up against him, she went on her tip-toes (because even though she was wearing heels, so was he), reached up with her right hand and entangled her fingers in his hair. Dropping back down onto her heels, she tugged his hair roughly and waited.

"Girls fight dirty," she said. "Do something to get out of this." She had a very matter-of-fact, smug look on her face as she gave the fistful of his mohawk another pull. She would wait to throw punches when he started taking this seriously.

He didn't so much as take a step back -- just stood there blinking at her stupidly as she tangled fingers in his hair, slowly dragged his head down and to one side. A hiss, and a crooked look, but he managed a smile, slow, as she curled her fingers in tighter.

"...what if I like this, though?" It was teasing, and more than that, it was flirting. Neither professional nor appropriate, and neither was his attack in response: he shifted, fidgeted, and went for an honest-to-god-tickle.

Girls could fight dirty, but this was fighting really dirty.

Leto's eyes widened and her cheeks flushed. "Then I guess I'm in a bit of a predicament... Unless of course I like that you like it." She waggled her eyebrows at him suggestively, likely looking completely ridiculous.

Okay, so apparently in the last few weeks Leto forgot what professional and appropriate meant. The hell was happening to her? She definitely blamed her lack of professionalism on her head-- er, face-- injury.

The second his fingers touched her, she squealed and began to squirm, his hair still entwined in her fingers. "Noooo, not fairrrrrr!" She whined and bit her lip trying not to burst into laughter, but eventually her composure relented and she released his hair in a fit of giggles. And then? She did what any good soldier was trained to do when they were tickled.

She swung her now freed fist at his face.

Al-Janah took it to the jaw, halfway through springing back away from her, but -- well. Her hand was out of his hair. As far as he was considered, that was a victory, he had won the challenge. It was just hard to fully appreciate that with his head spinning and spots in his vision, stumbling back a couple of steps away from her.

He brought his hands up instinctively. Not swinging back, he just held them up in defense, shaking his head and trying to recover his train of thought. That had gone from flirt to fists faster than he really knew what to do with.

"...I think that was my point." Even if his mouth felt a bit mushy now, the words coming out...squashed. "I'm claiming it as my point."

Leto couldn't help but laugh at the entire situation. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hit you! Okay well, I did. Sorta. I meant to hit you eventually. You're not allowed to tickle me, that's cheating!" But hair pulling? Totally kosher.

She stood in front of him, waiting. "In a real fight, you're just gonna stand there covering your face? Take the point, but fight back you wuss." She grinned, stepped forward and shoved him.

Typically she wasn't so lenient and would never crack jokes in training. But she liked Al-Janah, both in and out of uniform, so somehow that made it different. Realistically, it also made it a lot more fun. To anyone watching, this probably would've looked ridiculous; some tiny girl shoving and picking on a guy that was several inches taller than her.

Some might argue that she needed an edge of professionalism, that this was inappropriate but -- others, perhaps a little more open-minded, would argue that different students required different teachers. With Al-Janah, maybe he needed the joking, needed the teasing, and also needed the solid punch to the face. The first parts would relax him, and the last bring him into the game.

He made a noise, short, as he lowered his hands -- mouth bloodied, but that was easily swiped away. And It'd heal quickly -- he wasn't terribly concerned about it, right now. He'd live, certainly.

"In a real fight, would you back off with a little tickling?" But he steadied himself, at least, adjusting his posture and watching her warily. "...I don't actually know where the ******** to start."

"I didn't back off, smart a**. I punched you in the face," she said matter-of-factly, "and I'll do it again."

With a quick wink, she called her attack. "Leto Camoflage Illusion!" She waved at him as she shimmered out of existence to him. She always loved using her attack late at night when it was easy to blend into the darkness and her surroundings.

The second she knew she was more difficult to see, she moved. She slipped up behind him and since she knew she wouldn't be able to wrap an arm around his neck to take him down, she did the next best thing and kicked out right behind his knee to cause him to drop to the ground.

If she was successful in getting him onto his knees, she would swing her right leg out and kick his side as hard as she possibly could with her sore knee.

"Now you don't have a choice or I'll pummel you... And then maaaaybe kiss it better if you're lucky. Depends how nice I'm feeling at the end of this." She was grinning, not that he could see it.

Man it felt good to fight again, even if she was ready and willing to beat up a team member. It was for the greater good!
