Lately she couldn't shake her thirst for blood. Usually whenever she went to sleep she found that she could sleep the entire night away, waking with the dawn, but lately Chuppi had been getting up in the middle of the night to hunt for a meal. Her throat always felt dry, her tongue heavy, but mostly the annoying rumble in her stomach kept her on the move and look-out for easy enough targets.
Of course she had to keep herself in check, too many missing minipets brought about questions. Questions that had to be answered and, due to her generally meek nature, Chuppi always answered truthfully. It never went over well for her to tell someone that she was the reason their pet had either passed on or was not doing so well. It also was nearly impossible to explain to them the reason for her hunger because it didn't even make sense to her - she was getting older, why wasn't she able to control her urges? Asking her parents would be a waste of time, they'd just yell.
So the Chupacabra decided that hunting was a bad idea for now, she'd need to go and maybe buy some blood? It was possible for her to get whatever she needed from the store so long as she had the silver seeds for it and, thanks to being a hermit for the better part of a year, she did. Shuffling in towards the nearest counter, she glanced about to see if anyone would be open to help her. It would have been so much easier if she were tall enough to be seen. . . .

Too many tea adventures with other demons in the dorm had turned into an adventure in running out to the store so she could stock back up on tea. It seemed that even the store of a kitsune was not eternal tea and thus she needed to replenish. Walking into the store, she started walking around making a puzzled face. She looked at all of the aisles, she made a puzzled face, then to one of the counters.
"Ouuu, where are the people working here..?" she whispered, wondering if there was anybody she could ask about where to start looking. Her ears perked up, then drooped, then perked up again. Mrrr...
She stepped into one of the aisles, looked around, spun a few times, then made a pathetic noise. "Tea...? Tea, where are you?" she keened a bit, looking back and forth at the aisles, before she also walked over to one of the counters to peer over it, standing next to the ghoul who was already there.
"Is someone helping you?" she asked, looking at Chuppi, before she perked up again to look around.

Chuppi nearly jumped out of her skin the moment someone came to her side and spoke, the monster having been distracted in her thoughts. She was trying hard to figure out how to get someone's attention, perhaps jumping or shrieking or something else, so being approached without her having to cause a scene was shocking. Small clawed hands quickly clamped over her mouth to stifle the scream that threatened to escape, and Chuppi shook her head to answer the question. She didn't want to be rude and not answer, even while trying to keep herself quiet.
Finally calm she pulled her hands away, red eyes watering a bit as the pounding of her heart tried to calm itself. She had to look up to speak, not an uncommon occurrence, and the Chupacabra hiccuped. "Um....no, not yet. I can't see to know if there is anyone at the counter, so...." She bit her lower lip, two large fangs jutting down. "Do....do you work here? All I want to get is some blood, yo tengo hombre. I'm hungry."

Tomoko shook her head, her brows furrowing together ever so slightly. "No...?" she wasn't sure if what she was wearing happened to resemble the uniform of the store, but it did seem to bother her that the staff of the store seemed to just be..utterly vanished. "I just want to find the tea.." the kitsune admitted, her ears drooping down. It seemed to bother her that the other ghoul was being..unattended to, however, and the kitsune offered her a hand.
"Let's go look around. Maybe we can find somebody while we look." she nodded. "It might be quicker than waiting, hai?" Either way, the kitsune seemed eager to go pave her path. "Maybe they will be next to each other. They do tend to keep the liquids together, don't they?" that seemed to be a theme if she could recall.
She'd always gotten her tea from tins at home.

"Yo...yo no se. I don't know. It has been a very long time since I came into this store and even then I was waited on right away." Her cheeks turned bright red at having confused this young woman as a worker at the store, and the chupacabra mumbled out an apology as she shuffled her feet together. The Thermos she had brought along with her clanked at her side, having been held in place by a strap over her shoulders. "And...well, okay. I'll go with you if that is okay."
Chuppi rubbed her face with the bottom of her hand and blinked. She'd never had to buy blood before, considering it was something made in abundance by everyone, so this whole shopping experience was pretty new for her. "You're looking for tea? What's tea?"

"That's fine! We'll find it together!" Tomoko began to pace the aisles, looking at signs that gave promise to what it was she was looking for while in company of the Chupacabra.
"Tea? It's a type of drink. It tends to be a mix of dried leaves and sometimes other things such as fruits or spices which you let set in boiled water to make. Sometimes you can put sugar or honey into it, or cream.. it's really a diverse thing. I drink it with my friends a lot." she explained as she stepped down the first aisle and started looking at the shelves.
Hmmmmmm, this looked like filtered water, and some other strange dried things. Certainly an odd row of things, but none the less she looked at everything they passed by.
"I've never actually seen blood sold in individual units." the kitsune said, sounding curious as to if they actually did or not. Hrrrmm. "Though a Blood Farm sounds like a place that would exist for doing just that." she nodded once.

"To be honest, I don't think I have ever seen blood sold period. When I would get it at lunch the lady always just...sort of motioned me to the side and I would chase an animal or something." Not that the Chupacabra disliked chasing animals or anything. It was a lot of fun, s'why she was now buying blood instead of just harvesting it, but there came a time when excess needed slimmed. Just like her waist, of course but that was another thing entirely to worry on.
Her ears and eyes and quills all perked up quickly at the sound of Blood Farm. Chuppi didn't know what that was either, but it sounded delicious. Tea? Not so much. "Um, gracias for looking with me even though we may not find what we want. At the very least being out like this is helping, I think" At the mention of friends, Chuppi smiled a bit. She had seen a few of her friends, but mostly she was meeting new people. She missed most of them really badly but unless she bumped into them she didn't know if she should seek them out or not. "Does tea come in different flavors?"
She was bouncing around the topics.

Tomoko paused. "I think there are a couple of vampire students at the school. Maybe you could ask them." To be honest, she'd never seen an actual VAMPIRE student, but she knew the public relations girl was vampiric, right? THat seemed to be a theme with her. "I'm sure if it's in their diet they would know."
The kitsune nodded as she continued through the store, looking for tins or something that would be a positive sign for her to be finding what it was she was looking for. Hmmm.
It would be a few aisle over where the kitsune finally found what she was looking for, taking up a tin and popping the lid of it to give it a sniff, before holding it out for Chuppi to also sniff. "Yeah, tea comes in all sorts of flavors, actually. Fruity, herbal, sweet.. I like the variety and I try to keep a lot of different kinds so that I can share with different people."
She pondered for a moment if there was a blood flavor of tea. The image it conjured in her mind was..interesting..

"I don't know if I could have anything other than blood. I've never really tried because I get nervous and. . . . well. I don't want to get sick because I am not sure if my kind can vomit." What...a weird thing to say, but it was true. Chuppi had never gotten sick enough to her stomach that she wanted to throw up, and in her natural form she was more than capable of eating her fill without ever feeling sick. Also whenever she was in her natural form she was too busy fighting her siblings to overeat, but she had to digress. Talking about puking was not a good way to make friends and the monster instantly turned reddish-green. She'd been alone for so long she'd forgotten how to be social!
"Lo...lo siento Senorita, I didn't mean to sound so disgusting. I...I've forgotten how to interact around other people, but that is just an excuse. I shame myself." Her quills drooped on her body, and the very small ghoul seemed to just shrink where she stood. How could she have just gone off at the mouth like that to a stranger? There was no way she could offer an excuse, she had lost her manners.

Tomoko didn't seem bothered by it at all. Certainly it wasn't the most..socially appropriate topic, but she resumed sniffing tins of tea until she'd selected three that seemed to smell good to her, stacking them carefully before she looked to the shorter ghoul again, smiling lightly.
"We should walk through the store to see if can find you some blood then. If not, we can always go to the scarefari and see if there's anything there for you." It was funny to talk about minipets as a food source for some, but... she knew there were some who did just that, and even the cafeteria food was..questionable at best.
It really was scary. It was part of why she didn't eat there herself.
"But truly, a vampire would know." Shehk could vouch to Sammy buying blood in town to mail her.

".....es...es la verdad? Is that the truth?" Chuppi was more or less surprised to see this stranger ghoul was going out of her way to help. Most people would have found the timid Chupacabra to be very annoying and left her alone to figure it out, but not this person. This person was willing to go everywhere with her, not just helping in the store. To the scarefari even! "I...don't know what to say, other than...thank you? Muchas gracias."
"I'm afraid I do not know any vampires. Back home I know a few la llorona, but not much else. We stuck to ourselves because there were so many of us and I...tended to eat many other people. Pets. Their pets." Chuppi had almost killed a demon goat child once, but that was an accident and they didn't speak of it. "Though, um, what kind of tea are you getting? You seem to have decided?"

"Well you walked through the store with me, so I will walk through it with you. That is how we treated our..more friendly neighbors at home, hai." she nodded, failing to mention the rival clan that they did battle with. Ouuu, Remi, why did they have to be enemies? It just wasn't fair, really. But she'd keep that lament to herself.
"If you don't know any vampires, the ghoul who was voted to public relations happens to have a taste for blood - Shehk. She seems..nice enough, I guess. I don't know her all that well, but she was popular enough to be voted into the Student Council, so I have to assume that if people like her, she's a nice person."
Tomoko nodded once. "Or, like I said, the Scarefari. There are lots of wild minipets in there." She then looked to her tea, turning the labels around. "I have gotten a Chai, a strawberry, and a mint tea. I think Jove kun was particular to the Chai because it was sweet, so I got it for him."

At the mention of the student council Chuppi's face lit up again. "I...was the Vice-President in my first year. I shamed the students and didn't do anything to help, so I'm scared to ask them for anything. But if you say this Senorita Shehk is as nice as she sounds then maybe I should ask for help with food." When it came to matters of her stomach there wasn't such a thing as pride. If she had to be prideful or have a full stomach, she would choose food every time. That's made Chuppi such a simple creature.
"Chai? Mint? Those sound interesting enough. Oh, and I know Jove! I...have only met him once though and it was when everyone was coming back." That was all Chuppi would say on that matter and she decided to quickly change the subject again. "When you say home, where are you from?"

[[ROFL, don't Shehk and Chuppi know each other? I know they've met ICly. XDD ]]
"Ouuu, to be honest the student council when I arrived at school seemed to be..lost to the wind. I only know of one boil who did anything at all, really." she noted, 'hmm'ing thoughtfully about it, but none the less it seemed to not be too big of a problem. Tomoko didn't seem about ready to tell Chuppi she had failed horribly at all the things because of some problem that had arisen in the last year.
Frankly, she was wondering if the field trips had something to do with the limitations suffered by the the previous council. Those field trips really did seem like they were mean.
"But I'm sure Miss Shehk would help you. She said in her speech she'd help anybody or lend her ear to anybody who needed it!" she nodded once. It had been quite an inspirational speech and she could tell speeches that came after that first one had been trying to live up to it.
"Oh! So you know Jove-kun too? He's a very quiet boy, ne?" she didn't seem to mind that too much, though the topic of home earned a sort of wistful sigh from the kitsune.
"I am from Japan." she said, nodding a bit.

(( Chuppi's not thinking straight XD. S'my excuse and I'm sticking to it! XD ))
"Japan.....Japan." The monster did her best to try and place the nation, and it finally came to her as her mind set over a giant map. "Oh, I know where that is! I have...never been outside of my home in Mexico before coming to Amittyville, learning English is very hard." Even now she was speaking slowly, doing her best not to litter her language with Spanish like she wanted to. She assumed Tomoko was using Japanese (or words she'd never heard) and she thought the language was beautiful.
"I think Jove is scared of me, I don't know why. I am too little to be scary, I am not a very good monster."
