 A new day a new guard. How long until Juan would get better, he wondered as he walked slowly through the mazes. He was going to meet the new guard at lions' mane rock. Than they would go to the lake and make sure all was well there. It would be nice to also go in for a quick swim as well. It had started to turn warm in the tunnels and he didn't want to get to hot. Plus it wasn't that often he let himself relax. Eris, his female friend, had suggested to him to start playing more. He was too young to take things too seriously.
He wished that Juan could go swimming with him. That would make an excellent trip. If Juan was there he wouldn't be afraid to act like he was having fun. He wouldn't be concerned who saw him playing games. His mind and body would be fully relaxed and comfortable in the company of his favorite guard. But he knew he would have to wait. Juan was still not fully healed and Nahasi new if he took him out now his wounds would only worsen.
The thought of his guard made him smile. After this trip he would be sure to visits him. Maybe he could see if he could get someone to venture to the outside and bring him back some flowers to give to Juan. He was sure Juan would love some colorful flowers to brighten the world down here.
Once he reached the rock he sat down and waited for the guard. If he was correct, the guard who would be watching him was Tsuyoshi'Yuudai. He had heard that the guard had come from the outside world before coming here. Perhaps he would be willing to take Nahasi out after they went to the lake and take him outside to find a flower for Juan.

He looked over to his den companion they where still snoozing soundly. He padded over to him and like every morning he nosed the other very gently so not to wake him. He took in a deep wiff of the others scent he'd grown to love it. He nudge the other cheek once last time he gave him a lick before leaving unlike most days he couldn't afforded to wait at the opening of the den for the other to go on their morning walks.
The abnormally large male slipped from the den fully he didn't want to go but he had to the King was in need of his service today. He had heard that Juan the King guard had gotten some kind of wound he didn't know what how bad it was he hoped it was nothing serious. He finally made his way to the meeting point he sighed seeing the King already there how long had he been there? Why hadn't he woken sooner? Why did he have to linger and do the things he did to Zuberi? The male pushed all these questions from his mind as he bowed to the king giving him a greeting.

"Hello Tsuyoshi," he greeted with a nod of his head. "How are you feeling? I heard that coming into the pride you had gotten hurt." He looked at the lion for injuries. If he took a lion who was too injured to guard him, they might run into some trouble.
"Today we are going to go to the lake and see how it is doing. Lately it has been fuller than normal, because of the rain in the outside world." he explained. That was another thing he would love to see. Rain. The thought of water dripping from the sky fascinated him. He couldn't even imagine what it was like. He started to walk down the tunnel that lead to the lake.
"I was wondering, would you be willing to take me to the outside land? It would only be a quick trip. I wouldn't want to stay there too long." he said giving the lion an innocent smile. "I would only like to get some flowers for Juan. I thought that they might cheer him up a little bit."
He hoped the other lion would say yes. He hated the thought of doing nothing for Juan, when Juan did so much for him. If he could get him the flowers that would be a simple start to how he could make up for the guilt he felt.

"My King." He said in his rough growly voice he always had. He bowed to him before tilting his head curiously hearing the male want to go outside. That was a odd request did the other never go outside? He he their pride was in the labyrinth and he loved it but he would always sneak off from time to time when he wasn't on duty to go get fresh air he assumed almost anyone did but this request sounded like the younger male had not gone in awhile. Frowning he gave a small nod.
"I am yours to do with as you wish." He said faithfully walking with the male to the tunnel. He loved this home he cared for it so much mostly for the great joy it brought him. His lips twitched a little. Joy? He thought as he thought of his companion all they did was fight with each other and most nights Tsu went home hoping to upset the other he loved watching his face knit together the way he growled at him.
"Flowers?" He asked curiously flower is that what you got them? Why they usually smelt nice yeah but once you took them from their place they would die. "A meal would be better." He said thinking of all the times he had hunted for his companion he knew secretly the male enjoyed it.
"If he's injured." The male added as he looked to the king hoping his advice would help he never talked all the much he was surprised he was even still talking now he assumed it was just because it was the king or maybe it was because the two males had something in common...male trouble.

Nahasi stared and blinked at the other male. What an idea. Why hadn't he thought of that. "Let us get him a meal than. It should be interesting to see what game is up there," he said with a hesitant smile. Flowers would have been easy enough to find, but hunting was something different. He had never hunted before, though he was sure Tsuyoshi had. If he remembered he wasa born from the outside world.
He started to walk the tunnels, heading toward the intrance to Mazu. "You will have to help me hunt. I'm still new. I want to at least help catch the game or I will feel like the gift isn't really from me," he smiled tenderly as he thought about his guard and about how he missed him. It wouldn't be long till they would be back together, than things would be back to normal.
As he walked he wondered if he wanted things to be back to normal. With the leopards absence he started to notice a longing for him he had never felt before. It was a different feeling than he had ever felt. He wanted to be with him at all times, to be there to keep him safe. Of course he knew he would want to keep him safe, he was one of his closest friends of course.
Deep down Nahasi knew the leopard was more than a friend, but he just felt like he couldn't admit it. Not yet anyways. Maybe once Juan was better they could explore the different feelings he felt toward the leopard, but for now he would just have to keep his feelings at bay. "Tsuyoshi, do you like anyone?" he asked curiously.

The male nodded softly he knew far well what he meant. When ever he gave his....what was he? Den mate...yes den mate course not like a mate mate just a male he shared a den with yes that what it was. He cleared his throat and then finally spoke after getting lost in his mind.
"We can get something small tire it out and then you should be able to get the killing blow. I shall...teach you." He said not at all minding helping the king get something for his guard. He only wish his den mate would do something nice for him once but that was asking for far to much.
"Do you know what it is he might enjoy eating?" He said slipping out of the entrance into the fresh air. He took a deep breath of the fresh air oh it was so nice. He then kept his ears alert listing for any game that might be near by. They where close to some wooded area they could easily get a rabbit or two.
"l-like?" He asked getting a bit shocked he was asked such a question. Oh this was a bit difficult to answer...no it was extremely difficult. He cleared his throat once again before nodding just slightly. "There might be my king." He muttered softly in a almost whisper not wanting anyone to hear. This could not get back to Zub in any way!

He thought about what Juan might like. "I think he likes gazelle." He decided after thinking about what sort of meal he saw Juan eat. "This is going to be an interesting adventure. I hope I don't fail you as a pupil." He laughed thinking about hunting. He should be fine, but it would be difficult, he knew.
He noticed how quiet the male had gotten. He smiled with understanding. "I hope that he will accept you," he said quietly in return. "I understand what it's like to be unsure if the one you care about returns the same feeling." He looked around a little embarrassed. He hoped no one heard him. An unsure king wasn't a good thing, even if it was just about love.
He walked through the tunnels and looked for the entrance. WIth Juan hurt, he had to learn the quickest ways through the tunnels by himself. It was a difficult feet, but he was able to learn a couple short paths.
Once he reached the tunnel leading outside he stopped. He wasn't sure what to do now. The light leading outside was so bright. What if the sun's brightness burnt him? He hated to admit it, but he was terrified of the outside world. But for Juan he would face the terrors of the outside. "I'm ready to go."
