After his encounter with Nefertari the day before, Imnir was even more happy than normal. One would think that this would be as a result of the fact that he knew he'd be disrupting the lives of her parents, who he despised, and that was certainly part of it, but there was something else. Imnir found that he actually enjoyed the company of the young female, she was downright adorable and for some reason gave him a warm feeling that he had never experienced before.

"Nefertari?" He called as he approached the area near the nursery that he had met her last. "Are you there, my lovely little friend?" He sniffed the air, full of a handful of unfamiliar scents, and hers was among them, but she was nowhere to be seen. Imnir sighed and sat down, glancing around occasionally in the hopes that she would manage to escape from her parents again to meet with him.

Jak wrinkled his nose.

They were giving him some nasty goop for food. Man, he really missed nursing at times like these. It was tasty, he was comfy and near his momma, not to mention he never had to wait like he did now that he was older and had a set of teeth with which to chew the nasty food these two-leggers figured he'd like. After a few protesting yips at the human who had set the bowl down and given him a pat on the head, the pup settled and stared irately at the food.

"What is this stuff?" he pondered to himself for a moment, then huffed and walked away from the bowl. Not only would he not touch the stuff, he simply wouldn't be near it. He'd skip lunch if he had to, but he was not eating that.

While he went he took notice of the slightly ajar door through which would mean temporary escape from this nursery, so without so much as a second thought or glance back, the pup casually walked toward it and out into the open world. The two-leggers probably wouldn't notice considering they were busy with their own lunches. Better smelling lunches, he added as an afterthought.

As the small brown-gray pup continued walking he noted a big brown glop walking towards him. Jak quirked a brow and his behind a nearby barrel, curious about the strange male. Judging by his size he was probably a fighter like both of his parents; the horns and teeth looked pretty daunting, but his own father had horns and teeth much like this male so he wasn't too scared. After the brown fighter called out to an unnamed pup, Jak stepped out and slowly approached him with caution.

"Who're you calling for?" he asked, the curious look having been replaced by the usual frown he had on.

Imnir's ears perked forward at the voice. It wasn't the voice he was looking for, but he turned to face it. The source looked rather similar to the one he was looking for, so maybe... Yes, this had to be one of her siblings, no doubt about it.

"I was looking for your sister, she is my friend." He said with a kind smile, "But I'd be happy to become friends with you as well. My name is Imnir." The large mokai wondered to himself why he was behaving like this suddenly, it wasn't like him, but he chose to ignore it for now. He would have time to think about it later, right now he had another pup on his paws, at least for the moment.

"What might your name be?" He asked, taking note of the unique markings of this pup. He wasn't used to meeting mokai who looked so similar to others he had met, so he figured he ought to remember their distinguishing features and smells to avoid mixing them up.

Imnir.. the name was somewhat familiar, though he wasn't entirely sure where he heard it from. Neither of his sisters ever mentioned any Imnir, at least not as far as he could remember. Then again, maybe it was something they only shared with each other since they're both girls and he's the only guy, not to mention the big brother who might go and tell mom and dad about anything and everything his younger siblings do. It was sad to think that his sisters would keep secrets from him, and he frowned a bit more at the thought.

No matter, at least he was meeting this new friend of one of theirs now. He didn't look too bad, actually, but there was still this...something. The pup couldn't quite put his paw on it, but he wouldn't be so quick to trust a complete stranger like his sister.

"Which sister?" he asked, putting off replying to the large mokai's question for the time being.

Imnir frowned, it seemed that this one wouldn't be so quick or eager to become his friend. Normally he didn't care, but for some reason he felt like pups should like him, want to spend time with him, things like that. The idea that they might not actually bothered him.

"Nefertari, you know, white fur, looks a lot like your dad." Imnir still didn't know the name of that white mokai, but he didn't want to let on to that the two of them pretty much hated each other. "Why? How many sisters do you have?" He tilted his head, "I've only met Nefertari."

Imnir stretched out his front legs and took a laying down position on his belly, his front paws crossed. Maybe if he seemed extra relaxed he would seem more trustworthy? He didn't know, he had never bothered to figure out what would make one seem to be a mokai that could be trusted.

"Two," he answered, then puffed up his chest a bit to look a little tougher. It probably didn't work, but maybe the older mokai would give him points for the effort. "I'm their big brother," the pup stated, and with a point of pride.

Jak watched the fighter lay down, and after a moment he decided it was probably okay to move a little closer. So far he hadn't done or said anything for him to think badly of him, so being a bit more polite wouldn't hurt. The pup stood and took a few steps forward before taking a seat again. "When did you two meet?" he then proceeded to ask.

Something about being the older brother made him want to know more details about his sister meeting an older, significantly larger fighter that could eat her in one bit if he wanted to. As far as he knew, Tari was a much a pup as a pup could be, and most times that was a good thing. Other times.. well, not so much.

"Well, what a great responsibility you have." Imnir nodded, "It is no surprise that you are concerned for their well being, and it is good that you are. You're just being a good big brother." Imnir never really thought about it, but he didn't remember his brothers and sisters, he wasn't even sure if he had any. It was a long time ago and he hadn't really cared, though this pup was behaving honorably by trying to protect his sisters.

"I met her just yesterday, we became fast friends. She is so innocent, it is good to see that mokai like that still exist." A bit of a lie, as Imnir mostly felt as if those who were as naive as she would not last very long, but at the same time it was rather beautiful. She wasn't jaded yet or bitter from the evils of the world, and that was something special.

Jak's tail beat the ground softly, happy to have someone's approval with regard to his being overprotective. Honestly, he figured there was a chance his two sisters would find him an annoyance if he acted all "big brother"-y around them, so he tried not to show that side of himself when he was with them. Not that they'd been together often since finding themselves new homes and with new owners, but they did meet at the nursery every so often. The frown on his face turned upside-down for a moment, and he regarded the larger mokai with a more friendly expression.

"I try," the pup said, downplaying his obvious delight from hearing the fighter's words. It was pretty obvious though, judging from the smile on his maw and tail beating the ground rather energetically. Imnir's words about his sister ultimately won Jak over, although he wasn't going to say he was a friend just yet. In any case, by now the pup had simply labeled him as an "nice mokai" and left it at that.

"Yeah, she is" he said, thinking a moment about his sister. Innocent wouldn't be how he would describe her, but it certainly fit. "I'm Jak, by the way," the pup then added, finally introducing himself. He felt a bit better about it now since Imnir seemed to have Tari's approval; judging by this meeting, Jak could kind of see why.

"I can see that. Good job." Imnir smiled softly and his heart swelled with warmth the way it had when Nefertari and he had played the other day. There was just something about these youngsters, a soft spot that Imnir never knew that he had, and surprisingly enough he didn't mind in the slightest. In the past he would have labeled any mokai who felt this way as weak, but now he understood. These pups, they weren't that different from his human. They needed to be protected, and they needed friends. There could be no weakness from something so noble as this.

"Jak, that's a nice name." He chuckled to himself, rather glad that his name was easier to say and remember than his sister's. "Simple, strong, it fits you." He nodded, "The next time you see your parents, tell them Imnir says hello." He repeated the same words he had said to Nefertari at the end of their last meeting. As much as he enjoyed the company of these children, he still wouldn't hesitate to toss a little frustration at their parents if he got the chance. Those two... They didn't deserve these children.

"In fact, tell your sister I say hello too. I'm sure she'll be glad that you two have a new friend in common, something for you two to talk about and bond over, hm?" He wagged his tail from side to side a bit, a rather odd thing for him, but he ignored it.

"The same goes for you as it does for her," Imnir added as he stood up, glancing over his shoulder to be sure his parents were nowhere to be found. "Either of you, just let me know if you need help with anything or want to go exploring with a friend to watch over you. It would be my pleasure. If you would like to bring your other sister along as well, it would be a delight to meet her."

He beamed again at the compliment, and decided that he did kind of like this large mokai after all. Still wouldn't call him a friend, but anyone willing to compliment him for being a good big brother was okay in his book. More so when Imnir commented on his name being so fitting, and even calling it "strong" too. The pup was elated, and it definitely showed. What pup didn't like being complimented, after all?

"Thanks," was all he said through the wide smile on his maw. "And I will. She'll probably be happy to hear from you." Jak then got up and glanced back at the nursery where he ought to be. If he wasn't careful, getting caught would mean a verbal reprimand from the two-leggers indoors. The thought was irritating, and it brought the frown back for a second. His attention went back to Imnir when he mentioned going exploring.

"Alright," he replied quickly with an approving nod at the other's offer. It'd be nice to have a big, strong fighter to walk around with, come to think of it. Add a bit of spice to his life. Not to mention it'd keep him safe just in case. "I'll take you up on that offer sometime then," Jak said with a small smile. "But I should go back. I think those two-leggers are gonna freak out if they find out I'm missing. I'll see you around."

With that the pup turned back around and bounded for the nursery, glancing back just once to get one last look at Imnir. Maybe this could be another fighter he could look up to, kind of like his dad. Once he managed to slip back inside the nursery, his stomach grumbled in protest. The sudden meeting sidetracked him from his actual task earlier - finding lunch.

With disdain he noted that the bowl of goop was still sitting there, just waiting for him to scarf it down. Sighing, and with resignation, the young pup decided he may as well eat it. He was hungry and ready for another nap, so without another thought he ate quickly, trying not to savor each bite by swallowing almost as soon as the food was in his mouth. When he finished there was just a single thought on his mind.

"Never again," he said aloud, forcing back the urge to regurgitate his rushed meal. Well.. at least his stomach wasn't bothering him anymore.
