Truthfully he was still freaked the ******** out with her and thought this was a bad idea. But it was also a good idea. Any type of training was good these days, and with the last craziness of the surrounding it reaffirmed the idea of needing to work together better, and, to train more. True, they had one, but one win was nothing in a war. They needed to up their power and fighting skills. What better way was there than sparring. Of course, Sparring with Nemesis might have been a death sentence but they had made a truce. Sort of. It was a bit shaky given their past grievances and Castor’s… healthy fear of her. But He figured if they just said they would work together that had about as much worth as a pile of flaming dog turds.
The night air was a bit damp, rain from the afternoon lingering well into the cold night. The lights overhanging the empty lot colored the world yellow, and in the distance a siren was going off. Sparring in the open might have not been the best Idea, but the empty lot was surrounded by empty buildings. The only eyes Castor worried about watching them were those of vagrants. Easily scarred off with a magic trick or just a puff of the metaphorical chest. Checking his phone again, Nemesis was due to arrive any second, hopefully not ready to rip his eyes from his skull.

It was a wonder what miracle had occurred to get Castor and Nemesis to spar. Apparently that miracle was Nemesis asking Castor if he was up for it. They had both recently entered in some sort of silly senshi tournament, but the chance to fight one another had never came up. It was disheartening, in Nemesis' opinion. She'd have really enjoyed the chance to beat Castor up. It would so saddening that she had texted him yesterday morning with "u + me = spar. don't say no you p***y s**t". He didn't say no. Nemesis liked to believe it was because he was too scared to fight her, but even more scared to say no to her.
This was the chance Nemesis wanted, though. She needed to spar with someone who could be considered better than her, so she knew how she matched up. So, Nemesis wasn't really seeking to beat the s**t out of him just to beat the s**t out of him. This was a lesson no one else could help her learn. Even within the BMC, Nemesis considered herself the better, so she wanted to seek a little outside help. She could spar with the BMC any time, she would probably only get one chance with Castor...
Because by the end of this battle he'd never want to run into her again.
She arrived at the vacant lot, honing in on Castor's energy. She could try and surprise attack him, but what was the point? Might as well make this as fair as possible. "I'm so glad you managed to pry yourself away from your girlfriend long enough to entertain me," she said as a means of introduction, the Eternal Soldier of Decay stopping in front of Castor with a confident smirk.

Death on legs. That was Nemesis in the eyes of Castor. He had a healthy amount of respect and fear for her. When seh dropped down he couldn't help but jump back. He'd half been expecting her to just flat out dive bomb or bum rush her way in. First strike was always the best after all. "Wife." It was a small thing, but, he was proud of his marriage, even if it was rocky.
"Truthfully I was surprised by the text. While we ah-" He looked at the sky for a second. "We sort of made up in the Surrounding, I didn't think you'd really want much to do with me. Aside from fighting I guess." The senshi of hail walked over to the edge of the lot. "While sparring is fighting... It's good to practice with someone who won't hold back." Or in her case, would make it an actual fight. "So." The sound of the sirens faded off into the distance. "Shall we begin?" A smirk as he hoped deep in his heart, she wouldn't try to kick him in the balls.

"Wife?" Nemesis inquired, thinking that Castor had moved pretty quick from engagement to marriage. Pollux had made it seem like he was freshly engaged. Besides that, Nemesis couldn't imagine getting married, not when this war was still plaguing Destiny City. Part of the problem was that she had difficulty dividing her time. Her civilian life was already fragile enough, there was no way she'd sufficiently balance a relationship and then a married life. She didn't want to fall in love when she risked her life almost every night. It didn't seem... fair to whomever was dumb enough to want to date her anyways.
"You're one of the stronger senshi around. It's only logical I seek you out instead of someone like your brother." Nemesis had to go against the best to prove that she was the best - not like she'd actually say Castor was one of the best out loud. He had obtained his prince form, it spoke more than enough. "The purpose of a spar is to get better, if I'm busy playing nice with you, neither of us is going to get better. That's probably the reason I can't stand newbies. I had a friend once who tried to get me to play mentor to one or two. I learned never to do such a thing again."
She was rambling, and it seemed like she hadn't heard Castor's suggestion at all. Earlier, Nemesis had given up the small element of surprise to talk to Castor - she was hoping to gain it again by not stopping her incessant chatter. In the next moment, she was on the move. Ducking down low, she charged at him, aiming to knock out his knees and get him off on the wrong foot from the very beginning.
Okay, so she wasn't a classy fighter. Other people could be classy. Nemesis was Nemesis, and thus, the very furthest from classy. "A wife, really? I can't even find the time to date."
Poor Castor, he'd have to listen to her talk and try to defend against her.

A grunt of air left his lungs as he took the blow to his side, trying to avoid the legs. She wasn’t going to start off weak and build up, she was going for the gold. Which to Castor, was perfect. It had been a long time since he’d done a hardcore match. Fighting the negaverse wasn’t training, that was reality. While Nemesis wasn’t the negaverse, she knew how to fight and how to fight to win. Out of many senshi, she was perhaps one of the best. “My brother? Haha!” Tumbling to the side, he jumped back, think where to go for a blow.
Her legs? No, that seemed to obvious. A person’s gut… now that was always a good idea. “Pollux told me you’re one of the most impressive senshi he’s met. Considering how hard it is to impress him,” he smiled, despite them fighting with each other, “that says a lot.” Her torso was the best target to him. “And yeah. Married her a while back. Lina Knight. Not sure if you know that story but-“ Fist came in an uppercut. “Sometimes love can conquer all.”

Her first blow wasn't entirely successful, but that was nothing to deter the Senshi of Decay. She had fought uphill battles before and won, and she couldn't even consider this an uphill battle. The matter of the fact was that she believed she was strong enough to beat Castor, especially since he wasn't prancing around in his prince form. She liked to believe that she could beat him anyways even if he was swirling about in his princely state. Nemesis tsked softly underneath her breath as Castor put some distance between them again. She was always better in a string of assault, her body knowing naturally what to do and when to do it. She could fall into a rhythm that made every action easier.
"I'll have to thank him for the compliment, and then inform of how badly I beat you. He'll laugh his a** off harder than anyone could think possible," she answered with a confident smirk. Pollux was surprisingly easy to tolerate, maybe it was just because they both enjoyed tormenting his brother with equal pleasure.
Did she suffer from the syndrome of talking too much? Yes. The only thing that stopped the onslaught of chatter was the collision of Castor's fist against her stomach, knocking the breath out of her momentarily. It hurt like a b***h, but it put him back in range of her reach. Now, Nemesis just had to keep him there. With only a second or two to react, she couldn't take the time to catch her breath. She had to react.
His stomach was too high for her to reach effectively with her knee, and her hands were instantly moving to seize Castor's arms to keep him close. It only meant that she was going to kick him in the last place he wanted to be kicked. To be fair, she would have done it to any other guy in this situation, probably any girl too. She wasn't singling him out for a good groin-kick. Really.
"That is stupid, you know. I think love fails us far more often. But, I'm happy for you, really." She didn't want to sound completely critical of his marriage, after all. "Congratulations on being one of the rare few who can find love."

Jesus ********- Nemesis was out for his blood. And- he was happy. How often did they p***y foot around. She wanted his blood, he’d go for her’s. They were probably going to end up beating the s**t out of each other, but that was a-okay. Better to than not, and never know where your weakness was. “Pollux is a worse douchebag than me. But I wouldn’t bet on him laughing. Mostly since you won’t win this one Nemesis.” Castor was a firm believer in what didn’t kill you made you stronger, (hello all his near death experiences), but when Nemesis got his arm in her grip, he want out.
This close and she could, and no doubt would, do some serious damage. s**t ********, he needed to back off and then rebound. That seemed the best tactic. Before he could try to really pry is way free, the sharp paid shot up his spine. Oh god of course she would kick there. This was a no hold holds barred fight, but oh god really? ReallY? She was out for more than blood.
Hissing, he dropped to a knee, trying to block out the pain. No doubt another blow would shortly come, but unless he could shake off that blow, he was ********. “Thanks” was all he managed to choke out about his marriage. Because oh god did getting kicked in the balls ever still hurt.

"Losing to you would be too hard of a blow on my pride. So, I'm not going to lose." She would consider it a pretty bad ******** day to lose to Castor, though it was highly likely that she would. Their skill level was about the same, they had to be in the game for about the same amount of time anyways. Castor had climbed to eternal quicker than she, but that did not mean that he had more experience than her. His ascent to power was quicker and justified, though power did not matter so much in this battle. It was skill, and this is where Nemesis excelled.
The advantage was her's, and she'd be a fool not to press it. He was down on knee, and while not completely immobilized, this was as good an opportunity as any to take him out. So, a groin shot wasn't exactly the fairest of assaults, but they hadn't come to this lot to have a nice little spar. It was as real a battle could be without the imminent threat of death. They'd both come out the better for it, though if Nemesis won easily it would probably do more harm than good.
These sorts of things tended to go to her head.
Another low blow was coming, one that she really hadn't found opportunity to do in an actual battle, but he was in the right position. Her knee thrust upwards, not to his groin which was now too low to reach, but to his chin. Subconsciously she was trying to avoid hitting him too hard. She didn't want to actually knock out his teeth. This was a battle, but she didn't want to give Castor an unsightly and permanent lisp today.

Her certainly couldn’t fault her for that one. His pride was a bit of a big thing, but, he was learning to take it down a few pegs, (which was hard as ******** all). Trying to shake off the ball shot, a white flash of pain as his head rocked back. God damn she was not holding back in the least. He would definitely feel that tomorrow, senshi healing aside. Rolling back, he had to block out the pain, but when he got to his legs, for a second he didn’t move, righting himself internally.
“Nice.” He coughed out. “But I didn’t get where I am by being a push over.” While she might have had training and skill on her side, he had brute force and a down right hellish ability to keep fighting when things were stacked against him. Was it determination or blind stupidity? Jury was out and wasn’t about to come back any time soon. “Let’s kick it up a notch.” Fist curled he charged at her, swinging wide and aiming for her head. Hey, she’d gotten him in the chin, so her face might as well be fair game too right?

Nemesis felt in a giving mood, so she let him have a few seconds to recover. A quick glance to the ground confirmed that he at least hadn't lost any teeth, but if she lost this fight because she let him keep his teeth she was going to be pissed. Victory was far more important than a hefty dental bill. Besides, it wouldn't be her bill to pay anyways, and there was no way he was going to be able to coerce financial aid out of her. That sounded like a hassle, so perhaps it was better that he kept all his teeth.
"Only an idiot holds back - which I shouldn't be surprised about, actually." There was a mean, confident smirk on her face. She was really going to regret giving him some time to recuperate. There was hardly enough time for her to dodge his oncoming fist, and with her mouth continuing to run, there definitely was not enough time. Dodging wasn't her strong suit.
An expletive shot free from her aching, which only hurt more because she decided now was a good time to curse. Her body twisted to the side, instinctively making herself a smaller target as she aimed a kick at his stomach. She should know better than to kick, her balance could easily be disrupted. More than once had a quicker opponent managed to grab her leg and leave her entirely baffled as to what to do for a few seconds.

While Nemesis wasn’t surprised with the stupidity of some of the senshi, Castor generally was. He went on the premise that after a senshi had their first encounter, they would know holding back wasn’t an option. But… sometimes they still did, often with long term disastrous results. What was one life in the face of hundreds? It was a bitter pill to swallow.
Her curse earned her a cocky grin. As her foot shot out, Castor was lucky enough to have it miss him, but what wasn’t lucky for Nemesis, was the fact that he managed to grab her ankle, keeping the limb lifted. “Huh.” Was all he said and that cocky grin showed pearly whites. Sorry, Nemesis, Castor couldn’t help but be amused. Got your foot after all.

Nemesis was at a complete loss as to what to do in this sort of situation. It seemed unfeasible that he'd actually be able to grab her ankle right in the middle of a well-aimed kick. But, he certainly had managed to, and now he was not moving, and she was not moving. How she maintained her balance could be considered a miracle. The seconds ticked by, neither making a movement (mostly because Nemesis had no idea what to do, and Castor was likely still glorifying in his achievement). Her expression turned stony, brows knitting together as she tried to think of how to end this stalemate.
She could try and kick him with her other foot, but with her balance offset she wouldn't get the force she needed to hit him good. He was just out of her reach for her fists, too. Even trying to play coy and cutesy wouldn't work, mostly because he was now married and her dignity would not allow her to do something so embarrassing.
"Let go, or I will rot your ******** face off." It was a viable threat... if she could get her hands in his face. A few more seconds ticked by, and it would seem like Nemesis really wasn't going to do anything. Her options were minimal, but with a certain amount of determination she twisted her body, swinging her left leg into the air and towards the side of his head. Even if it worked, she'd fall flat on her a**.
Her leg had started to cramp up in his grip, so it wasn't like she had much choice.

Well this was pretty awkward. He’d caught Nemesis’s foot and they just…stood…for a while. Of course all good things must come to an end, and when Nemesis threatened him, the senshi of hail dropped her foot like a weight. He liked his face as it was, and was 100% positive his wife and others did as well. No zombie face for him thank you very much. Dropping her foot didn’t come soon enough as he kick came and got him squarely on his skull, snapping his neck and causing him to lose his balance, falling right on his a**.
Grunting, he stood, eyes shut trying to shake off the pain. Nemesis had always been a top fighter, this was just more proof of it than he needed.
