History: Baylin is Weyrborn, and was originally a Candidate - when he aged out, he opted to go into wherhandling. In retrospect, he's glad he didn't Impress, as he's found that this life suits him better than wing drills and mating flights. He is sometimes reluctant to reveal that wherhandling was his 'second choice,' since some handlers disapprove, and he thinks that it shouldn't matter, especially now that he's been at it for ten turns. All in all, he has a rather ordinary past.
He was quite surprised recently when Baylisk inadvertantly led a group of Candidates and riders on a search for the source of a set of 'mysterious' tracks. It's rather funny, really, so much fuss over a wher!
Description: 5'6", with a lightly-muscled build and olive skintone. His black hair is shoulder-length and straight, but he keeps it tied back and out of his way most of the time. Very dark brown eyes. Handsome, overall.
Personality: Easygoing and friendly, Baylin is a very 'go with the flow' kind of guy who can get along with almost anyone. He's very good at working with whatever it is life throws at him, even if it isn't necessarily what he was expecting. There's no sense in dwelling on what you can't change - you just have to suck it up and find another way, and eventually things will turn out the way they're supposed to. There is one definite exception to his accepting personality, and that's his difficulty letting go of relationships.
Baylin loooves the ladies, and lots of them, but fails to grasp the concept of one-night stands. He wants ongoing relationships! Yes, plural. He can never just settle on
one woman, because he can't help but love them all. Since they usually don't love this trait of his, however, he loses more than he keeps. When someone breaks up with him, he'll try for weeks to get them back, apologizing and wooing, although eventually this very focused attention will fade into longing looks and hopeful hinting whenever he encounters the object of his affections.
Extracurricular activities aside, he's generally reliable and takes his job seriously, even moreso after recent events.

Description: braaaaiinz. Personality: Baylisk is highly suspicious of strangers, particularly of men (other than Baylin, of course). He'll give them a brief chance to stand down or prove that they're not a threat, but will snap if they don't heed his warning and get too close without giving him time to assess, though. He's also completely intolerant of the presence of other male whers, and will become aggressive if they come within more than a few feet of him. He doesn't even like them in the same area, but as long as they give him space, his objections will be vocal/display only.
He is a very driven wher, setting himself to any task with a single-minded drive - whether it's watch duty, chasing a green, or inspecting that suspicious flotsam that's washed up on the beach, he's determined to do whatever he gets into his head that he's going to do. Once he's really set on something, even Baylin can have some trouble getting him to back down.
When his handler can get them for him, Baylisk's favorite meal is herdbeast brains.
