Rolling to see who will go first

Feel free to rp as usual randomizing betweeen 1 and 3 for each post, or to pre roll the results and go back and fill the posts in after the fact.
Rolling reference for ease
* For every post in a battle thread make sure you randomize between 1 and 3. The number you get will determine what happened during that turn.
1 - Uh oh, looks like you missed this time!
2 - Yay a hit! Your opponent should subtract 1 hp in their next post.
3 - Excellent hit! Your opponent should subtract 2 hp in their next post.
* Keep track of your HP on the top of each post you make please! When someone reaches zero the battle is over. (You can post once or twice more if you'd really like the two to wish each other well or what not)
If the dice decide to be jerks and the battle just keeps going on and on and on I may step in and ask for you guys to roll dice for some outside event to help out. Hopefully it won't be necessary

Valhalla stared at his next opponent after Babylon, not sure if he was very comfortable with the arrangement. It wasn't that he was underestimating her, it was just... she was young and he'd feel guilty if he made her cry somehow.
"Hello, Hugbell," he greeted rather solemnly, as if internally fighting with himself on whether or not to just... give up the fight from the beginning or see if maybe they could really learn from each other. "How have you been? Keeping up with school? Enjoy it while you can. It only gets harder," he warned, showing her a small smile that was accompanied by an awkward sounding laugh. But really... it did get harder as the years went by. Of course, that also depended on how ambitious someone was, but either way...
"So... I guess we're paired up for this thing, huh? Weren't you paired up with... Castor?" he asked, trying to remember the name on the list. He'd never actually met the guy, but apparently he'd been around for a while. Maybe he hadn't felt comfortable fighting a little girl either. Or maybe she really did kick his butt.
Valhalla eyed the young girl rather warily, his hands moving up to defend himself in case she did attack him. She was an eternal senshi, after all. "Ready?" he asked, stepping forward close enough to swipe out at the ornament.

Hug-bell grinned at Valhalla. "Hi!" She greeted him chipperly after having defeated Castor, which was a lot of work she seemed to be waiting patiently for her next opponent. When Valhalla showed up she had brightened considerably, he wasn't quite as jaded as Castor was or some of the others.
"I've been doing my best." She replied to his questions giving a nod, with a grin she nodded, "Yes I was. He seemed a little more interested in arguing than fighting to be honest." Her hands were behind her back waiting for him to do something, and soon enough he did. She tried to dodge him but she was too slow, he almost got her ornament that was hanging on her side.
"Oh!" She seemed to hold her breath while hoping it didn't shatter. Of course now the game was afoot and she aimed for one of his before moving away. "Do your best!" She said with a nod giving him encouragement.

Valhalla gave her a wary look, not sure if he should really be fighting a little kid like this. "I'm sure he had a lot on his mind," he offered, not knowing the guy very well, or at all even, so he didn't want to jump to conclusions. From what he knew about the guy though, he was a lot like the Zodiac in that they were all haunted by their pasts. Maybe he didn't understand because he didn't have memories of his own past life... if he had a past life... but he couldn't help but think that living in the past was the wrong way to go about things.
Ah well, whatever got him through the day, right?
"Right..." he mumbled in response to Hugbell's encouragement, still not sure if he should be attacking a little girl like this or not. He certainly didn't feel very tough going up against someone half his age.
Which was probably why he wasn't ready for her attack, and he stumbled back in surprise. Okay, so this girl could fight, he would give her that much at least. "Has anyone taught you to fight?" he wondered... Not that he was able to give out advice. He hadn't been taught how to fight at all. He was just... rolling along with everything.
He tried to pick out a good place to aim a kick at her, not wanting to knock her down, but taking out one of her ornaments would be good. He kicked his foot out, thinking he hit her a little harder than he intended, but she didn't seem too horribly hurt... hopefully.
This sucked...

Hug-bell shook her head, "He was more wrapped up in telling me that we shouldn't be fighting. That we are a hindrance and that we need protecting." She seemed irritated at this fact. The more she heard it from the older senshi the more determined she was to prove them wrong.
She missed the fact he aimed a kick at her squeaking when it collided, it stunned her for a second as she heard an ornament break. The girl seemed to frown as she gained her sense back and headed towards him only to trip. "Kinda.... well between watching and learning and having Chaonis help me that one time..."
She pushed herself off the ground. Looking at Valhalla, she put her fists up. Obviously this wasn't going to be as easy as she'd hoped.

"But it's a tournament," Valhalla said with a frown, although he could understand the concern about fighting a child. Yeah, they were young... but they weren't so much of a hindrance as they were just... unfortunately young. It made him feel guilty by association, knowing that they were so young and so willing to risk their lives. And for what? They didn't even know what they wanted to be when they grew up... if they grew up.
He didn't like that Callisto was fighting and she wasn't considered a "chibi"... but still... she was young... They were all so young, the negaverse included.
"Ah, you okay?" he frowned, hesitating now that he'd knocked her down. He hadn't meant to do that. He was trying to just break the ornaments. But again... they wanted to fight. It was better someone who would hold back than someone who would kill them without hesitation, right?

It wasn't his fault she tripped, she'd managed to trip over a rock. Which caused a small problem, the child was looking at Valhalla as he seemed to hesitate.
It was the moment she needed to return the favor of knocking off an ornament causing it to shatter on the ground. The child grinned, "I know it's a tournament. That's why I wanted to sign up." She grinned as she jumped back a few paces.
"Polaris' games are always fun anyways."
