Rolling to see who will go first
1 Squire Niflhel
2 ********* free to rp as usual randomizing betweeen 1 and 3 for each post, or to pre roll the results and go back and fill the posts in after the fact.
Rolling reference for ease
* For every post in a battle thread make sure you randomize between 1 and 3. The number you get will determine what happened during that turn.
1 - Uh oh, looks like you missed this time!
2 - Yay a hit! Your opponent should subtract 1 hp in their next post.
3 - Excellent hit! Your opponent should subtract 2 hp in their next post.
* Keep track of your HP on the top of each post you make please! When someone reaches zero the battle is over. (You can post once or twice more if you'd really like the two to wish each other well or what not)
If the dice decide to be jerks and the battle just keeps going on and on and on I may step in and ask for you guys to roll dice for some outside event to help out. Hopefully it won't be necessary

((Rping this out a bit longer than the actual rolls are to avoid such a short rp.))
Niflhel paused when he saw who he was up against. "Oh hello!" He smiled at the manx, of course having to fight a cat was going to be sort of odd, after all she was kind of small. He crouched down offering his hand for a friendly head rub before they got started. "Looks like we'll be sparing together this round."
He was trying to figure out how to do this since she was such a small animal. This would probably be more like fighting a youma he figured.

********* was not the sort to turn down any sort of pettings or head rubs. She easily leaned into the boy's hand, the ornaments on both sides of her collar clinking slightly against the bell that was located towards the middle. Once he backed away, her green eyes glanced up to him, easily catching the puzzlement in his expression. Letting out an easy airy giggle, she attempted to help ease his mind.
"Goodness... I wouldn't expect you to fight me like this... that would be quite a boring show for any spectators!"
She stepped forward, and within the single step, her height shot up until there was no longer a cat standing there, but a girl with silvery hair and a top hat. She still had the same playful green eyes and upon her forehead was still a silver star. In a well practiced manner, her hat was pulled off, easily revealing her ears were along the top of her head, much like a regular cat. Giving the boy a performer's bow while holding the hat to her chest, she let him know it was time to spar.
"I'm now ready!"

Niflhel's eye's widened as he watched ********* have a growth spurt and turn into a girl! With cat ears!? "Wooaahhh I thought only Zirconia could do that! So weird!" Yeah he was a bit distracted by the fact ********* had just turned into a human.
The ornaments had been attached to his belts around his waist. Something easy for him to defend, and hopefully not in a place he'd have to worry about them. Of course now he just had to figure out how to get ********* ornaments so that way they could actually fight. His only thought was attempting to punch them without hurting the cat.
Which was probably what he'd end up doing, though his eyes were watching for her tail, which actually didn't exist. It was hard to figure out what he was really going to do though when ********* felt about as powerful as Castor in Prince form. So the knight headed towards the cat attempting to aim at one of her ornaments though clearly he was a bit worried about what she could actually do if she was really that powerful.

Never underestimate a cat with a hat. Especially when the hat was not on the cat's head. As the Squire quickly rushed her, her hands which held the top hat soon enough tossed the pale blue striped accessory at his hand before backing up with one bound. She could hear a hollow bonk sound as his hand connected with the object.
"Zirconia's abilities are a bit more special than my own." It was the truth, since Zirconia could go into a full fledged human form, something which would have made life significantly easier for the guardian.
From her new spot, her toes seemed to curl into the dry dirt beneath them. "I appreciate the fact you seem to be trying to be careful with me. You truly understand what the aim of this game is." She winked playfully as if to encourage him to not slow down.

Niflhel's eyes widened when his hand connected with the hat, resounding in a bonk. He looked a little stunned at the action, not actually expecting a hat. He'd have to remember to borrow that for future use.
"Clever." He mused, "I suppose she is, it's still unusual to see a cat just change like that." There was a pause, "Though since you all talk I suppose I should've expected it."
He smiled as she praised him for trying to be careful. "I think it's a bit easier when you're able to train in kickboxing to control how forceful you are with your attacks." He moved again, towards her this time once again aiming for the ornament. She didn't have a hat to throw this time, and his fist connected with the ornament itself.
He grinned towards the manx, "So, mind if I ask why you decided to participate?" He was curious since she seemed to be the only cat around.

"I have heard kickboxing is a good sport to keep one in tip top shape! Of course, I wouldn't know from experience. Cats do not usually take kickboxing classes and all."
Both ears perked up as the sound of an ornament breaking right next to her neck, but aside from such a minor reaction, it didn't seem as if the guardian minded. However, rather than leave herself vulnerable by remaining in place to mourn the loss of her ornament, she instead spun slightly to his side and behind him. From her new location, she lifted up one leg and merely tapped at one of the ornaments upon his belt with her big toe. It wasn't the same amount of force as one would find in a kick, but it still seemed to do its job, knocking it off of its place upon his belt.
As if she hadn't done anything at all, she backed up slightly and conversationally replied "Let's see here... I am participating because it was a mandatory activity for my team."

Niflhel grinned as she moved back. "They are, it would help keep off some of that cake." He chuckled, "Shame there's not a nice place cats could take kickboxing lessons."
He paused when he saw how she managed to take off one of his ornaments. "Impressive and tricky." He chuckled as he side stepped, wondering if she knew the motions. The squire needed time to think what to do next, he didn't want to pull out his chain, however the best method was going to be tricky if that was all it took for ********* to remove an ornament.
"Ah, it's good your team is taking an incentive to this." He smiled, "I bet you guys are getting good training with this."

He stepped to one side, and rather easily her own movements moved to almost mirror it. It was as if she was trying to remain in a blind spot, though more than likely this was not his blind spot at all.
"Being predictable is not a good way for any sort of competition. However, being consistently unpredictable also makes one predictable. So tricky to figure out how to be tricky!"
Upon that final word, the girl quite suddenly shrunk down once more to her usual form and quickly scurried under the boy's legs, as if to taunt him slightly.

Niflhel looked a little confused until ********* actually shrunk down to normal cat size again. Startled he shook his head only now to have a cat scurrying under his feet. Oh bolder dash, "Woah.." He almost tripped having thought about taking another step when ********* ran under his legs and behind him.
Once the boy got his direction he took a breath and sighed, oh this wasn't going to be easy. He was debating on how to best catch a cat when the idea hit him he should just use his weapon. He summoned it from subspace before letting the chain fly towards the ornament, hoping to hit the ornament and not poor *********. He'd have to make sure if it did hit her he could cause it to wrap around her body to keep from hurting her.

There was a slight giggle escaping the animal as she scurried along. That was, until all of a sudden she heard the clink of something metal against the remaining ornament upon her collar. However, it was when she heard the follow up sounds of the ornament breaking and falling to the ground that she stopped in place.
"Ah... it would seem that we are done, Niflhel!" The tailless cat turned and smiled wide at the boy. "I can see you've gotten quite good with your weapon. It was most certainly a pleasure sparring with you."

Niflhel almost frowned, he had been enjoying this spar, he placed his weapon on his belt and nodded, "It would seem so."
He knelt and offered her a hand. "It was a pleasure sparring with you as well, would you like a ride off the battlefield?" He offered her, "I brought a small amount of snacks with me." He grinned, he always carried food but unlike the chibis he expected to have to eat it by himself.

"Oh, no need" she said with a laugh.
"I need to check in with someone... no need for you to be bothered with such." There was a pause, then the cat added "I will just have to call you on the snacks at another time!" With that, the feline zipped off to locate the team captain to see what her assessments were thus far.

Niflhel nodded with a smile, "Alright then! I'll save you some." The squire smiled and moved off the field to see what Polaris was doing and how the rest of the battles were going.
