This thread made me, based on the title alone, actually make me believe that halzy was dressing as a spaceship eating some conspicuous powerups that came to be yesterday, and scaring people for no reason other than being Halzy.
Then I read it and was disappointed... No crazy myth bustahs...

He should totally do it. And teleport away while people recover from the shock.
Like, he should do it a day before releasing the power-up.
Or like 5 minutes before releasing the power up. And when people ask how he's doing, he can say "Item is being sold in stores,
NOW!"
(I still think using rings should revert you to normal size when you change size)
