The air was cool and a general air of peace had fallen over the temple that night after the sun had blessedly set, freeing the world of the desert from its harsh caress. Just about everyone was noticing the heat, and so worried had their parents been that Sergei and his siblings seemed to be taking more and more classes during the evening (similar to a lot of the other kids). It was certainly more comfortable as opposed to the day, when even the temple itself could feel almost like an oven when the sun had reached its apex in the sky.
But the worst was over now, and a soft evening breeze wafted through the corridors of the dens, and the courtyard, before finally shifting through the soft green foliage of the garden. Classes were over, and there was the soft hum of activity as families talked and rested. Cubs bounced through the greenery, playing games or cooling off at the edge of the pond.
Serg had the same idea, but he'd wandered away after a while, pondering their latest lesson, while his siblings had also wandered off, with friends (for the moment), or off to see their mother, which was probably the case with Ulduar and Kuo (or so he assumed). With his numerous siblings, it was a rare thing to get a moment alone, and he slunk to a back corner of the garden to plop down on the cool stone, pawing at a bug...before getting onto what he really sought to do. With a shifty glance about the area, he plucked a few thin, leafy branches from the nearest bush. At once he began to weave them carefully, using deft little claws to bend them into the shape he wanted, and so the leaves faced outward. Then he carefully chose a few little white flowers from another small shrub, and weaved those in as well, laughing softly at what he'd created as he put it atop his head. He hadn't really had the chance to get to play with real crafting materials yet, so he had to make due!

Kuoaih had waited as the wave od cubs rushed out of the classrooms, not wanted to get shoved aside in their flurry to leave and enjoy the outside. It seemed like they were stuck inside more now as the heat of the day worsened. Their classes were held later in the day now, to avoid the blistering sun, and all the cubs acted as if they had been stuck inside for months and were just now allowed a little precious time outside. When most had left he followed, looking around for his siblings. They certainly weren’t hard to spot though he failed to find his twin in the masses that were playing outside. He shrugged it aside and made his way around courtyard, watching the other cubs in their play before he himself moved towards the water. Kuo walked in only far enough for the water to cover his paws and smiled as his reflection in the water’s surface, which rippled out from his legs.

 Mafuane finished up her impromptu bath. She'd been waiting patiently for all the other cubs to vacate the classroom area so that she wasn't smushed in with all the crowd. She'd rather like it if her hair fluff could stay neat for the rest of the "day" since it was too hot to be awake at any other time besides night time.
She took a look around for her sisters and didn't see them right away, but Kuoaih and Sergei were over by the water. That actually sounded like a good idea, it would be nice and cooling and if it were still enough she could check her reflection in it. She pranced over to them and a bewildered/amused/disturbed look pulled her features into a quirky expression.
"Sergei, that looks like something I should be wearing. Not you." Honestly, didn't her brothers know they were boys?

The sound of his sister's voice, so sudden and so close, made Sergei jump. He spun around, and laughed, quickly stepping over and closing the space between them to n** at her side in a playful gesture. "Mafuane, don't startle me like that!" he said, teasing, knowing she probably hadn't meant to. Though his sisters could be brats sometimes (from his perspective at least), he loved them all, and he rolled his eyes at her comment. "I know...I was just making sure it fit right. Here." He scooted close, reaching up with a paw and tipping it over, from his head to her's. It settled to drape over one of her ears, and he snickered. "Perfect."
"Hey look, Kuo came out! Let's go see what he's doing. Maybe we could all play hide n' seek or something!" he said as he looked over along the edge of the pool and caught sight of his twin. He'd felt a little bad for getting separated from him after class, but in the temple you were never really that far apart from anyone else. He padded off, looking back to Mafuane in hopes that she would come. He bounded over to Kuo and approached carefully, not wanting to startle his brother. He stepped in as well, giving a little purr at the feel of the water on his pads, which was heavenly. "Heya Kuo! Sorry I kinda ditched ya after class. It was like a stampede." he said, a guilty chuckle leaving him as his ears drooped.

The water felt so cool on his paws, it was nice. Kuoaih grinned and picked one paw out, watching the water drip from his fur and cause even more ripples in the pool. Once the water had started to settle a little he dropped his paw back in, splashing himself in the face and giggling lightly. Kuo shook the water from his face and looked over to see Sergei stepping in to the water. He smiled lightly as his twin and shook his head. "Oh no, it's alright. It was pretty crazy, I'm surprised no one got squished under all the paws."
