It had been months, and not just by the passing of time in Halloween or the real world. Actual months, and Temes could count them all based on the size of her waist and the feeling of loneliness that ached in her heart and mind. It wasn't as though she were depressed, that wasn't what was keeping her like this. In all honesty Chuppi was pretty content with her day to day moods, she didn't notice any change in anything but paranoia about being left behind. It would have been entirely her fault after all, she'd gotten so homesick that she left the school for a period of time. Her trip back home hadn't been any better.
The parents who had eagerly sent her off hadn't welcomed her home, in fact they were quite upset, and her siblings set about making her visit as miserable as possible. She was bitten, she was chased. Meals were rather hard to get since she had to fight off even more siblings to get to them and her weight didn't aid her at all in trying to be faster. Thankfully she was stronger than the youngest of the group and could easily throw them as needed, but time spent away in a form that was not her own proved that being back with a tail took getting used to. By the time she was tired of being at home and her family was tired of her being there she was sent back to the school, magic pin on her head and all. She'd gotten used to her natural form again, she was born with it after all, but now she had to go back into a form she didn't like. Two legs, no tail, all about she could do was stumble around again and be unable to reach chairs or doorknobs. If she wanted to make her way into the rooms of her friends she wouldn't be able to even open their doors. Speaking of friends. . . .
She hadn't seen any of her friends in so long, but she's heard about them when she dared to venture out. they were growing, moving on into their new years. Belladona and Tybalt were both second years, both had moved in to new circles. Her feelings for both students had not changed, nor had they changed in regards to Lizzy and others she knew, but what of them? Did they still like her company, or was she simply something in the back of their minds? The not knowing how they felt was what made it so hard for the Chupacabra to decide to venture back out and attempt to re-enter the world. But she'd honestly wanted to see them, to be back in their company and to hold their hands. Hugs would also be really welcome, but could anyone have their arms even fit around her? Chuppi's waist had expended and her quills were growing larger making it so much harder for her to squeeze into places that normally hadn't been an issue. She was breaking chairs when she climbed into them, or cracking through floorboards. If it wasn't for the fact that her dorm room was made for a monster it was likely she would have destroyed it by now.
But also, what of the clubs she had joined, formed? Would Tybalt want to come back to the Track and field? Would anyone want to even come back? It'd been so long since she'd actually done anything, certainly by now all the members had moved on to a better club. Chuppi didn't like those thoughts, she liked the Track and Field club. It was a way for her to run and jump, to get to show off to others that she was capable of doing many things too despite her small size and large girth. Inside she wanted to start the club up again and as soon as she found that zeal to join the rest of the student body she'd certainly do it. If anyone returned then they'd be welcomed, if new people wished to join then she'd embrace them. . . but it was hard for the monster to think of that. She was always nervous in such situations, so to suddenly come back from no where and act as though she had never left? Impossible at best, unacceptable at most plausible.
Still, she needed to do something, do anything. Students were out on field trips from what she had heard, and the word was enough to bring a shudder down the spine of the monster. The adventures on the boat had been partly for what kept her hidden away, the fear from it all and the starvation that had come with it. The Chupacabra had never been so afraid as the time she was starving, and that sensation was enough to keep her hidden away from others. A monster wasn't meant to show fear, she was meant to consume FEAR and place it into the heart of others. But....she was just too timid. Too useless, too much not a monster.
She would fix it, Chuppi would fix it! She'd go out and learn something about what was going on, learn to get out there with the students! Temes had failed as a member of the StuCon, but maybe as a normal classmate she would find a way to be accepted back in. Her first goal was to find a way to help others, and then from there it was nothing but the future. . . .
