I think that there are no ponies. The ponies are a lie. A LIE I TELL YOU!
The vampires sparkle because they're of a separate court of vampire, generally referred to as the gay court of vampires. There's also the white court, red court, black court, and jade court.

so ya....I learned I am a "brony" even though I'm female. I know not of this twilight you speak of unless it is a pony.
my boyfriend loves pinky, and I am a dash fan but I do think rarity is amazing too, applejack is a might stubborn and twilight is a book worm. Fluttershy is cool too. I really love em all but Dash is my fav. (though I noticed a huge fanbase for her and pinky)
