Another day or rather, another night and another moment of constant requests and missions. Her target of the late evening was the same unfortunate museum of some time before when she was sucked into a Jirachi's illusion of Paradiso. Her mission was another fetch quest: steal the mystical Julius's Tear which was to be displayed that following morning. About the size of a young woman's palm, the expensive gem would act as a great amplifier for Team Galactic's signals. In other words, it meant no more static when in Pokemon Centers.

Unfortunately, for Cetus, this was a tougher job than expected. Since the before incident, the museum had tripled its security force with more than just guards. They were officers employed for the night . . . making this incredibly dangerous. She was already arrested once before. She wasn't really looking forward to getting arrested again.

Cetus had already hid herself away into the museum's interior, taking the initiative to enter the building midday and stow herself into a unlocked janitorial sect until night shooed away day and claimed its time. As the antique clock down the hall chimed the hour of nine, the Galactic Grunt downed the rest of her tea spiked with brandy and threw off her cheap wig and dress to reveal her night uniform. The bottom of her warm grey coat flipped up against the speed of her running as she fled the tiny keep with quick steps.

"Let's just get this over with."

Officer Edward Anderson swept his flashlight from side to side as he paced his section of the museum. Despite his boredom, he forced himself to pay attention. The museum wouldn't have hired extra officers if they weren't worried about thieves. The fact that they had hired a middle-aged pokemon-less man like himself said they probably weren't too worried. That or they didn't want valuable artifacts demolished by exuberant pokemon or young hotshots. Either way, his job was to watch this section of the museum. His flashlight lit the area ahead of him, a steady metronome sweep.

Officer Reina Sol had just arrived on scene at the Museum, grumbling something about having to work double shifts since the incident with Jirachi and the museum. There just weren't enough officers to go around and it meant she had to loose valuable sleep time. This sleep deprivation, of course, put her in a very fowl mood. She used one of the keys the museum owner had given to the police to enter the building and re-lock it behind her. Pulling a flashlight out of her bag she began patrolling the various corridors of the museum. If past nights were any indication, this would be a very long and boring night.

Grunt Cetus kept her pace even, hoping to not lose too stamina in unfortunate moments where she might get herself into a chase. As she reached the intersection of a long, adjoining hallway, two flashlight beams sparkled both at her right and left sides. The Galactic grunt paused. This was the unfortunate moment she was hoping to avoid. From her left was the image of a young woman, the right, an older man. By just their uniforms alone, it was obvious they were of the officer variety.

Even though her insides jiggled with great trepidation, Cetus played off her discomfiture with a mocking tone. "Hey loves." she grinned with both palms patting her waist. "Busy Combees tonight, hmm?"

Officer Anderson smiled tightly. "Ma'am, the museum is closed. I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to come down town," he said firmly. He didn't really expect it to work, but certain formalities had to be obeyed.

Reina's eyes widened a bit in surprise, she certainly had not expected to encounter someone. With her long trench coat and mocking tone she certainly seemed like a thief "What are you doing here, Civilians are not allowed on the premise after hours. Please escort yourself out our we will be forced to do it for you."

"Huh," Cetus chuckled heartily. "Who knew the fuzz still practiced kindness when dealing with vigilantes?" She brought her hands from her hips up to the air in a light shrug. "If you didn't want to take the time to arrest me when you had the chance, I'll just be taking my leave." The Galactic grunt gave a little salute in both directions than dashed down the corridor from whence she came. "Sayonara coppers!" she laughed as her coat fluttered up like a cape.

"Dang it," Ed muttered, taking off after the fleeing girl. "I'm too old for this stuff!"

Reina groaned, it was too late in the night for this. But regardless she took off after the woman, just because she was tired didn't mean she wouldn't give her all to catch the suspect.

The corridor became rather angry and cut the Galactic Grunt off to an abrupt end. She had passed the keep she hid herself and only had a few doors to spare.

"Ah," she breathed as wind caught itself in her throat. "Which one . . . ?"

Seeing the two officers near upon her, her sea green eyes turned to her left and took the last closed barrier embedded into the wall.

"What's behind door number three-?!" she yelled as she brought up her foot and kicked the door in. The lock gave way under the pummel and swung open with a harsh slap to the adjacent wall. She slid in, slammed the door shut, and fixed the lock the best she could (her kick had done in the mechanism more than she had realized).

"Crap." The room she chose to escape into was the men's bathroom, urinal and all. "How the heck will I get out of this?"

Ed slid to a stop and looked at the door. Men's room. Oookay then. Pulling his nightstick, he rapped sharply on the door. "Ma'am, I'm afraid I really do have to ask you to come on out of there. You can't be in the museum when its closed, and I'm sure you're a real nice lady, but rules say I gotta arrest you. Don't make this any harder than it has to be." Really, why did this have to happen on his shift?

Reina growled in frustration, she was getting tired of this. She pushed the older gentleman aside, he didn't look like he was going to do anything to get the woman out of there so she would do it for him. She didn't bother with anymore words, words were wasted on criminals. She inspected the door, the lock was already damaged, so i wouldn't be hard at all to get it open. She took a few steps back then, summoning all her strength, brought her leg up and kicked the door soundly, breaking the lock further and causing the door to swing inward.

Ed let himself be shoved out of the way without protest. Admittedly, he did tend to play the "nice cop" when given the chance, partially because with a partner like Growlithe, there wasn't really much opportunity to play bad cop. Seemed like that was going to be the case with this girl too. And he didn't even have to say "sic 'em." Ed smiled to himself and settled in to wait for the moment to call off the girl. Criminals always were easier to deal with after the bad cop had a turn.

Any room, no matter how incredibly small or large, has an escape route. This path, however, was one of the dangerous sort. Cetus would've had it a bit easier if she fought her way passed the two officers and slid into into another adjoining room or ran for it. Who said she wasn't fond of challenges, though? During the imminent seconds that ticked on by, the Galactic Grunt picked up the aluminum garbage canister and swung is hastily at the double windows past the twin sinks. It shattered the fragile glass, creating an open route for her escape.

When the young female came dashing heroically in with hopes of an arrest, the once captive vigilante was climbed her way out. Childishly, she blew a raspberry to the duo and fired her wrist grappling hook to a erected flagpole a few feet away. Though lacking in the flag department, it served as a great beacon for the treble. It wrapped around the thin base twice and with a sharp descent, the grunt cascaded through the air and dropped down a story to the below floor. She caught footing onto the ledge of a window, peered inside, and saw she was much farther from the jewel's display than realized. With a heavy huff, she banged and broke the square of the window's paneling, turned the lock, and crouched inside. She was now walking in a cabinet of the museum full of evidence of the Cretaceous period. It appeared lacking of any source material; all those fossils that once existed there were brought to life by that avaricious Jirachi. Even so, there was probably something of worth there to take back with her and sell online or something.

Hearing the thief-girl escape out the window, Ed was ready to call it a loss and call in a sketch artist or maybe get someone to check the security cameras to get a picture of the criminal out there. As far as he could tell, she had been breaking in and hadn't had a chance to steal anything yet, so all they had her on was B&E and resisting arrest. They'd put her picture on the morning news, maybe even the evening news, and see if someone turned her in. He'd fill out his paperwork and that would be that. Then he heard the crash below and headed for the stairs with an internal curse. She'd just escaped, why was this nutcase breaking back in?! He was too old for this craziness!
