Gazing off into the vast blurriness in front of him - he couldn't think of what to do from here. Karma had played a great roll in him choosing to leave the pride he had felt accustomed to, his paws still feeling comfortable in the outskirts of the now deserted land of the Kunanda - everyone heeding the idea to of flight, leaving only a few stragglers at the boarders.

It wasn't that he didn't want to leave. Every ounce of his body did - he was just terrified that he would never find his way, his useless eyes lidding a bit as he mulled over his options, which were very short. If anything . . . it was nicer to think now-a-days, no one to bother him while he mulled over life's mysteries.

Nusurika was not happy, not happy at all. His entire life had been a quiet one, left to his own devices. His fur had never made him an attractive choice for a mate and it seemed to have him overlooked for other minor duties males might be called for.. and he'd always been OK with that. Now his happy, quiet little world was turned upside down and he couldn't even find his sisters to bother.. so he was following a friend. Well, a familiar figure.

"H-hey!" he called, nearly running into Radhia in his hurry to catch up to someone, "Where are you going?"

It was clear in his voice he needed an answer, any answer.

Gold ears swivelled backwards in reply to the voice that piped up from behind him, the lion showing no move to turn around, his eyes still staring in to the nothingness. Head tilted, he waited until the paw steps closed in and halted, his tail flickering softly.

"I'm. . . not sure, was I going the wrong way?" he murmured, throwing his head over his shoulder a little, not sure where the voice was coming from, ears swirving again. "I was thinking about finding myself, and a new home, but I'm not sure where to start. Do you have any ideas?" He asked, his confusion and uncertainty of what he was doing oozing into his voice, before a worried smile showed up on his face.

"Seems harder than it looked, doesn't it. . ."

It sounded like this lion, whoever he was, had no better idea than Nusurika where he was going- though it was odd that he didn't even look back to who was talking to him. Unsettling, even. Nusurika nervously walked himself around to stand half beside, half before the other lion.

"No, no ideas," he answered lamely, "Away from here, but where is there to go? The jungle is all I've ever known."

Nusurika was raised by pride lions, he didn't even properly learn about where his mother was from to have any ideas about what might have been outside the pride. He didn't even really know who his mother was, and it was probably for the best.

Finally turning his head, he stared at the blob of brown and white that had started the conversation with him, his eyes never focusing anymore - a curse passed down from his father before he left him alone. Giving the stranger a soft smile, he nodded to him, agreeing with what he had said. "Yes, better than here. I've only known this area, it's the last thing I ever saw." He stated, looking down at his paws, shuffling the grass underneath, the feeling comforting to him, before looking up again.

"But, I heard once from a passing lion, of other prides, those who worship the fires and night, one that raised itself from the swamps. I'm thinking of finding my way to them, maybe I'll find myself." He rambled, before looking over. "But I'm not sure how I will do it. I've lost my sight, you see." he admitted, looking down, as if embarrassed.

Immediately upon meeting Radhia's eyes, Nusu knew something was wrong with his vision. He couldn't figure out what exactly but it was obvious he wasn't focused on him properly- but he was talking to him, not at him.. something had to be wrong with his eyes. That meant.. it was more dangerous for him to go off on his own. It was lucky Nusu had picked him to follow after. As soon as Radhia said the jungle was the last thing he saw, it was confirmed and Nusurika couldn't help but sigh.

"I'll go with you, let me come too," he said, managing not to stammer despite himself, "I don't know where to go, I don't know where else I could belong but I'm willing to look."

He had to be, there was nothing left here.
