Once more happily away from the bustle of academy life Uaithne found himself venturing out further, into the woods, finding it to be quite peaceful. There was nothing better then being out this far, where there were few people other then himself hanging out, enjoying himself to the fullest. There was a nice breeze at the moment, one that rustled the overhead leaves, making it sound like a rather nice, natural musical number. He glanced up at trees for a moment, stretching out, then gave a bit of a sighing sound.

"Alright, lets see what I can find." He murmured to himself, glad for the distraction. He was hoping the hunger he'd felt building up with him would ease off now that he was far from so many people. So much magic swirling around him always left him feeling rather dizzy... lifting a hand up to chewed on the nail on his thumb as he headed forward, carefully picking his path so as not to step on any of the plants other then grass, knowing that it would be able to take his weight in a manner that some of the more delicate plants couldn't. The last thing he wanted was to accidentally crush any of them, that would just leave him feeling more then a little guilty.

As he moved along he sniffed at the air, taking in the fresh scent of the air and the sweet scent of various plants that were growing around him, and cause the distinct scent of one in particular. Lavender. He turned toward where he smelled that one at, moving slowly toward the source. It was a nice scent, one that had always helped him to sleep when he was little, and one that he would rather appreciate having in his room. He could put it on the nightstand that sat next to his bed and hope that it would help him sleep better at night. He was new to the academy still and found it to be a little strange to be away from the home that he'd been living at since he could remember. Maybe making his new, temporary home smell like his true home would make it more comfortable for the duration of his stay there.

"Ah-ha, there you are beautiful." He said in a happy tone of voice, distracted for the moment from his other worries as he started toward the purple colored flowers.

Cedar was still adjusting to living in Makai. She was enjoying herself, but she felt as if she had been neglecting her friends, the ones that helped raise her. So the young with had made a point to try and spent time in the forest. And the further she went the more... Welcomed she felt. Just like the male witchling, Cedar had been drawn by the scent of the lavender. But she sat against a nearby tree and just listened to what the plant life had to tell her.

As she spoke softly, she heard the foot steps of the other. She turned her head and she watched as he came to view.

"I'm not to sure if you should be calling a stranger beautiful..." She teased him, knowing full well that he was speaking to the flower. "But she's grateful for the compliment." Cedar could have been easily missed, she always seemed to blend in with the world around her around this time of year. The leaves were changing colors and falling. She sat with her back on the tree trunk, and her legs together, knees facing the right.

Uaithne gave a jolt when he heard the voice of a person that he wasn't even aware of there and a female at that. Here he'd thought that he was alone but glancing over toward her he could tell why he missed her, she seemed to match the look of the autumn plants in a manner that he found himself appreciating. His cheeks reddened a little when he went over what she'd just said to him, "Ah! Oh... well I was..." He trailed off, shaking his head and just gave a bit of a smile instead as his attention turned back to the flower that he'd been looking at. It wouldn't really do to tell her that he'd been talking about the flower, huh? He wouldn't want to insult her after all, especially when she'd thought that he was calling her beautiful. Which wasn't to say that she wasn't but that hadn't been his intention. Best to keep it to himself he decided, that way she would remain happy which he would prefer.

He glanced the girl's way again, recognizing her powers as being more then his own and he couldn't help but to find himself curious about it and about her... partly because her magic caused his hunger to return. It was just an twinging in the back of his mind and something that he hoped he would be able to ignore. Best to concentrate on other things he thought to himself as he turned his attention to the flower he'd been earlier compliment, shrugging out of the pack he carried on his back, and set about taking out the various things that he was going to need for the transplanting of it. A pot, a small hand held shovel, a small cloth bag with some plant food, and a flask of water.

"Mmmm, smells really nice." He complimented the flowers, as always talking out loud to the plants but wondered if perhaps he should try to bring the girl in as well? He wasn't really sure what to say though. How did one begin a conversation with another witch, especially one that they'd met on accident? He glanced her way, struggled a moment, then said the first thing to come to mind, "Nice day today." Commenting on the weather was always easy enough.

Cedar could help but laugh gently. She watched as the boy struggled and she started to feel bad. "Oh... I'm sorry. I was just teasing you, I knew you were talking to the flowers." She got to her feet and stretched, her back cracked and she walked toward him. "Oh yes, the weather is always nice this time of year." She returned his conversation lazily, and tucked her dress under her knees when she bent down.

"But the flower does thank you for the compliment. Are you going to grow it yourself?" Cedar asked, nodding toward his tools. Cedar liked when people took interest in the plants, and someone like this boy, seemed to be a bit more in tune with nature then the average person.

The flower thanked him? He couldn't help but to perk up a bit, finding this girl to be quite interesting all of a sudden when she spoke in such a manner. Did that mean she didn't think him odd for talking to the flowers? She must not and on top of that seemed as though she knew what it was thinking, something that he couldn't quite do so he often had to just hope he was doing well by his floral friends, "Ahh, yes. It's a scent that reminds of home. Gram used to put small bundles of dried lavender in the pillow cases." He wasn't at all a fan of plucked flowers but since it was his Gram he could never really protest too much, "I thought I would bring this plant back to spruce up the room I am staying in while at the academy." He explained, giving a smile as he gently ran his finger tips over the pretty purple blooms.

"It's always been a scent that has helped me sleep easy." When it came to talk about plants he always found it to be far easier to find his voice, it was anything outside of his realm of expertise where he failed, "Do you like lavender?" He found himself asking, lifting his bright eyed gaze for a moment toward her, a little curious about the answer. He tried not to but he really did end up judging people by the way they acted towards the plants that meant so much to him. Those that gave plants little to no regard weren't really the sorts that Uaithne wanted to spend to much time with... though he didn't think this girl was that sort.

When she looked over at him, she propped her elbows on her knees and she listened to this story. His grandmother? She had to wonder what her grandmother was like... She had never gotten a chance to meet hers. "Well that sounds very pleasant. I think it makes sense. You should make sure you maybe continue the tradition." She nodded softly.

"Some plants, don't mind being picked. When you pick one, another will grow in it's place. And Lavender's don't mine it. They know they're scent is enjoyed. Though I personally have other scents I prefer... Lavender is very strong." She glanced down at the flower and then back up at him. "I prefer Lavender as an accent to other smells." She tapped her chin lightly.

She looking back down at the flower and she leaned forward a bit. "Yes... It's happy you're taking it." She nodded some, and then wondered. "Do you have a nature based magic?" She didn't feel like she needed to really wonder about the witchling, but it was always better to ask then just assume.

Some plants didn't mind being picked. There was a thought that he had never before considered, always having been so careful with all of his plants and really the only ones that he'd ever trimmed back were his roses since not doing so was bad for them. He gave a little nod, "I see, I will have to keep that in mind when tending to my garden back home." When you pick one another will grow in its place. It was an interesting thought and one that he would have to think about.

Uaithne seemed to get a happy sort of smile as he was told that the lavender was happy he was taking it, it was something that helped him as he set about the task of carefully digging it up, doing his best not to hurt it in any way, "I am glad that it's happy to come with me." He said, looking at the flower fondly, "I will be sure to take excellent care of you, I promise." He told the flower as he moved it from the ground and into the pot that he had brought for it.

When talk turned to magic he lifted a hand up to push a lock of his messy green hair behind his ear and gave a little nod of his head, "Yes, that is where my strength lies when it comes to magic, though more toward plants then anything." He explained, giving the flower a bit of water once it was safely in the pot, "It's not the only reason I am interested in plants though, my real reason for it is because they are my friends." He was sure that it sounded silly but that was how he saw it, he'd mostly stuck to the grounds of his home back in Clarus Arbor, his Gram not letting him wander to far for fear of Reapers coming for him for no other reason then because he was majin.

Gathering his things back into his pack, putting it over his shoulder, Uaithne pushed up to his feet with the pot held to his chest with one arm, "I spent a lot of my time as a child with my plants back home, always talking with them, so I feel a little protective toward them." He said, flushing a little bit at such a confession. Hopefully the witch didn't find him to sound to foolish or childish he thought to himself.

When he didn't go on about his magic and had packed up his things, Cedar took that as a note that he would be leaving shortly. "Well it's fair enough. They think of you has their friend too." She smiled at him. standing up herself. Her knees ached a bit, and she stretched out some.

"I can understand the hardship of change. I use to run a farm in Clarus, and now...." She smiled, "I own a little shop in Makai, selling the produce from the farm." Looking over at him. "It's good that you're adapting."

"Shall we walk together?" She offered as she make to head back the way he had come.

Uaithne gave a rather happy sound in his throat when Cedar told him that the plants thought of him as their friend, it was something that made him hug the now potted lavender plant to his chest, breathed in his the scent of it, then smiled. He was never happier then in this very moment, "That is so nice to hear, I think I will need to work harder with them, maybe one day I will be lucky enough to hear their voices as well." He said, gazing down at the flower, trying to concentrate really hard on it so that he could try to hear its voice. No use yet.

Turning to look over at the witch as she told him where she used to live and where she worked now he gave a bit of a smile, "A shop in Makai? That must be exciting." He wonder what it might be like to run a shop... of course the biggest problem with that was the fact that he would have to deal with the customers and he wasn't really the best when it came to people. It seemed to be quite easy to talk with Cedar which made him glad that the two of them ran into each other out here even if their initial meeting had startled him just a little bit.

"Sure, walking back together would be nice. I am heading back to my place near the academy, where are you heading?" He asked, wondering how far they would be going together on this walk. If they had time he might ask her how she learned to hear plants or if it were something that came to her naturally. There was so much about that ability that appealed to the young witchling in training that he couldn't help but to be curious about the workings of it.

"It is pretty exciting, mostly because it signified the start of my new life. And I get to meet so many other people." She relished the thought. "I'll be heading to Mikai, the store always needs it's owner." She laughed lightly. "So I'll walk with you until you we need to part ways." The boy was pretty good company, actually.

"I'm hope I'm not crossing any boundaries asking this, but how do you view Majin? Because there's a group for a Majin Friendly Movement that will be meeting... If you were interested." Anyone could seem nice until the subject of Majin came up... But Cedar would never hold that against someone.

She called it the start to her new life and it made him think more seriously on where he was going with his own. Even up until this point he had been thinking only about heading back to his childhood home in Clarus Arbor, back to the place that he had spent a lot of time, and little more. Hearing that she had a shop that needed her because she was the owner, it made him realize he really did need a more solid direction, didn't he? Just running on home the moment he graduated wouldn't do him a lick of good if he did nothing else but stay home to grow his flowers as he had when he was still a child. He really couldn't just be the village recluse, could he? Alright he supposed that he could but he would learn nothing from it and would lose out of the opportunity to meet more people like Cedar.

As she suddenly spoke of hoping not to cross any boundaries he found himself looking at her curiously and when she asked him how he viewed the Majin he gave the slightest flinch. What came next though allowed him to relax a bit, a group that was pro Majin? The idea that there was such a thing, and that they would be meeting, it was something he found himself a little curious about, "I have no issues with those Majin that aren't for causing problems and hurting others." Or those that gave the rest of the Majin a need to hide themselves as Uaithne was doing now. Even if she were a part of the movement she spoke of he had hidden his true nature so long that he didn't out himself easily, "I might see about checking out the movement, it sounds informative." Perhaps he could meet others like himself as well as humans that not only tolerated his kind but perhaps even liked them. That would be a rather nice change of pace he thought to himself, giving a bit of a smile, "Thank you for letting me in on such an interesting group."

Cedar smiled at him, a bit relieved to find that he was interested. Those that disliked Majin could sometimes became aggressive, and Cedar preferred to avoid those confrontations. "Well good! I get worried talking to people because you know how they can react. But no one will tell me what to believe, I make my own choices. But I dislike the conflict that can come with it." She laughed lightly and dug out a small piece of paper to give him with the information.

As they walked, Cedar could start to hear the bustle of the town, and some buildings were coming into view. The walk back didn't seem to take as long as the walk in. Her olive eyes glanced over the boy with her, and she figured it was because of his company.

Uaithne couldn't help but to respect Cedar for what she was saying, that she wouldn't follow the popular opinion about the Majin about that she would make her own choices. Now if only more people could be like her he thought to himself, he'd likely be less apt to hide himself and what he was were more people open to the Majin but that wasn't the world they lived in, not yet anyway. Perhaps the movement she spoke of would change all of that... he supposed that only time would tell, "I am the sort that wants to keep an open mind about those around me but I understand that not everyone is such." He said, there were those that he was sure would never care for the Majin, it was just something that one had to understand and be wary of. At least it was good to see that someone with similar tastes in magic wasn't one of those people.

As the their walk got them closer and closer to town, the tallest of the buildings coming into view over tops of the smaller trees that stood at the edge of the forest Uaithne steps started to slow before they halted all together, "I want to thank you for the invitation and for keeping me company but this is where we part ways. I think I am gonna spend a bit more of down time in the forest before heading back to school." He knew that he should likely be studying a little bit harder, it was just so easy to be distracted and led astray when living next to such a vast forest with so many interesting species of plants, "It was very nice meeting you and I hope we cross paths again." That that upcoming meeting of the Majin Friendly Movement, perhaps he added silently to himself.
