(Note: Backdated a bit ~ Before Iris' injury)
She had been eager to return to the Asteroid. There was no question about that. Yet, when she got there, the problem soon enough arose. What was she actually going to do now that she was here? She didn't feel like sitting around waiting for memories to show up while she melted in the sunlight. And Iris didn't feel like wandering around aimlessly. Surely, she could go pay her respects to Aque, but that wasn't something she wanted to do. It was too depressing to think about the fact that funky llama animal was dead. Plus that would only take up a small amount of her time.
For a moment, she began to pace, as Sailor Iris was prone to do when she had a lack of things to do and too much energy to burn off. Back and forth, forth and back, she walked, trying to think of something to do. It was after about 3 minutes of this pacing and intense thinking that she remembered something.
Just before she had located Aque's skull, she had done a handstand. She also remembered from one of her first memories that the past ********* mentioned something along the lines that the girl knew how to walk on her hands.
"...wait... does that mean?" The senshi glanced to the ground beneath her, sand having been kicked around out of her paced-out pathway. Can I walk on my hands now? It wasn't like Iris hadn't wanted to try practicing ever since she had heard she used to know how. Maybe when she had remembered how to stand on her hands upon a moving animal's back, maybe that was all she needed to remember to be able to pull off hand-walking?
The most intimidating step was always the first one. The one where she'd figure out if she'd look stupid or if she'd be able to pull of something silly like this. Of course, in the back of her mind, she was cursing out about how silly this was. Ridiculously silly. With a deep breath, she reassured herself with a few words. "It ain't like anybody's 'round t'see ya!"
With that, she leaned forward and set her hands firmly into the sand. She attempted to kick her legs up into the air, which instantly made it so her hands buried themselves deeper into the sand because of the added weight. Her legs went up, but then rather quickly went down on the other side, causing the blonde to essentially land flat on her back in the sand.
She grumbled out "Oh god, this is f*ckin' stupid!" Without even thinking about it, she already whipped out her phone and rashly began to prepare to go back home.
It wasn't until she had reappeared in her bedroom that she realized she had literally just wasted her weekly visit to her past home world.
She'd be banging her head against a desk for about a week.
