Halloween night. Most people stayed out and did things into the late hours of the night, but not Asch. This night had truly sucked, and he'd come back to the base early with another Rocket who similarly didn't care to stay out. First there was the party, having been practically forced to wear a princess costume. Then Natalia had showed up, followed by Izaya's persistent questioning. Then he'd gotten stuck out in the rain with Natalia. The whole ordeal had left Asch drenched, tired, and mentally taxed.
Asch was almost dragging his feet when he finally got back to his room. His boots making squishing noises as he walked in, looking terrible. His normally beautiful hair was a very dark red from being soaked, and hung in stringy wet mess, pieces of it sticking to his face. Saber followed him, looking more like a drowned overgrown rat than a Zoroark.
As soon as they were in the room, Asch tossed his sword to the side, followed by boots and so on. He left a trail of clothes as he made his way to the bathroom to take a shower, with every intent to make it as hot as he could stand. He couldn't suppress the shivering any longer. He was wet and cold, and now he just wanted to shower and get warm, then dry.
Tyke had been curled up on his bed in the corner and suddenly looked up, blinking groggily at all the noise. His mouth opening in a wide yawn before he watched Asch practically stumble into the bathroom.

Vany'n, who had been allowed to be out of her ball a lot more often then she used to be while in her captor''s room, was laying down in her usual spot under the desk when Asch came back into the room.
The door opened, causing the Vaporeon to rise her head off of her legs, eyes opening quickly, the usual rattle of her jewelry joined her sudden movement. Blinking her large eyes when she saw the state both Asch and Saber were as they entered the room. It must be raining... or they went for a swim, or, judging from the unhappy looks the two of them wore, they were not swimming willingly.
Her brow furrowed, curiously eying saber who was looking half the size he usually was, while Asch went into the bathroom. "I thought I smelled rain..." Oh, she missed the rain.

Steam was soon rolling out of the bathroom, the door left cracked open in Asch's hurry to get into the shower. Tyke was soon up on his paws and trotting over to Saber to greet his big brother.
The Zoroark had shaken himself out again when arriving to HQ and his mane was an even spikier mess than usual. His gaze rested on the door to the bathroom for several moments before turning to Vahy'n as she spoke.
"" Saber had not enjoyed it, but there was little to be done about that.
Asch didn't stay in the shower very long this time. Soon enough he stepped out, toweled off, changed into dry clothes and was back into the room with his hair wrapped in a towel. Saber and Tyke watched him cross the room and flop on the bed, face first into his pillow.

Vany'n also watched when Asch came out, frowning softly, but when he flopped down on the best and stayed there, her fins flattened back a little, tilting her head.
It wasn't hard to see that something must be bothering him, he didn't normally act like this, scooting forward just a little before she pushed herself to her feet in a crouch, and leaned forward, to stick her head out from under the desk.

After a couple minutes of laying like that, Asch eventually rolled over onto his back. Placing an arm across his forehead he gazed at the ceiling silently, with the exception of a single sigh.
Tyke blinked once as he watched his master, looking up at Saber questioningly. "" The Zoroark grunted lowly. ""
"Dammit!" Asch then shouted randomly. He was clearly upset. His arm now covered his eyes while the other dangled loosely off the side of the bed. He was such an idiot. He had hoped for a brief moment that maybe Natalia knew who he was. Of course she didn't. To think that was stupid. And then he allowed himself to get stuck with her in the rain.

She lowered her head when he burst out in frustration, glancing over at the other two pokemon before sitting down, and lifting her head back up. She asked. hearing mention of a girl that he met... was it another Rocket? what could have upset him like this?

He should have left and not said anything to her at all. She shouldn't have even let her see him. How could he have been so careless? She wasn't his anymore, he knew that. That life was gone. He wasn't Luke anymore, he was Asch.
But...
Asch's gaze shifted to the side towards the nightstand next to his bed. He pushed himself up enough to reach over to the nightstand and open the small drawer, pulling out a picture that looked to be printed on paper. It was a picture of Natalia, that he'd come across while reading over a Grande Ile online newspaper. He hadn't forgotten their time together, even if she probably had. And he still cared for her. It was that weakness that caused this mess to begin with.
"" This said as Saber moved towards his and Tyke's bed in the corner and settled down on it so he could rest and still keep watch over Asch.

A Party? That didn't sound very Rocket like, but then again, Vany'n didn't know a lot about Rockets... everything she thought she knew was based off of anger and hatred toward their cruelty. And while she still despised team rocket, she had started to see that they were still human with the time she had spent with Asch.
She asked, glancing from Asch over to the two dark types. If Vany'n had to make a guess, she would have to guess that Asch was dealing with something from his past... maybe even before Team Rocket?

"" Saber replied. That had been the second he'd been asked that this evening.
"" Tyke replied thoughtfully, to which Saber nodded in confirmation.
Saber was then quiet for several moments, contemplating something. He looked to be indecision, trying to decide whether he should mention whatever it was on his mind or not. Eventually he spoke again. "" Although Saber considered Asch to be "her human" now, he knew she didn't feel that way yet.

That was a long time for anyone to be together, no wonder they were loyal, they were young though, since what she gathered. The boy himself...couldn't be older then Rosie was...
How could something like this happen to someone so young. She could sense the weight this boy had on his shoulders, so angry, he didn't smile often. He was to young for that kind of life.
Vany'n let the moment of silence continue, not really planning to add to the conversation. But the mention of 'her human' caused The Vaporeon's head to snap up very sharply, her golden eyes locking on the Zoroark. She stayed like this for a good length of time before she frowned softly.

Even at the Vaporeon's reaction, Saber stared at her unwaveringly. ""
Tyke just blinked in confusion, not sure what this was all about. But he was curious about one thing and sat next to his brother with a tilt of his head. "" It seemed strange that his master would be bothered by a girl.
Staring at Natalia's picture for several long minutes as the Pokemon talked, he eventually put it away to lie back on his bed and stare blankly in the ceiling. The boy letting his thoughts about the evening consume and torment him.

Vany'n remained as she was, staring back at Saber quietly, She didn't stay like this for long, before she flattened her fins back, turning her head away and quietly bowing her head. was barely heard from the blue pokemon. Thank you for what though? for telling Vany'n her young human was well, for not hurting Rosie, perhaps it was even sarcastic. Rubbing the fact that Vany'n was away from Rosie in her face. it wasn't certain.
It seemed to dampen her mood a little though.

Saber said nothing to Vahy'n's words of thanks, letting her take his words however she wished. Instead he turned his attention to Tyke as he pushed him for more information. The Zorua knew very little compared to his older counterpart. " "
"" Tyke said softly and perked up his ears. "" He knew his master needed more friends. He didn't talk to many people really, except Miss Aila, Miss Faleen, and a handful of others.
Saber nodded, ""
The Zoroark's gaze when back to the Vaporeon. "" Yet here Vahy'n was moping about hiding under the desk all the time.

Vany'n took her eyes away from the wall she had been staring at while her thoughts only served to trouble her more. Glancing over at the larger of the dark types when he seemed to have addressed her. She was correct.
His words drew nothing but a still face from the water type, her fins spreading out a little. His ignorance would have been forgivable, This pokemon, and the man who owned them, no, anyone in this room but Vany'n knew Rosie. vany'n helped raise her. Of course Rosie was happy, but that didn't mean Rosie wasn't hurting. Holding that pain inside of her, but never letting it cripple her. that was her young mistress' most powerful trait, Rosie could always keep going, and always keep smiling, even if it was for the sake of others. she asked, with her eyes narrowing softly. Despite how sour she could have said this, her voice remained calm, and level. the refined, always elegant pokemon eying the dark types for another moment, before standing up and walking over to the other side of the room, sitting down by the desk again.

Saber's mane bristled slightly at Vahy'n's last comment.
"" The Zoroark's voice held indignation, but he kept it quiet so as not to disturb Asch.
Tyke's ears flattened, not really liking this conversation. ""
