(RP is only open for Steven, Guy, Dith, Luke, Izumi, Shizou, Seraphine, Citrine, Rosie (and if I miss anyone let me know!)
A week had passed since Steven had invited the group of Kodo and Grand Ile trainers to his home region for a proper chance at training their pokemon.
It had been a crazy week, getting everything ready to go. but they had managed on time, and by the morning, the group was assembled at the docks, traveling gear ready, and belts holding their prepared team of pokemon. They were ready to go, nervous, excited, and hopeful. this was the first step any of them could take in getting ready for a long, and hard fight.
The boat ride was the most relaxing part, for the day they didn't have much to do but sit back, and talk, and just enjoy it while they could. Rosie seemed to be enjoying herself quite a bit. having her Pikachu out, Kiss Kiss. The trainer had a new outfit on for traveling, something she had designed herself, and had made before they left. It was a more mature look for her, getting rid of the cute little skirt, and replacing it with a longer... half skirt (butt cape as Tawny would say <3) Her boots and pants were styled and designed very much for riding purposes, was were the long, fingerless gloves that were now over her bare arms.
Rosie didn't look as much like a the young trainer as she used to be anymore.
By the time the sky was starting to take on an orange glow, the captain of the ship made an announcement that they were starting to approach land. This drew many passengers onto the deck of the ship, pressing against the railing to look out at Hoenn.
Rosie was among them, with an equally impressed Kiss on her shoulder. "Guys, its Hoenn!"

Steven had been sitting quietly in a deck chair, attending to business on his laptop when the call for land had come over the speakers and then Rosie pointed it out. Lifting his gaze to the young girl, the champion then stood and walked to the railing to stand next to the trainer, the wind whipping through his silver hair.
"That's Slateport City," he told her and anyone else that came to join them. "It is the largest port city in Hoenn. You would enjoy it, Rosie. There is an open air market, an aquatic museum, regular contests, and a large beach. There is plenty to do in that city and it's a very popular vacation spot."
As the buildings became more clear, he pointed to a tall building located on the beach front. "We'll be staying in that resort hotel for a couple days before heading for Rustboro."

It had been a terribly long week of waiting, but the day finally came when the band of trainers set foot on the boat and began their journey towards the region of Hoenn for their training. The wait truly was worth it, Guy noted, as he opened his previously closed eyes and gazed upon the brave new land steadily increasing in size on the horizon. He walked over to the boat railing and tried to get a better look at the region. It was a tad difficult to see due to the setting sun, but even then it looked magnificent. Guy had read a few books in his time about the different regions of the world, and Hoenn always seemed like such a lovely place with its vast seas and islands, its forests, and its famous Mt. Chimney. It was a new place of infinite possibility.
A smile graced Guy's countenance as the new region slowly pulled into view. Anonymes, per usual, was at his master's shoulder, an elated expression visible on his face just from being around the swordsman. On Guy's other side stood his Zoroark Oki with a blank, serious expression on the Dark Pokemon's face. Guy's newest Pokemon, the Jolteon Leucetius, was safely in his Pokeball, and for the time being he would remain there. Guy certainly did not want that evil bundle of electricity running around when they were currently surrounded by very conductible seawater.
"It looks amazing," Guy commented to Steven as they neared what the former Champion said to be Slateport City. This excursion would be a challenge, but somehow it didn't really feel like they were on a training mission with the purpose to become stronger to tackle the problem of Team Rocket. Right now, it just felt like a vacation with friends, and it truly was a pleasant feeling to have. Guy could feel Anonymes clinging to his right arm with excitement, and even Oki looked to be impressed with the sight before them. Surely this would be a brilliant success.

Citrine had found it very hard to wait a week. Even with the prospect of all her new friends, and all the things she would see, it was so hard to wait. But they were finally on the boat! Citrine had found other trainers to battle on the boat, and had a couple friendly matches before wandering, looking for her group. Nornsteen was hovering behind her, holding onto one of her long tails of green hair.
When the call of land came over the PA system, Citrine rushed up to the deck and half threw herself against the railing to peer out. Nornsteen had to pull her hair back so she didn't go over the edge. "Woooooooooow!" She exclaimed while Nornsteen scolded her for being reckless. "We're finally here." They were finally here. That means it was almost time to train. And then what? Then they went after Team Rocket?
Citrine folded her arms on the rail as she listened to Steven with the others. Her amber red eyes slid over to the resort, and she couldn't hide the chid-like wonder that filled her face. "We're staying there...?" she murmured and watched the city grow larger. "Are we going to start training right away?" She kind of... wanted to see the city. Even just a little. But she knew she couldn't. With a sigh, she rested her chin on her folded arms, and watched the port grow closer still.

Izumi wasn't so eager to press against the railing with the rest of the people. She was content to sit on one of the deck chairs, under a shade umbrella, with white lines of sunblock on her cheeks and nose--Or rather, she was too timid to do anything but sit there. That was how most of the boatride had been, everyone was very excited while Izumi sat meekly on the sidelines watching things go on.

Shizuo leaned against a wall of the ship, standing close to Izumi. He was wearing his normal clothes, right down to his sunglasses, though he brought actual traveling clothes with him to train in. He looked up when the others started talking about Hoenn but didn't move over to check it out. At his feet lay Kasuka, an Espeon that his little brother gave him the day before they left, saying to stay safe.

Tying up the last bits of buying a flat along with preparing to leave for another region in the space of a week whilst also recuperating from nasty lacerations was exhausting to say the least. As such Dith had spent a great deal of time on the boat sleeping, napping, and generally being exceedingly lazy. He was actually asleep on deck under a sun umbrella when Rosie called, and completely failed to hear her. A sudden cold hand on his stomach and a creepy noise in his ear however soon had him sitting bolt upright and glaring at empty air. “Ты настоящий ублюдок, ты это знаешь?”
Shaking his head Dith got to his feet and peered around to see why Zla had taken it into his head to wake him up. Spotting some of the others over by the rail he yawned and, rubbing his face, set off towards them. Ahh, so they’d arrived had they? Good. Much as the boat was very comfortably equipped he’d never liked sailing much, made him feel sort of trapped with nothing but ocean all around him; nowhere to go. Maybe he should get hold of a largish water type and learn to ride it; that would probably get rid of the vague unease.
“Looks a very nice place,” Dith observed in approving tones as Steven pointed out where they would be staying; a bit more R&R before they headed out on the road sounded lovely to him.

Steven's voice drew the blue eyes away from the shore, and over to the League Champion who was telling those around them about the city they would be porting in. She smiled, "It sounds like you really love this region." She wasn't surprised, She knew she loved Kodo, it was her home, and Hoenn was his home.
The description of the city certainly did sound exciting, there must be so much to see! she was definitely interested in taking a look around, and since Steven said they were going to get to stay in one of the resorts for a couple of days, maybe this meant that they got to experience some of Slateport City before they got down to business and training.
Rosie leaned forward over the raining, being careful not to move enough to risk falling over, holding a hand out to feel the wind and water spraying up from the sea. though she was looking out at the building he had pointed to. "We'll be staying there? wow... Its so beautiful" Rosie could certainly relate to Citrine's excitement of that prospect as well, She looked back over to Steven, hand still draped out over the railing. "Is this city a popular starting point for trainers?" She did wonder the same thing as Citrine, so far they had not had a lot explained to them about what the plans were for how this group will start their training. She giggled a little, looking over at Citrine, Dith and Guy, who joined them at the railing. "Dith~ did you nap well?"
Kiss Kiss, perched her front paws over the top of Rosie's head so she could see the city as well, "Pika Pii!"
"Izumi!" Rosie called, seeing the sky blue haired women sitting meeky close to her friend Shizou. "Shizou!" Rosie waved a hand. "Come on! Come see Hoenn from here! its beautiful!"

"Um... kay..." Izumi got up from her seat and slowly walked over to stand next to Rosie. She wasn't so sure about this now that it was really happening... She was no good at pokemon. Wheatley was a friend, not really a pokemon to her... and she'd only taken in Glados to fix her up... But, she couldn't protect her friends if she couldn't battle pokemon and win... Izumi grabbed her other arm and shrunk into herself, not really paying attention to the aesthetics of the approaching city.

The man chuckled at Citrine's rather obvious enthusiasm, and shook his head. "I've decided each of you deserves a break. You've been through a lot lately. So feel free to do what you like for the next two days. There is plenty to see and do in Slateport."
Steven then looked over to Rosie. "No actually. Despite being one of our biggest cities, Slateport doesn't actually have a gym, and our region's top Pokemon Professor is in Littleroot Town. Most of our best trainers come from smaller towns and villages. No matter where they come from though, most start in the area of Rustboro, which is where the first official gym is in the League Challenge."

Guy glanced over to Miss Citrine and Dith as they joined the observers, and he gave a friendly smile as Miss Izumi nervously walked over to stand next to Miss Rosie. To be honest, Guy was feeling a little overwhelmed by the idea of an entire new region to explore, but the prospect was just as thrilling as it was intimidating. That was the challenge of it, of course, and that was what made it worthwhile. He gazed out towards the looming city for a few more minutes before remembering a question he had been wanting to ask Steven.
"Steven," he called to the silver-haired man. "I forgot to ask: isn't there an oceanic museum in Slateport City? Is it still there?" He had read a few things about the Oceanic Museum of Slateport and how it was involved in the criminal schemes of an organization in Hoenn some years back. Evil syndicates seemed to be somewhat of a common occurrence. Guy asked because he was genuinely curious. It would be interesting to see that museum if he got the chance during their stay.
While the view was very lovely to behold, Anonymes soon grew bored of just looking at the horizon and instead hovered over to where Miss Rosie and Miss Kiss Kiss were standing. When he reached the two, he spun happily in a circle and playfully poked the Pikachu. ["Hi, Miss Kiss Kiss! How are you? Are you excited for our adventure? I think it's going to be a lot of fun!"]
Oki silently walked behind the happy Lampent as the Ghost made his way over to the pink human's Pikachu. Oki was not familiar with many of the humans that were accompanying them to this place called Hoenn, and so the Zoroark's eyes were constantly shifting around suspiciously, keeping tabs on every living being on board. The only two he was not suspicious of was Sir Guy [of course], and the blue-haired female whom Oki had seen when his current master had bested him. He regarded the heart-marked Pikachu with a serious gaze. ["...You are Kiss Kiss, I presume? Anonymes has mentioned you from time to time."] Oki folded his arms across his chest. ["I am Oki."] ...He wasn't the best with first introductions.

Hearing there was no gym, Citrine deflated just a little. Not much, but a little. She wanted to get started right now. But then, when would she have a chance to see this place again? She listened as Guy asked about a museum. That sounded booooooooooring. "Are there strong trainers around here too?" Nornsteen tugged one of the girl's hair tails again.
"Haunt haunter! Haunt haun haunter-ter!" the white pokemon scolded her. Citrine looked at the pokemon and pouted. The ghost pat her head as the girl looked at the other trainers who had joined them at the side of the boat. She didn't know many of them. The tall blond, the girl with the really cool arm that she was afraid to say hi to, the one who asked about the museum- Citrine hoped he wasn't really as boring as he seemed right now. Maybe she should do what Nornsteen seemed to be implying. Relax and get to know everyone.

Two days. It wasn’t all that much but it was better than none and he was feeling progressively less sore and exhausted anyway, it would do fine. “I did thanks,” Dith smiled at Rosie, “right up until the point when Zla put a cold hand on my stomach and said ‘bleeeeeegh!’ in my ear.”
Spotting Izumi doing what he had started to think of as her shy Squirtle shrink – had she a shell she would no doubt have vanished inside it – Dith moved over a little to stand on the other side her and touched her elbow briefly, offering her a reassuring smile. “Alright there? Looking forward to getting off the boat?” He still didn’t know her all that well at all so he wasn’t sure if talking to her would reassure her or not, but he was hardly going to get to know her better by just staying away. The others were all outgoing to a greater or lesser degree so getting them talking and finding out more about them was easy, no so much with shy Squirtle. Still, she’d come out of her shell in the end, he was sure.

Seraphine sat up from her deck chair with a haughty expression and a slight huff. Arceus, they acted like they'd never seen another region before! And interrupting her sunbathing with all their chatter. Honestly. The black Beldum beside her noticed her rise, so he quickly pulled a white sundress from her bag with his hooked feet and offered it to her with a happy whir. She ignored the noise but took the dress, quickly pulling it over her head - her pink and black bikini was still visible beneath it, but then, that was the whole point - and fixed a wide-brimmed white hat over her curly brown hair. One slender hand extended towards the Beldum, palm up and fingers twitching impatiently before a pair of large sunglasses was placed in her open hand. Sera put them on before putting her sandals - high heeled, of course - back on.
Anastasia trotted along next to her trainer as the teenager joined the rest at the railing, and she waved a hand a bit dismissively. "Don't tell me none of you has ever been here before?" She sounded a bit incredulous at the prospect, but dismissed it quick enough and turned to Steven with slightly raised, manicured eyebrows. "Are we going to Lilycove too? Ooh, Rosie, we'll have to go shopping! You'll love the department store." Because clearly shopping was the most important thing.

"I-I'm fine... I just... um... never did pokemon battles..." Even though she'd grown up in a city with a pokemon gym, a young Izumi had been preoccupied with working in her father's shop and learning all she could about machines; When she found Wheatley, she'd still had no interest in joining the league, and neither had her pokemon friend.
"U-um..." She spoke up barely above a squeak when Sera said something about no one being to Hoenn before. "I-I-I'm from... here- Um- N-not here, b-but... L-Lavaridge..." She tapered off at the end and retreated into her shoulders, regretting saying anything as soon as she'd finished.
