The Clinic

Here at Sonata Health Clinic, we strive to provide all our patients with the best care possible of such a small, straggling, useless town as this! We offer pharmaceutical, medical, and alternative treatments, such as acupuncture, aromatherapy - the works! We hope you like how that sounds, because, really, where else are you going to go? Honestly, take a look outside, people! We don't even have a highway! You can't see the mainland for miles! Why did anyone even come back? There was a hurricane! It destroyed everything! Shouldn't that be enough for people to get that the Goddess doesn't - er.

..What is meant to be said is that.. We're a nice, friendly, welcoming staff, though small, we have the most advanced technology we and the mayor can afford! Three rooms, one examination room, two offices, and a staff room for us to play paper football, drink coffee, sleep, and eat the food that YOU won't be able to have as a patient! HA! We hope you enjoy your fish oil, butter-less bread, soy milk muffins, and lizard tails! But, seriously, it's not THAT bad here. Every room has a television, radio, and chains to.. restrain patients when we don't feel like dealing with them. You know, I shouldn't even be the one talking here. Probably lose all our customers.. Oh, well. Have fun.

Vladimir was just outside the clinic, it was a day he was to see Eva for his therapy. And while they had made a lot of progress in retrospect, Vlad still had a lot of work to do. But this time he had Dante accompanying him. Why? Because after 3 years of being cooped up in that clinic, with everything taken away from him, not only had Eva become a safety net that he needed, but he thought everyone should see the woman. She was harsh, she could be a cold b***h, she was intimidating with her height and her looks, but she had helped. Forcefully and with the help of Romane and Vlad's own stupid action of stepping foot into this place 9 or so years ago.

Shaking his head Vladimir finished the thin cigar he was smoking and put it out in the ash tray outside of the building. "Come on." Vlad said gently to Dante, he couldn't make his brother follow but he knew he would. Just like he knew now that everything was out of his control. It depressed him to no end to think like that, but it was true if their therapy sessions had taught him anything. Vlad's anger outbursts had been subdued as well along with the anxiety from his past. But because all of this Vlad didn't have much after all was said and done. His son he barely saw, Camelia would rather watch him burn in a fire, His friends had left, others he lost contact with. All Vlad really had was his brother and the store. It was almost back to square one...

Vlad walked up to the secretary's desk, was the girl even in. He didn't even think he had properly met her. More than half the time the girl was under the desk or hiding somewhere else. And when he did see the Secretary it was only for a brief moment, not enough to get acquainted or even know her name. Currently no one sat in the seat behind the secretary's desk. Searching for the little bell on the desk, Vlad lightly tapped it to get anyone's attention. He could go straight to Eva's Office but lately he didn't want to be rude, especially if she was busy. Even if she did expect him, because she had forgotten about him before on purpose or not.
_______________

"I don't want to be here. I don't like her one bit, she's turned you into some.. big ol' softie mop head." Dante said firmly with his arms over his chest. He was dressed in a nice dress shirt and dress pants, but the heels he wore gave away to his true nature. "This is stupid i'm just dropping you off. I'm not talking to her Vlad do you understand?" Dante said in a bossy tone. The drag queen it seemed had almost soaked up the arrogant attitude and easy to snap at nature Vlad once had, before he met Eva. Not that such a thing was possible, but they were twins, yin and yang and no thanks to Eva the twins chi had been thrown out of whack.

Now that didn't stop the submissive-pain loving queen from having the hots for the woman. Eva both scared him and thrilled him, he hated her but he would totally let her dominate him. Needless to say Dante's thoughts on Eva were conflicting, so here he stood with his brother waiting for Eva or the secretary or god knows who to help them.

Had Eva forgotten about Vladimir’s weekly appointment? Oh, of course not! It was the highlight of her career! Of course she wouldn’t forget about him. In fact, she was even, secretly, writing a book about him! She wasn’t quite sure if she was going to call it The man’s delusion or How to be Crazy 101. Eitheer way, she would see once she was done writing it. She was about half in it now and it made her quite happy with herself. It’s not her big sister that would have taken the time to sit down and write something. Sure, Eva wasn’t finish, but she couldn’t really end the book until Vladimir was correct to 100%, which he was far from being, or dead.. which was more likely. Either was, she had not forgot about him.

When she heard the little bell sound coming from the other side of the clinic (thanks to her open door), and the rough voice of Vladmir and his pathetic brother, Eva didn’t get up from her chair. She knew that around that time, Mei was busy hiding in the supply closet (or was it under the water cooler on Mondays?) and that Mao just didn’t care about anything. That was all the staff they had, unfortunately. For a reason that seemed to evade her, they just weren’t able to keep a nurse or a doctor for very long. Oh, what was she thinking. She knew perfectly why no one lasted that long. The only reason both her and Mei were still working there was because she was a strong willed woman who could easily stand up to Mao, and Mei… well… Mei’s mentality had slipped away a while ago. The clinic was more of comfort form a familiar “stable” place. Stable as in something that never changes, not something calm.

But back to the twins waiting. Eva was making sure that the two males would wait as long as she could before the sound of the little bell started to annoy her, which wouldn’t be very long now. Indeed, she was doing all of that on purpose. Vlad wasn’t just one old big crazy man, after all. He also had a huge temper and a need of anger management, and the best way to manage someone’s anger, was to irritate them to the point that anger was showing. If by the time Eva was starting to get irritated at the sound of the little bell Vladimir was still calm, then it meant that their sessions were working and everything was going well (and she could write one more chapter of her book). If, on the other hand, the man was starting fuming… well then, she would have to tie him down on a chair and force him to listen to the My Little Pony movie. Yes, she was ruthless when it came to her work.

Finally, she had enough of the bell’s sound and got up from her chair. She walked down the hallway between her office and the front desk as slow as she could, trying to prolong that moment to it’s maximum capacity. ”Vladimir. You’re here. Have you been waiting long?”, she asked him to test the water. ”I see you brought company. Which one of you two couldn’t be alone for an hour? We worked on that in the past, Dante. I hope it wasn’t you.” Dragqueens were so hard to work with. You never knew if you had to talk to them as a man, a woman or some sick deranged person. She didn’t have anything against Dragqueen. But a Tepes in drag could easily mean that.

Vlad had been getting annoyed, but more at the bell noise- that he was creating- than anyone not coming for them. Why did it have to be that high pitch that just hit his ears right? Almost like nails on a chalk board. He had picked up the bell in the meantime and started trying to tear it apart in passive annoyance. He was close to biting the thing when Eva's voice rang in his ears. He subconsciously smiled and turned in her direction, setting the bell on the desk as an afterthought. "Hey Eva. No we-" Vlad started before Dante burst in.

"I can wait more than an hour without my brother!"
Dante said with a furrowed brow and a cats hiss. "He asked me to come, thank you very much. Said i should be talking to you as much as he does. Well i wont! I'm just dropping him off. So don't get any ideas scary amazon woman..." Dante huffed lightly, before his eyes darted to her shoes. "Nice shoes. " Dante said almost reluctant to say it.

"Do you have to do that every time we're here together?" Vlad said narrowing his eyes at his brother. Did he have to be rude seriously? Things could have turned out much worse for them. Especially Vladimir Jail time didn't sit well with him and he was rather thankful Romane didn't push for that and what little time he did get to see his son, well s**t at least he got to see him! "So just shut it. We weren't waiting that long, and she's right you also didn't want to be left alone. So don't act like i dragged you here Dante." Vlad said firmly.

"That's not the point! Look at what you've done to my brother!" Dante said as he pointed to Vlad and glared at Eva. "Turned him into your little pet."

"Get over yourself Dante.
" Vlad hissed this time, his eyes narrowed at his brother. It seems the sessions where causing a rift between the two twins, and a lot of pent up anger towards one another was brewing beneath the surface for them both.

"Get over myself! I want my brother back!" Dante stepped up to Vlad. He wrapped his arms around his brother and pulled him close. "I miss the old you." Dante said as he snuggled into Vladimir resting his head on his brother's shoulder.

Vlad's arms remained at his side, not hugging his brother back. He looked over to Eva, he was irritated and it showed but not outright angry. He also looked defeated, he didn't know what to do with his brother. Or what else to tell the man. "This is why i wanted him to come along." Vlad said gently to her.

Eva stayed on her side of the front desk, letting the two twins finishing up their banters. She couldn’t really care less of what they were saying; she had heard all of that numerous times in the past, now. In fact, would she had a nail file with her right now, she would start using it on her nails and just completely ignore the two twins. With those two, it always was the same thing over and over again. ‘Oh, no~ I’m a poor man who’s life man him into a pathetic fool’ or ‘You silly woman! I’m a better woman than you even though I’m a horrible person who don’t realizes my flaws! Still, will you sleep with me?’. Yes, always the same thing. After over ten years of always hearing that, it was no wonder that one would end up getting bored of it.

When she realized that neither of the two males in front of her were talking anymore, she snapped out of her day dream and stared back at them. ”Sure, you want your brother back, but doing so would endup with him in jail and with intensive therapy and forbidden of ever seeing you. Again. Ever. Is that what you want?” This wasn’t a question. It was a pure threat. She only needed to sign one little paper and neither of them would see each other ever again. Of course, for the sake of her book, she didn’t want to do that. It wouldn’t be a good end and people wouldn’t want to buy it. She wasn’t just writing for fun, afterall. She rolled her eyes at the whole passive aggressive show that Dante was giving her, ignoring it to the best of her abilities. Instead, she simply walked toward him, grabbed his ridiculously long hair and started to drag him toward her office. ”You’re coming Vlad?”, she asked the slightly more mature twin. She would charge him double her times today. She wasn’t going to deal with Dante for free, after all. ”Tell me how you’ve been doing while we walk.”

Dante opened his mouth to retort but he furrowed his brow and snapped his mouth shut. Damn that b***h and her.. power. Before he knew it though Dante had his hair yanked, with a yelp leaving his lips, and he was being pulled away from his brother who didn't appear to be helping him one bit! In fact was he smirking?! OH that b***h! "You know if you're going to pull my hair you should at least buy my dinner first! Or smack my a** and make it the whole shebang ya sorry excuse for a dominatrix!" Dante protested, only slightly honestly it was rather thrilling when was the last time he had his hair pulled?

Vlad smirked he had to enjoy the bit of abuse Eva gave his brother, besides he knew Dante got off on it so it wasn't as torturous as it seemed. "You know that's only going to fuel his fire for you Eva." Vlad said gently with a smile before he shook his head and ran his hand through his own long hair. That reminded him..

"Ive been doing alright. Mostly.." Vlad said as he slipped his hands in his pockets and followed after Eva like a loyal dog. "I've been reviewing a few things we've gone over. Thinking of getting a hair cut. Trying to be a good father to my son when i do see him. I try not to show my anger around him, try not to bad mouth anyone. I try to just make him happy. But i am depressed that i don't get to see my son more often, afraid that he doesn't love me and never will, no matter what i do. Sad that most of my friends have either moved or I've lost contact with. But... I am grateful for what time i do get to see my son. And well the rest of it is just.. mostly out of my control isn't it?" Vlad said as they entered Eva's office he stopped at the door and leaned against it, being the last one in after all. He dropped his gaze and bit his lip.

"My anger comes in erratic bursts... and most of it seems directed at myself. Over little things too.. and big things. Get depressed enough around a holiday and..." Vlad's eyes darkened and he went quiet for a moment, his eyes still on the ground in front of him. "Lets face it.. its my fault i dont have any friends but my brother. Most people including Cam would rather watch me burn then even look at me on the street. My son treats me like glass because of what Romane tells him. And she's right... Jacob barely tolerates me, im sure he'd rather i not be involved in my son's life at all either. And sometimes.. lately..." Vlad said as he frowned his emotions switched from being amused at his brother's discomfort to a dark sadness and self hate.

"Lets face it.. the world would be better off without me. My anger's turned inwards.. started to.. whatever its not important when. Least i think its my anger.. depression... something like that." Vlad said gently.

"He's stared at a few knife sets.. for a bit too long, if you know what i mean." Dante said as he looked to Eva. "I can snap him out of it but.. its starting to scare me." Dante said concerned.

"I dont even realize im doing it until Dante says something. Its just certain moments where reality hits me hard. I see a nice family and realize its my own fault i dont have that. And that ill probably never have that." Vlad said before he shook his head and left the door to enter the room some more. "But then i remember what i do have, a son, my brother and the store." Vlad said gently as he put his hands on the back of a chair that was in front of Eva's desk. "I sound like a whiny b***h don't i?" Vlad questioned with a shake of his head and a sad smile. "Things could always be worse.. Jail.. imagine what they would do to me in there? Especially with the ***** rumor still surrounding me? Or I could get a nice padded room with a small window, or no window to the outside world." Vlad said with a frown, a defeated look in his eye. But he knew he had no one to blame but himself for his own pain, and that just made matters worse.

”Do you always have to be so crude, mister Tepes?”, she asked the Twin who’s hair was currently being pulled. Such despicable language. No wonder he hadn’t been able to score a real date in forever. Oh well, what could you do. It’s like she could put a devise on him that would give him electric shocks everything he said something crude like that…. Actually, now that she thought about it, she could totally do that! She would have to try to convince Mao to let her order one of those machines. Knowing the Chinese midget, he would be more than willing to spend a little money on that thing. In fact, he would probably be using it on himself while – oh dear lord. There went any envy of Eva’s to buy that machine. No, that would be one thing she should never bring up to Mao. Just the thought of it was bringing shivers down on her spine. Some mental images you did not want to see. Lucky Mei, under the cooler seemed like such a wonderful place right now.

”Well, Vladmir. I am happy to hear you think so. Only some years ago, you would never have amitted you had a problem, and now, look at you, actually trying to control it and not make it rule your life. Such progress, really. Too bad it doesn’t run in the family.” On that, she pulled Dante’s hair a little bit more, before simply pushing him against a chair. She took her time to walk around her brown wood desk, steady companion in her war against the crazies and sat down on her leather chair. She took a small bottle of hand sanitizer that was in front of her, poured a generous amount in her right hand and then started to rub them together. Who knew just where Dante’s hair had went before coming to the clinic? Or anytime before that. She wasn’t one of those germs freak, but sometimes… yeah. Better just not think of it.

She kept listening to what Vladiir had to say as she rubbed the sanitizer on her hands, and was truly disappointed that he was thinking of suicide. Well, not that he wanted to do, but rather that he remember he shouldn’t do it because he had a son and a brother. She would have love to tell him to just go ahead and let his child think he was a coward, which would have discouraged him, but there he went, beating her to it. Party Pooper. Disappointment showed itself on her face for a brief moment, but quickly went away as she resumed her attention on Vlad. What was he whining about now? Oh, right. ”Trust me, Vladimir. There’s only one b***h in this room and it’s neither of us two.” She smiled at Dante. ”But back to business. I believe we have wasted enough money those three years you had been here, I’m not going to send you again into a padded room. And if knifes are so entertaining to you, why not just take a cooking lesson? Stop whining about anything and everything and occupy yourself. Get a hobby! I dunno, you could try woodwork, gardening, painting by number, knitting, whatever you feel like doing. Staying home doing nothing but look pathetic image of yours won’t help you in any way.” Did she meant a mirror or Dante’s face? Oh, who knew. At that point, it was all the same thing.

The yanking of the hair had Dante grinning, excitement and lust in his eyes. He was only really listening to half of what Eva was saying, though it really wasn't directed at him now was it? He hadn't been treated like a whipping boy in awhile and despite his words earlier towards her, Vlad was right, Dante's lustful gaze was on Eva. The last yank on his hair had him biting back a moan of pleasure as it raced through him. The shove into the chair only made him want more. Oh why did she have to tease like that? The rest of Eva's speech Dante was silent as he slowly came down from the adrenaline rush the tall woman had caused him. He hadn't even heard a word she said, other than him being a b***h. Oh he was a b***h alright, her b***h if she wanted him to be. Because Goddess did he really have the hots for her at the moment. If he provoked her maybe she would hit him. Maybe even hard enough to leave a scar. Goddess did he miss those days.
_________

Vlad had slipped into the other chair in front of Eva's desk and thought about what she said. So he wasn't a b***h for this, and he was making progress? Really? Such a thought made him smile a bit. That made him feel good to hear Eva say such a thing. So he was doing good, and she wasn't about to send him to a padded room. That really had a light sigh of relief leaving him. Of course the only reason why Eva's opinion mattered so much to him now was well.. how long he had known the woman. Not to mention how right in the end she had been. He fought tooth and nail against her and still did at times. But on this.. her advice was, well at least to him felt motherly. Then again obviously he had warped idea of what a mother was.

"Thanks... That.. is actually nice to hear you say, Eva. "
Vlad said gently referring to Eva's earlier comment about the progress thing and how it made her happy. So he still could make someone happy, maybe everything wasn't so bleak. "But a hobby? I already have a hobby of reading books, i mean that usually occupies my time... " Vlad's voice trailed off as a thought hit him. Reading books was a hobby however that is if you could keep yourself focused on the subject you were reading and lately he couldn't. Eva's suggestions repeated in his head, why would woodwork, gardening, knitting and all that be different then- "Oh..." Vlad said as he blinked in realization. It was something physical to occupy not just his hands but his mind. You couldn't really dwell on subjects when you had to pay attention to not slicing open a finger or counting stitches or ...whatever you did with knitting.

"Knitting?" Vlad questioned as that sank in. It seemed so.. unmanly. Who knit, honestly? Other than old coots and maybe young girls. I mean it was so feminine to do.. speaking of feminine... Vlad's eyes caught Dante's lustful smile and that oh so thrilled look in his eye. Why the hell was he looking that way for? Vlad narrowed his eyes and followed Dante's gaze to Eva. He shot a look back at Dante whose body language screamed, no.. begged to be ******** by the blonde woman. Vlad's eyes narrowed further and he felt his lips going into a frown, his teeth coming together in a clench. What the hell was his problem!? His brother couldn't look at Eva that way! That little whore! What sick deranged-!

Vlad's thought wasn't finished as a light bulb went off in his head, Eva's last words sunk in deep. It wasn't just a comment about him wallowing in his own pathetic depression. But also to get away from his brother's own sick behaviors. Behaviors that he indulged in before, treating a person like a object, a mere fetish to satisfy a ever present lust, all because they couldn't cope properly with real life! Hobbies?! What hobbies had they had back then? Other than ********?! Or pursuing someone to ********?! And look where it had gotten them! Vlad's anger dropped and was exchanged for a paled expression of realization and disgust. His gaze dropped from his bother to the floor.

It wasn’t that Eva didn’t notice the way that Dante was looking at her, if ‘looking’ was an appropriate word, lusting was probably closer to the truth, but in reality, she just didn’t care about it. Even if Dante was remotely her type, which he wasn’t at all, a slimy wart-full toad was probably closer to her type than someone like Dante, she still wouldn’t even give him a second glance. He was a deranged, gross, filthy, psychotic individual. Also, he was her patient, and she wasn’t the kind to mix work with her life, especially when she had seen the medical history of her patient. Like if she was going to go with someone who had contracted STDs. Boiling a person to sterilize them before physical contact was just too much work. So, for all those reasons listed above, she just had never paid any attention to the way the man was looking at her, even thought she knew full well what his intentions were. However, this time, Dante was pushing it a bit too much for her liking.

”Mister Tepes, not you Vlad, would you please stop looking at me like I’m a piece of meat?”, she told the brother without even glancing in his direction. ”I would hate to take a restraining order on you… especially knowing who the new Sherriff is. You wouldn’t want Sherrif Murrow to… deal with you more than you’d wish, now would you?” Her tone was firm and dry in order to show him that she wasn’t kidding. She also looked at him this time, straight in the eyes. It wasn’t much to ask Romane to file a RO for her. In fact, she would probably give Eva a gift as a thank you for letting her do it. The woman’s disdain of the Tepes Brothers wasn’t something new and was well known around town.”You understand, right? Good. Now, back to you, Mister Tepes. The less creepy one, I mean.”

She returned her gaze back toward Vladmir who didn’t seem to know what Knitting was. What was he? A Moron? Well, if those last couple of years had showed her anything, it was that Vladimir wasn’t always the sharpest tool in the shed. ”Yes, Vladimi; Knitting. It’s a method by which thread or yarn may be turned into cloth or other fine crafts. Stereotypical known to be practiced by old women. Surely you’ve heard about it in the past. I doubt you were so secluded as to never seen anything like that before.” She hadn’t said that he had to do, it was just a suggestion inside of list of many, but eh, if it had caught his attention, why not? It was still better than doing drugs and rapping men and woman for what she was concerned.

Vlad was back to digging his nails into the chair's armrests while glaring at his brother when Eva handled the situation. He was ready to lunge after his brother and force him into therapy, sign away Dante's freedom like Romane had his. But Eva's words had his anger subsiding rather quickly. His hazel gaze softened and his body relaxed and he focused back on Eva. The less creepy one? That.. that was a good thing right? When Eva went on to explain what knitting was he shook his head and waved his hand to try and stop her but it didn't work. "I know what knitting is i just... i was more questioning it's suggestion." Vlad said gently before he stood up. He didn't feel comfortable sitting for so long, so slipping his hands into his pockets Vlad lazily paced the room.

"I never thought of actually having like.. a hobby like that. A physical one anyways. But it makes sense. If i'm focused on something that takes up physical and mental energy i wont have time to let my mind wander." Vlad said more as an inner observation for himself than for Eva or anyone else in the room. "Well that solves what i wanted to talk to you about upfront. But.. wasn't there something we should work on?" Vlad asked Eva, he couldn't remember but he felt like there was. Or maybe he just didn't want to leave just yet. He had approached Eva's desk and was just toying with a pencil, like a kid avoiding leaving just yet. Eva had become a safe person to talk to, someone who had gotten right under his skin, ripped away any walls he had and forced reality upon him. And while he had fought all the while, the woman's harsh words and logical advice had become a needed source in his life. That...

And he didn't exactly want to head back home where Dante would be free to b***h his little drag queen head off at him. His brother was becoming a stressor in his life, and Dante's own issues were coming to light the more Vlad made headway with his own. He was starting to hate his brother for what they had become. Feeding off one another's sicknesses and just furthering their plight.
____________

Dante rolled his eyes but at least stopped staring at Eva like that. He watched Vlad instead with a cold gaze. Once Vlad was done talking and had gone silent standing besides Eva's desk like a servant awaiting orders Dante let out a hiss and frowned. "Yeah. Knitting... that'll solve all his problems. It's bad enough he looks up to you like some ******** Mother figure. But now he wants me talking to you on a regular basis. We had something Vlad.." Dante scolded, but a hurt tone lay underneath all that as the drag queen crossed his arms over his chest.

"We were two twins against the world. It was just us, no matter what happened we could survive through it as long as we had each other. And now SHE.." Dante said as he glared at Eva. "Has taken you away from me. Half the time i think you'd rather be in this office then at our apartment. Nothing's the same anymore, and now you want me to change like you are?" Dante said coldly as he looked to his brother whose back was facing him. "Change into what everyone else is? A boring normal person? Put a restraining order on me, i don't care. Throw me in jail." Dante said as he stood up and stomped over to his brother, well the best he could without breaking his heels.

"And you can just go on and leave me to rot. Just like your going to anyways with Blondie here telling you what to do. You were going to do it anyways with Camelia before all this s**t happened. Leave me. So why don't you just go and do it?" Dante said his tone bitter and hurt, he was staring straight at Vlad whose eyes were upon the desk infront of him.
____

This is the bitching Vlad didn't want to hear, that anger quickly came back in his eyes and he tensed again. The pencil he had been playing with was now in two pieces in his hand. The more his brother talked the more it just sounded like nails on a chalk board. Couldn't he see he was doing this for- you know what ******** it he didn't have to defend himself. He was doing this for his own good and he wanted Dante to follow suit.

"And don't sit there and stay silent when she threatens me like that. Your my brother you should defend me. Its not like i'm the only one whose stared at women like pieces of meat. Lets examine what you did Vlad, hounding after woman like a wolf on an injured sheep. Sweet talking them until they let you ******** them and then you left them the next morning. And now you think your better than me-" Dante's voice just kept going on and on and Vlad was quickly loosing his control. His knuckles were already white from the fists he was making and the slow grind of his teeth was a preemptive warning that Dante was just oblivious to. "And now you're taking.. no scratch that, your not taking her side your fluffing her damn pillows just so you can get some kind of approval out of her!" Dante hissed as he pointed to Eva.

That issued a low growl from Vlad and his eyes filled with anger turned on Dante. "If you want to ******** her-" Dante's words were cut off as Vlad's arm shot out and his hand grasped tightly around his brothers windpipe. Unable to breathe, Dante grasped onto Vlad's wrist to try and pull him off but it wasn't going to work.

It was such a pleasure to know that Vladmir was finally seeing the errors of his way and actually understanding what to do to change then. Oh, Eva never had any pretention of making him a perfect human being, her aim had only been to make him better, and this was exactly what had happened in the last ten year. Of course, with someone has damage and rock bottom as Vladmir was when she had started to work on him, up and better really was the only way left to go. It was hard to be any worst than what he had been when she had met him. ”I didn’t say you had to be knitting, Vladimir. It was just one suggestion among many”, she said, shrugging her shoulders. Gardening or doing some woodwork were all good activities the black haired man could do to occupy his time. Of course, the idea of him sitting on a couch watching a soap while knitting had Eva smile in the back of her mind. It was quite the funny thought.

”I am happy that you understand why you need to do that. Progress, Vladmir, Progress. The same cannot be said of everyone, unfortunatlly.” She motioned toward the still sitting Dante with her chin. Never in her near twenty years of psychiatry had she met someone as stubborn as Dante. It was one thing to not admit to it’s fault, it was another to know them and just flatly refused to change. He was frustrating, at best. No, Dante. Knitting won’t solve all his problems. It’ll solve some of them. You know, trying to make one self better? I don’t think you understand that notion.”, she flatly criticise the drag queen. And then, he started talking. And talking. And talking. And talking. Oh, those Tepes brother sure loved to talk when it was to either complain or talk about their own issues in order to attract pity on them. Oh, yeah, she knew full well that tactic. They, or well, Dante in this situation, just wanted more attention on himself instead of his brother. As unprofessional as it was, Eva just couldn’t stop herself from rolling her eyes at the speech. He just irritated her all that much.

”Dante. If you feel so alone and sorry for yourself, why don’t you try to make friends? Ever since we met ten years ago I’ve been trying to tell you that, but you just flatly refused to do so, and the very few times you had something close to a friend, you destroyed everything with your attitude. Your brother is his own person, you need to separate yourself from him. I’m not saying to never see him ever again, you can stay bestfriends and everything, but you still need to spend time on your own. Now, of course, with an attitude and behaviour like you, no wonder no ones likes you! Or am I wrong? Is there someone in this town you can call a close friend? And Also – Vladmir, can you stop strangling your brother? You have three seconds before I call security. I want you both out of here before I’m done dialing. I’ll be sending your bill at your address.” Talk about cutting a session short, but she wasn’t going to accept that kind of violence in her office.

Vladimir can you stop strangling your brother? The simple request resonated in Vladimir's mind. He released his grip on his brother, dropping his arm to his side as they were told to get out before Eva finished calling security. Damn.. this is not how he wanted this session to turn out. This was the last time he tried to bring his brother along on one of his sessions.

Dante was too busy being strangled, to respond to any of Eva's inquiries. When Vlad released him, just as white spots started to dance in front of his eyes, Dante collapsed to the floor in a heap. He had heard what Eva said, and it would take a bit for her words to sink in. Right now the drag queen was coughing up a storm and sucking deep breaths to try and regain the color in his face. Vlad had strangled him before but never that bad! He dare not even talk with how sore his throat felt he was sure his voice box was temporarily damaged.

"Sorry Eva." Vlad said gently as he looked to Eva. He sneered lightly at himself before reaching down and grabbing Dante by the arm. He hoisted his still recovering brother from the floor and pulled him out of the room. Vlad wasn't about to have another run in with Romane. So he yanked his brother along and out of the clinic.

Talia's life had been quite exciting in the last couple of hours. First, she shot a panda with a tranquilizer, met a savage young boy and got mauled by a tiger. It was definitely not her day. Moving onto the actual state of Talia, she was bleeding profusly and walking with a limb. Her skin growing more pale by the minute. Her hands pressing a ripped pieces of her pants against her wound so it was drenched with red. Her own expression somewhere between confusion from the mass blood loss and pain from, well, the major claw mark placed an inch above her hip.

Stumbling into the building, Talia was completely unaware of the excess blood that was spilling from her cloth. The woman used whatever energy she had left to limb over to the counter and utter, "Doctor?" Her voice weak, "Tiger scratch." Scratch was a bit of an understatement, which could be seen as her hands stumbled and the dirty cloth fell, revealing two fairly large cuts from the middle claws with two minor ones running beside them. She would have tried to manage a smile if Talia wasn't so concerned about the fallen cloth that she painstakingly tried to pick up. After a few shocking amounts of pain, she gave up and simply stood back up, waiting for some kind of response.

Mei was enjoying a rather quiet day in the clinic, not unlike any of the others she had during her seventeen years as receptionist. The children were at school, she had finished her usual daily routine, and so she was enjoying a cup of tea at her desk -- she was thirty-six now, afterall, it was about time she made extra strides to become a Real Lady. And Real Ladies drank tea during their free time! It was actually turning out to be a rather relaxed, lovely day. That is, until the front door opened and Mei glanced up to see a young woman who looked like she was on the verge of death. Her teacup clattered noisily against the saucer as she set it down, and gawked up at Talia as she stumbled up to her desk. Her own face had grown pale as well, almost matching Talia's pallor. A tiger scratch? If Mei hadn't been living on the island for seventeen years, she would have thought Talia was instead. But she knew better than to doubt anything on this island, so instead she just let out an overwhelmed "You're bleeding!" This all felt a little like deja vu, a girl stumbling through the front door with an inexplicable injury, and bleeding all over the floor. She was going to have to clean that up later, and she hated having to get blood stains out of things! Thankfully, in seventeen years, she had become at least a little prepared for things like this, so instead of going dizzy at her desk, she shot up out of her chair (which really didn't help her dizziness) and scurried over to one of her cupboards, grabbing a bundle of old towels. Returning to her desk, she shoved them at Talia to stop the bleeding. "Oh my, oh my, that looks painful. Are you okay? How did it happen? A tiger, you said? Oh, no, that's not important. Doctor!" she began blubbering at a mile a minute, eventually giving up and shouting to Mao, her Chinese slurred in desperation.

As soon as that uttered cry had reached through the door of Dr. Xiqui's office, the man had burst out, holding a peculiar looking, long, black, and somewhat wet object in one hand, while the other grasped onto the knob of the door. Behind him came a stream of steam of a sickeningly sweet odor, something he paused to wave at so he could get a breath of fresh air. Mao loved the scent of licorice-dipped tongue as much as anyone, but even he could grow tired of breathing in just that for the last few hours. He glanced down the hall for a second, wondering briefly if Mei's cry had sounded urgent enough for him to not.. ...Nooo, of course not. Mao was sure she was overreacting again. Probably realized a minute too late that her tea was spiked with pureed crickets. So, he hummed lightly to himself as he carefully hung the length of the cow tongue on his doorknob, allowing it to dry in a nice horse-shoe like shape. Ah, it would be fun eating that later~ But, for now, he would have to walk down the hall and – blood? He stopped dead as his eyes were drawn to a small trickle of red on his floor. ..Oh, bother, not again. “Mei, clean that up.” He drawled out in Chinese first as he looked to the source and – ah. He looked back to her rather crossly, “Mei, what are you doing? Get that woman to a room now. Imbecile.” He spat out before he turned back on his heel and rather giddily went into the closest room to get everything set up – he hadn't had to deal with an actual patient for awhile! This would be fun – or he would make it fun.
